The staff was extremely attentive and helpful. Isabelle, Maria, and Bruna were all exceptional. They assisted us with train and airport transfers, tours, and restaurant suggestions. Isabelle even went out and bought unsweetened almond milk for my breakfast.

Location is great with a great view of the river and the city
Room too small for bedside tables which are necessary for those of us using bedside CPAP
machines. Also no place to put suitcases except the floor which meant climbing around them. I don’t mind a small room but there needs to be some furniture in the room to accommodate an open suitcase and a bedside table on both sides.

The rooms on the riverside were absolutely stunning: views of the Douro River with its changing moods and with increasing river traffic.
There is an amazing variety of restaurants on the riverside. Also there is a bus, trams, and taxi stand all within the metres of the front door. The tourist attraction were close to the buses and taxi for easy convenience. 1872 River House was an impressive stay in Porto.
