A beautifully cared-for place where the two hosts have clearly put their heart and soul into every detail, from the gorgeous rooms and new bathrooms to the local, sustainable teas and coffees. Breakfast was exceptional, more like a thoughtfully curated dining experience than breakfast, with nutritious food, garden-grown and foraged ingredients, and a real commitment to sustainability throughout the stay. The introduction to Rye and recommendations on arrival were also genuinely useful and informative.
The arrival process could be a little more flexible: the introduction takes around 30 minutes and it would be nicer to be asked if you have the time/want to hear it before starting, while having our pre-arranged arrival time changed on the day added some unnecessary complexity. Parking is paid and a few minutes' walk away, the road directly outside (with your bags) may make access more challenging for guests with mobility issues.

Everything. All the personal touches. The home made and home grown goods and food. Breakfast was sensational and thought through. The rooms were decorated well and to good taste. The hosts were accommodating and helpful with recommendations and personalising our stay. The location was ideal.
Nothing- everything was great

What an amazing stay! Jeremy and Tomas are simply wonderful hosts, and the Aviemore is comfortable and beautifully decorated, with a wonderful and peaceful garden. It is worth coming for breakfast alone, where a wide variety of home made breads, jams and other options are complemented by a delicious a la carte menu that includes Czech dishes and other options inspired by the host's travels, all enjoyed in a private breakfast room. Thoughtfulness and care sits at the heart of everything at Aviemore, and I would strongly recommend it for your stay in Rye.
Nothing - I can't wait to return. The guest house is an older building, and so may not be the best choice for travellers with reduced mobility.

Proximity to town centre
It was a bit dark with no dressing table or desk . Would prefer a wardrobe rather than hanging clothes around the room
