A beautifully furnished, efficiency Studio suite situated on the banks of the Thames River. The suite is open concept meaning there is not a separate bedroom. Review the photos to get an idea of the space.
The Space
Enjoy our beautifully furnished, air conditioned, self-catering Studio suite situated on the banks of the Thames River in Mitchell, Ontario. The open concept suite features your own private entrance with an Olympic queen bed - 6 inches wider than a regular queen - as well as a queen size sofa hide-a-bed and three-piece bath. Bed and bath linens are included. The kitchenette is complete with bar fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster oven, portable induction cooktop burner, electric fry pan, slow cooker, blender, multiple coffee making devices along with dishes, cutlery and utensils. The 37” wide-screen HD cable TV & DVD player are accompanied with secure, free WiFi.
Guest Access
In season you can enjoy our in-ground heated swimming pool - with limited availability - and the use of a propane BBQ. You can also use our canoe or kayaks for a paddle on the Thames River Mill Pond or go for a walk on the Thames River Nature trail; both are just outside your door. We also have two bicycles available to ride around the town - bring your helmets. Visit the West Perth Wetlands for exceptional bird watching and photographic opportunities. In the winter bring your cross-country skis and head out right from your door. We are only minutes to the Mitchell Golf and Country Club - A picturesque 18 hole golf course maintained in peak condition. Just 15-20 minutes to the Stratford Festival Theatre, Avon Theatre or Tom Patterson Theatre all in Stratford, Ontario. 30 minutes to the Blyth Festival Theatre, 45 minutes to the Grand Theatre in London, Ontario. Only 45 minutes to Grand Bend or Bayfield or Goderich, all on Lake Huron. Just 12 minutes to Monkton and access the famous G2G biking/hiking trail.

Wonderful stay...Gerry and Patty were wonderful hosts, always asking what more they could do for us. Suite was fully stocked even with some special snack items for us to enjoy! Patty very kindly provided my 4 year old granddaughter a basket of books and a doll to play with during our visit and she was thrilled. Wouldnt hesitate to stay here again!

This was a perfect little spot, right by the river. The space is exactly as described in the listing. It has all that one needs, and a well furnished kitchen. The location is nice, right on the river and the trails. It is quiet and cozy. The host are fabulous and very helpful and willing to provide anything needed. The pool is lovely. We didn’t use it, but they had bikes to lend and kayaks. I would highly recommend staying there. We had a wedding in the area and honestly we would mostly out, but it was a great place to come back to and recharge.

We couldn’t have asked for a more peaceful place to enjoy a week away from home. We enjoy Stratford festival so much but have stayed in some busy areas that were cramped for us both to work during the day.
Gerry and Patty were wonderful hosts that thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. We arrived very late the first night but there were snacks and glorious muffins to enjoy with morning coffee so we had time to relax before heading out for the day.
The path along the water and the pool were beautiful.
It was such a nice garden getaway from our busy city life. I’d return in a heartbeat.
