A terrible experience - will never go back.

Initial impressions were ok. Manager tried to make us feel welcome.

We had a bad experience here. My wife and I and our daughter had been at Villa 47 for a day. Another group arrived, we were asked to relocate to another room. The other group started to have a party with very loud dance music from club quality speakers and DJ desk. We were told the music would stop at 22:20. It didn't and the manager and owner failed to control the situation. The party group were obnoxious and inconsiderate - they told us they were going through the night till 7 or 8 in the morning. They then relocated the speakers and DJ desk right outside our door. We even had party people enter our room. Eventually at midnight we had no choice but to leave and find alternative accommodation. I have since tried to resolve this situation with the property but they do not respond. In addition the Villa was probably very nice 20 years ago but is now looking tired and even dangerous. Floorboards are rotting and have gone through in places and been covered with mats and rugs. 3rd floor veranda floor boards are rotten, with holes in and feel like they could go through in places. Sink taps are loose. The wooden steps above the pool are loose and would injure someone below. These are secondary issues to having to leave though.

Beautiful Villa, food and staff, very clean! an amazing stay

Absolutely beautiful location and Villa! Very clean and Aesthetically pleasing! Really friendly staff who are willing to help whenever you need! Amazing fresh breakfast! overall an amazing stay, we loved it! beautiful views from the balcony too.

The Villa needs a clearer sign or board at the front! so hard to find the exact location on the road and there’s no direct phone number to contact the reception- would be really helpful for customers if there was one as the phone is only answered sometimes Customers should be notified that card payment is not accepted before making the booking- not everyone comes prepared with cash. Would be nice/professional if the staff were little more trained for greeting guests and informed about prices of stays of guests and what’s included in their stay, maybe the confusions were just caused because of the language barrier sometimes? (English)

Breakfast just basic and looks home make at out side facility. 2 days I left hotel early morning, even inform day before hotel didnt arrange breakfast early or didnt give meal box even I have paid

The muddy road which is the only access to the hotel

The staff:M and B were very considerate & most helpful.The food; a feast! Would love to return there.

It had a surprising Wow factor on entering. open planning. scenic views from bedrooms and split level floors. very stylish

Very minor: no number 47 on the door. drove past a couple of time. Slight mix up with rooms.

It's one if the best places I've ever stayed at! The building itself and its interior are unique, it's a pleasure just to be there and spend time in a spacious hall with a tree in the middle) The hosts are super friendly and helpful, so that you feel like home, and the breakfast is even better than at home) the swimming pool is very nice, clean and cool. I only feel sorry that we spent there just one day as we had to leave Colombo. But I hope to come back one day! )

Wonderful food, beautiful home!

The property was more beautiful than I expected and extremely comfortable. The hosts were exceptional in making me feel welcome and at home. Above all the homemade food was some of the best I have ever eaten and I would recommend staying for the food alone! I would love to return again some time.
