Check-in was very quick and simple, and the staff were so friendly. We were upgraded just for being IHG members to a very lovely room. It was immaculate (including the in-between cleaning top-ups during our stay) and even the cleaning staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The hotel had a great restaurant and starbucks and its location was perfect (right next to grand central station where a direct bus runs from the airport).
The only downsides were the fire alarm going off at 3am on the Saturday night, and the 24hour pizza bar not actually serving before lunchtime (and not catering to coeliac). We had a very rainy morning where we were actually wet through, so didn't want to leave again to eat.
