It’s filled with small bungalows and boutique hotels that are just steps from the beach, Stearns Wharf, State Street, and the Harbor. The Brewhouse Restaurant, Neighborhood Bar, and Amtrak station are all close by making the walkability that much better. The tri-level home embraces its Spanish architecture with modern comforts. The ground floor offers the first Primary Suite with a private enclosed patio and extremely large spa-inspired bathroom. The second level includes a cozy Living Room, open Kitchen, Guest Room, and Guest Bath. The third level focuses on the view with the second Primary Suite offering a private rooftop balcony. We loved the location and walked each day to the beach, the Funk Zone, State Street, and the Wharf. It was an easy walk to the bike shop to rent e-bikes and cruise up to the Mission and over to Montecito. The house was comfortable and well kept, and the upper patios were perfect for a morning coffee or evening glass of wine!

We were in Santa Barbara for our son's wedding, and this house was perfect for our needs. It was large enough to accommodate our family comfortably, and it had everything we needed. The home is beautiful inside and out. The location was excellent. We were able to walk to the beach and great restaurants. We did have some maintenance issues during our stay, but we followed the instructions in the book and they were taken care of quickly. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We loved the location of this property. It’s walking distance to great shops, coffee, and restaurants. The neighborhood is quiet and everyone was friendly. It was perfect for 6 adults but would’ve been lovely with our kids too! Every room was spacious with plenty of room to unpack. The balconies were so great to take in the weather and the views. I cannot recommend this house enough. We will definitely stay here when we come back with our kids.

The property was beautiful in an excellent location to State Street and beach. It is fully stocked and very clean. The only comment is the kitchen drawers are hard to close and some of the furnishings need to be updated.

We enjoyed the property and its proximity to the Warf and downtown as well. I highly recommend this property as long as you are ok with stairs, as there is a bedroom on each of the 3 floors.

Fantastic location in Santa Barbara to walk to the beach, shops, restaurants, Funk Zone. Comfortable, spacious, great kitchen and living space for dinners and gatherings. Beds were very comfortable and it was very quiet at night. A fantastic stay.

We had a lovely stay at this VRBO. We have 2 young children and this place was perfect. The location was amazing, walking distance to pretty much everything, including the beach (and added bonus there were beach toys in the garage). The decks/patios were all nice, with seating. In the morning we watched the mist come off the mountains. Overall it was a great place!

Very nice place in a great part of town. Some minor maintenance issues like water softener not active and some kitchen drawers that have trouble staying shut but nothing that would keep us away a second time!

Fabulous architecture, great living room / kitchen / dining area for extended family (more than a dozen) meals, excellent privacy for three couples (nice bedroom / bath on all 3 levels). The two decks on 3rd level much appreciated. The whole family loved this place. We'll be back!

The house was just perfect. Everything sparkly clean and comfortable, with space in the garage for our car. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the ambience all around was warm and inviting. There are several sets of stairs to note. The owners were helpful and everything very straightforward and easy. The location is also a great one—we felt close to the beach, the downtown, the highway, and were in easy walking distance of a lot. We can’t wait to rent this property again!

We stayed with our family for our sons UCSB graduation. It was centrally located to the beach and everything downtown. The property had all amenities including beach towels and toys. Location was quiet and the balconies were wonderful for morning corer or evening wine. I highly recommend.

Beautiful property and perfect spot for our family trip. The three bedrooms and three baths were great for our adult children. Everything was clean and the kitchen well stocked. We also loved that we could walk to restaurants, shopping and to Sterns Wharf.

We stayed at Harbor Retreat NOT West Beach and our dates were 5/27/22-5/30/22 NOT 5/26/22-5/30/22. We loved the property however several of the windows were missing the cranks and were inoperable, including the 2nd floor bedroom window which was stuck open and could not be closed or locked. The door from the garage to the house was unlocked when we arrived.

The property has good bones, but needs little things like a paint job and fixing/maintaining of the dishwasher. Furniture is a little meager and the TV is in a strange place and the instructions are futile. Fan upstairs was tricky. We were comfortable, but not luxuriating.

Three of stayed here for two solid weeks for work. And we all know what work trips, especially long ones, are like so coming back to this beautiful place in an ideal location made it fabulous. Plenty of space for privacy. Beyond walkable. Definitely staying here again.

Great place in a great location

Loved the location of this very nicely furnished and maintained home. Our teen boys took independent excursions to nearby State Street for shopping and lunching. We also drove to the nearby beach for surf and sports afternoons. We were looking for family bonding time and got it in spades here. Thank you for the memories!
