This hotel exceeded all expectations by a mile and then some! We were in Portugal for 2 weeks and stayed at 4 different hotels around the country. This hotel was meant to be the most budget place that we chose as we only stayed two nights, but our stay was fantastic. This hotel feels like a 4 star hotel. Aside from its smaller physical size, it felt as nice and had all of the amenities as the 4-star hotels that we did stay at! Clean rooms and spacious for the boutique scale. Wonderful location. And a great breakfast which is perfect for travelers.

Loved the location. Right next to the river and the beautiful Church of St Francis. The rooms were beautifully designed and comfortable for a couple. Large bed and very clean. The breakfast was also very good and helped start every day we had in Porto! Highly recommend booking at Ribeira Douro.

The images of the room were misleading. It showed the room right next to the river, with river views but the hotel is a block away from the river with no river views
