Goods and bads

Room was clean and staff was helpful and friendly. It is 15 minutes from the waterfront and about the same from the Ramblas. From the rooftop, it has an incredible all around view of Barcelona.

Washroom was outdated and the room was quite small. The washroom door was in front of the bed and the light switch outside of the bathroom, so any night trips will make the other person in bed get a balst of light. Also, we were supposed to get a free room upgrade to Superior double and I don't think we got it considering the size of the room. If it was the superior, not sure how small a standard would be.

Will stay here again without hesitation. Great location to the metro, 20 steps away!!

There is nothing to complain about this hotel. The staff was very helpful, especially the 2 door men, names I did not get. One was a taller gentleman and the other was medium height and they both were there on Sunday. Staff at check in were great and gave us recommendations around the neighborhood for excellent food. The coffee machine was good and the rooftop bar was cozy and very comfortable.

a tale of 2 halves.

the size of the room was really good and unexpected and the rooftop bar was nice.

the sound proofing between our room and the room next door and above was so bad, we didn’t get any sleep for the 3 days that we were there. really disappointing given the price of the hotel. honestly probably the worst sound proofing quality I’ve ever experienced in a hotel, we were kept awake until 2-3am and woken up at 6-7 every day.

Buen lugar para visitar Barcelona

Muy buena ubicación, al lado del metro, pero puedes ir caminando a muchos de los centros de interés. Camas muy cómodas, con muchas almohadas. La habitación era acogedora. El desayuno muy rico, con zumo de naranjas exprimidas, bollería fresca, fruta, huevos, embutido, pequeño pero variado. El personal muy amable

Quizás podrían renovar los baños, pero por decir algo, porque estaban bien

Wspaniały hotel, idealna lokalizacja. Bardzo wygodnie, czysto, wyjątkowo. Genialny taras na 10 piętrze. Super widok na Barcelonę. Wszędzie blisko. Stacja metra przy samamy wejściu do hotelu. Łatwy dojazd. Okolica w porządku. Personel miły I uprzejmy. Pobyt rewelacyjny.

Comfortable and convenient for a work trip.

A nice, large bedroom with a very comfortable bed. Our room was also (thankfully) very quiet, especially considering the hotel is located on a very busy road. We were able to leave our luggage at the hotel after check out, and collect it again in the evening.

The Hotel parking is expensive. We found an alternative solution nearby for half the price. The area around the Hotel is not the best. We have previously stayed in nicer areas of Barcelona.

Solides Hotel

Das Personal war in allen Bereichen sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, die Poolanlage sehr sauber, die Zimmer in Ordnung.

Wir hatten kein Frühstück gebucht, durften aber trotzdem frühstücken. Allerdings war die Auswahl an Brot und Brötchen nicht besonders groß, es war eher ein englisches Frühstück. Das Rührei hat gar keinen Geschmack und es gab nur Instantkaffee. Für 17,50 € pro Person viel zu teuer.

We had a fantastic trip - it was a girls weekend.

Hotel very central. It is right by the metro and walking distance to Las Ramblas and the harbour. Taxis also outside the hotel. Breakfast buffet was really nice with hot and cold selections. The food and drink at the rooftop bar was treasonable priced and fantastic views from the top. After checkout we could still use the pool and facilities before our late flight with two showers and towels available. Would really recommend this hotel.

We elected to stay here because of the hotel’s high rating and we were so disappointed.

Chef Alex Hernandez of The Wolf Restaurant was outstanding. He has excellent customer service skills. Location near a Super Mercat was ideal and the staff from two restaurants beside the hotel were very warm and friendly.

We arrived very late at the hotel to check in (this was earlier advised to the hotel via email three times and no reply was received). When I commented on our request for rooms close to each other and a baby crib, a most unhelpful reception staff named “Juan” abruptly replied that there was no response to our email because he said the requested rooms were NOT available. He was discourteous and rude. For a family with a one year old staying for total 6 nights for two rooms, it was important for us to be close to each other. This request was done when the booking was made in February. And request was reiterated before we left the previous destination (we drove from San Sebastian where the staff here from another hotel were exceedingly outstanding). We left from Reception / Lobby area after a three hour wait as our rooms could not be extended beyond the 1100H required check out time. When we exited as our airport transfer pick up was for 1430H and although there were no customers checking in at this time, two female staff did not even greet us farewell. Cold and aloof were they. We must comment though that Ofelia from the Front Office team was most hospitable.

Good value for money with very minor issues.

Very friendly staff and a nicely presented room that represented great value. Location was also excellent, literally right by the metro station. Despite the footfall of the street outside it was nice and quiet inside the room. Was promptly provided with extras such as an iron on request. The rooftop space is also a nice place to relax.

The window to my room opened into a central atrium space, which meant no views and no fresh air. It was also quite warm so I didn’t have the best night’s sleep.

Our room was on the first floor, and we could hear a lot of noise from the street. In a neighbourhood like that one, where many people go out at the weekend, the sound isolation of the room needs to be better.

Great location and comfortable hotel to stay!

The breakfast was great! Lovely selection and super fresh! The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable! Always gave us advice on places to visit for dinner or a quiet place to grab a coffee and put in a couple of hours of work.

Exceptional

Really big room, quite a convenient location near La Rambla and the Gothic Quarter. The staff was really helpful. The hotel is located on a main boulevard, right at the metro station exit, so it's quite noisy. I requested a back-facing room which was really quiet so we had a nice rest.

Room isolation was not good, you could hear pretty well noise from the other rooms. However, it was not a problem.

Wonderful staff great hotel

We had a bit of a complicated arrangement but the staff were very helpful with sorting it out, Merce in particular was amazing! We had 2 separate bookings one for 3 people in one room for the first 3 days, and then 2 rooms with 2 people in each because one of our friends joined us. We were able to keep our original room that was bigger and get another hotel room. The views from the top of the hotel are great and there is a large lounge area (which does sadly close around 9)! The hotel is near a metro station which made it very easy to travel around the city.
