Beautiful West Bank location in Nubian Aswan. It was peaceful and far from cruise port crowds and noise. The homemade food was excellent and authentic. The hotel provided a boat for easily getting into town.
No room cleaning during our visit, only a couple of packets of some purple gel for toiletries left in the shower, and the TV had only 5 working channels out of 700. The main issue was communication around costs. Note that the hotel is cash-only at checkout and there is no atm nearby.

Great location, far away from the noisy city centre but also right in the middle of a natural, family-friendly neighbourhood, among the fields and the animals! In 10 minutes (and for free!), the hotel staff will drop you off on the East bank, where you can get a taxi.
Also, the room exceeded our expectations: not huge, but classy, with a beautiful bathroom and a balcony! Best value we encountered during our 1-month trip in Egypt!
This place is good for birdspotting!

Very peaceful location on the West Bank, with a large garden where you can relax, eat and look at the Nile and the birds, especially in the later afternoon and early morning. Room and bathroom are large, simple but comfortable, with all you need for a few nights. The selection of dishes for dinner is limited but the food is very good and absolutely inexpensive. We ate there three nights out of three and never felt the need to go somewhere else! The staff is super kind and make you feel really at home without being intrusive in any way.
Being in a village, it is impossible not to be woken up by the call to prayer at around 4am, but one gets used to it while travelling in Egypt
