Beautiful and relaxing

When we arrived we were a bit taken aback by the entrance but once we were on the first floor we were pleasantly surprised. The room was amazing and very comfortable (yes it was a bit dark but you can expect that when you stay in the middle of one of the small streets in the centre), the staff was super kind and mostly the common area and roof terrace were amazing to have a coffee.

The only point that needs improvement is that there was no hot water left when we wanted to take a shower in the morning around 11….apparantly the hotel has a boiler and hot water can run out…?

A good size room in a very good position. The staff i is really friendly and ready to help with tips and recommendations

Although the room was clean, there was a bad smell coming out the drain shower when dry. Also there was only a small window that didn't let in enough light

Positiv überrascht.

Das Hotel ist super zentral gelegen. Man ist überall sehr schnell. Das Personal ist super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Es ist in einer kleinen Seitengasse versteckt und der Eingang sieht nicht wirklich toll aus. Umso positiver war ich danach überrascht.Die Zimmer sind sehr gross geschnitten. Ich werde definitiv wieder kommen. Auch die Sauberkeit ist einfach nur top.

Das Frühstücksbuffet ist nicht riesig aber komplett in Ordnung. Rührei usw. Werden frisch gemacht auf Nachfrage.

Wspaniałe miejsce, super lokalizacja. Dobre śniadanie, bezproblemowe zameldowanie i wymeldowanie. Niby guesthouse a czuliśmy się jak w jakimś małym butikowym hotelu. Polecamy!

comfy and welcoming stay

really comfy room, good location and great facilities ie water bottle refill station and tv. felt rlly secure and safe with the private entrance room on the first floor before our room door. not too loud outside either.

we had a little shower flood but it was sorted and we were compensated with free drinks and the helpful reception did great with cleaning it up for us

I loved the location, and it was private. Easy to get around, the laundry mat was 2 minutes away. Also, there were plenty of restaurants around that were amazing.

Diese Unterkunft hat nichts von dem erfüllt, was es verspricht. Sie hat weder eine Lobby noch eine vernünftige Rezeption und auch kein vernünftigen Speisesaal. Der Standard erfüllt nicht einmal die Ansprüche einer einfachsten Jugendherberge. Der Eingangsbereich des Hotels ist so unglaubwürdig, dass man sich schon beim Betreten unsicher ist ob man hier richtig ist. Wir dachten erst wir sind im Notausgang. Eine uralte Tür führt in einen Altbau und in ein uraltes Treppenhaus, dass jeden Komfort missen lässt. Es gibt zwar einen Fahrstuhl, der allerdings so klein ist, dass noch nicht einmal unser Kinderbuggy darin Platz fand, geschweige denn eine weitere Person. Wir waren also gezwungen Buggy Kind und Gepäck die Treppen ins 1. OG hinauf zu tragen, wo sich dann die Rezeption befand. Auch das Treppenhaus war so eng, dass das ebenfalls eine Herausforderung war. Zudem hatten wir bereits in der ersten Nacht bis 23h massive Lärmbelästigung durch eine im Gebäude spielende Band. Wie sich herausstellte wird nur ein Teil des Gebäudes als "Hotell" genutzt. Im restlichen Gebäude befinden sich private Appartements. Die Sauberkeit und Ausstattung der Zimmer entspricht bei weitem nicht dem Zustand auf den Bildern. Die Ausstattung ist alt und abgenutzt. Zudem gibt es kein richtiges Badezimmer. Toilette und Dusche wurden frei ins Zimmer integriert. Der Frühstücksraum und auch das Frühstück waren ein Witz. In jeder Jugendherberge bekommt man besseres Frühstück. Wirklich schlecht und die 16 Euro nicht wert. Wir haben uns nach der ersten Nacht entschieden das Hotel zu verlassen. Jeglicher Versuch mit dem Rezeptionist eine Einigung zu finden, was die Stornierung betrifft schlug fehl. Auch ein Gespräch mit dem Hotelmanager wurde uns verwehrt. Sie wäre nicht erreichbar und Booking ist für jegliche Beanstandung zu kontaktieren. Sie könnten da nichts machen. Weder Einsicht noch der Versuch eines Entgegenkommen war sichtbar.

La atencion del personal fue buena. La ubicacion muy buena El desayuno bien.

Tuvimos un pequeño inconveniente al llegar. Solucionado. En la noche las afueras se veía muy oscuro. Pensamos nos habíamos equivocado. Es posible un poco más de limpieza en los cuartos. A localização da Casa Lirio é perfeita. Não poderia ter escolhido um bairro e rua melhor. Fiquei confusa para localizar, pois acreditava que se tratava de um hotel.

Ouvi ruídos de outros hóspedes, o que me deixou um pouco desconfortável, mas barulho da área externa praticamente não houve.

In general the stay was great

The hotel should add slippers as it’s a common thing in most hotels, and I wouldn’t think that I should take one with me, but the floor is super cold so it’s impossible to walk without shoes

Excellent, comfortable and great location.

Modern, clean and fresh. Air con was excellent - too cold at points! Free water if required which was excellent. Great location as well! Second time in Barcelona and this hotel was definitely quieter which made it much easier to sleep at night.

The shower drain sometimes smelled a bit (went away if you ran the water for 5minutes) One morning the drain was blocked which caused a small flood in the room. Staff were very quick to rectify the issue though

big bed, nice decor and balcony. Great location.

The room was really spacious and the air-conditioner was always functional (no need to put in a card) which was great since it was a very hot outside. Water was unlimited and breakfast was optional with a coffee machine available free of charge for a coffee a day. Fridge in the room (empty) which was great to be able to bug food and drinks of our own, or there were cold drinks available to purchase from reception. There was also a nice garden terrace (no views) available to access until 10pm.

The noise from other rooms was more than anticipated, and I am heavy sleeper. The person upstairs (I believe private residence as it was a shared building) was up and seemingly jumping from about 3am all the way through to 4am with music and one morning started clapping really loud about 5am for a long time. There is also quite a lot of street noise despite being off the main sections and not on a road. The accommodation does provide earplugs on the bedside upon arrival, which suggests it is an ongoing issue.

Perfect stay with the best location.

The hotel is stylish, modern and very comfortable. It also smelt lovely. The room was really clean and bed was very comfy. The shower was also incredible. I loved the communal terrace outside it was a lovely way to relax in between exploring the city, covered over with grape vines and birds singing above you. Breakfast was really great - everything you needed to set you up for a day of exploring. There was a choice of continental and freshly cooked eggs, omelette, bacon, fresh juice etc upon request and then good coffee, delicious little pastries, cheese, hams, cakes. Above all the staff were really friendly and the location is perfect. Step out of the property and you’re roaming the streets of the gothic quarter with a top rated restaurant on the same road (Bodega Barritz I think it’s called). It’s a few minutes walk from Las Ramblas and the nearest metro stop for L3.

The balcony is small and it’s more a door onto a little ledge with no seats. Then again, most of Barcelona’s balconies are this.
