The staff were super friendly and could not do enough to make our weekend special. We booked afternoon tea and that was really nice too, plenty to go round and really tasty. There was a bus stop just over the road that we used to get into town during the day and the hotel staff were kind enough to book a cab for us for the evening, which worked really well. Plenty of on site parking too.

Communication was excellent and staff were really nice and professional. The room we had (Sorrel) was beautiful and very quiet / peaceful facing the rear of the hotel. The breakfast was also lovely with huge choice and very well cooked and presented. Parking was excellent.

Location is very quiet and staff are excellent. Parking is really good and breakfast is superb.

Having visited before we found an excuse to re-book and asked for a specific room the request for which was acknowledged and confirmed. Upon arrival however a different room was allocated (Thyme) which, whilst a lovely room, unfortunately had a strong damp smell just inside the door. It wouldn’t put us off visiting again as the pros far outweighed the cons and hopefully the hotel will sort the problem with that room.

Great location, close to main A roads. Ideal for where I was working. Staff were friendly and attentive, willing to go the extra mile. Food was excellent. Wild mushroom risotto was a delight!! 10/10 for food and staff.

Decor dated, bed not particularly comfortable - Seemed to be two singles of differing heights pushed together. Room not very warm either.

i booked three room for myself and family and all of them were lovely, lots of space, comfortable bed and everything we needed for a great stay.

Helpful employees - being able to bring family members to visit with little notice - being able to get service for same virtually immediately

Friendly staff, excellent breakfast and evening meal, ample parking. Clean, comfortable and spacious room.

Carpets and door mats in entrance hall were dirty and did not create a good first impression, as was the stair carpet. However, everywhere else was very clean.

Lovely building and really good sized rooms. Decor is a little dated in places but sort of adds to its charm. Staff are just lovely. Breakfast was delicious as was evening meal.

Signage was poor, it was very overgrown and we actually drove past twice as the hotel lies behind a lot of greenery.
