Comfortable and clean room. Helpful staff
Right on the ribiera in popular tourist area. Ok for a couple days but lots of noise from the street

We loved being right in the center of the riverfront activities, and enjoyed sitting in the open window listening to live music. It was convenient to the funicular up to town (to avoid the steps) and we also walked down from town without any problems. We loved Porto and found the people to be friendly, and we enjoyed the lively atmosphere in the city and at the river. We ate at the restaurant "Casario" for dinner on our last night and it was amazing food. We loved the front desk staff, especially Bruno, who were fun, friendly and helpful. The decor was fresh and appealing, like being in a bed and breakfast.

Bruno at the front desk was exceptional. Naomi (sp?) the server for breakfast and the guy that covered for her on weekend. All of the staff were awesome! Food was great. Housekeepers were fantastic!!!
More breakfast choices would be nice. We were there along time so we went through the whole menu.

Breakfast dominated by screeching seagulls so had to move inside. Only one waitress. So if you were in a hurry it would be a problem. No breakfast tea. Breakfast served in reverse order, bread and jams brought to table, then cooked plate, then cereal and yogurt. Odd. Lovely restaurant room with views over the river.
We liked river location, fabulous views, beautiful in the quiet morning, near to Dom Luis bridge. We hired bikes and rode to Foz
We arrived, door locked no-one there. Searched for reception, dragged suitcase upstairs and down. Got back to locked door and after prolonged ringing someone arrived. Not a good start. Pre-arrival the hotel had offered an airport transfer, no price, worded in language that made it sound complimentary. In fact the service was 50 euros. We cancelled it and got a taxi easily at the rank 2 minutes away for 25 euros. That’s not good service. The hotel is on the corner of Ribeiro Square so there is a lot of noise and singing, which can be heard even on 6th floor. However, you are in the thick of things and right on the river
