Runaway Bay is a lovely Bradenton beach - anna maria vacation rental premied place and beautiful grounds between the Gulf of Mexico and Sarasota Bay. Our particular Anna Maria Island vacation rental condo was recently totally renovated with new tile floors, new kitchen and baths, in current beach chic. New lcd tv smart tv in all bedroom, wireless internet HI SPEED INCLUSIVE IN THE UNIT WITHOUT EXTRA FEES, BBQ, The bay offers views of boaters, dolphin and numerous tropical birds. We are conveniently located almost halfway between Sarasota and St. Petersburg (roughly 20 minutes to each). The island of Anna Maria fl is unique in having no high-rise buildings and offering an old Florida feel. Yet, you can enjoy some of the areas best restaurants and tropical bars within walking distance of the Anna Maria Island fl vacation rental. runaway bay has the largest shared pool in the area which has just been refurbished with new flooring and lighting. FEATURES & AMENITIES: Our Anna Maria Island vacation rental condo offers a spacious 2 bedroom, 2 bath floor plan. The bedroom furniture with the mattresses has been recently updated and appreciated by guests There is a king bed in the master bedroom and 2 twins in the other, and now one new queen size sofa bed in the living room can accomodate up 2 guest. Fully furnished in an appealing beach theme, you will have everything you need for a most enjoyable stay. We have cable TV (Flat screen TV in each bedroom and one big in living room) and CD player/AM,FM radio, wifi router and cable internet, washer/dryer and BBQ in the unit and a lovely lanai on the bay. ACTIVITIES AND ATTRACTION: Runaway Bay is just across the street from a beautiful, sandy beach. The heated pool is the largest on the island with an island feel from the striped umbrellas and chairs. Lighted tennis court, private fishing dock and exercise room. Walk or take the trolley, which stops right in front of Runaway Bay, to the island's many restaurants. Sarasota, St. Petersburg and Tampa are only short drives away. We have compiled a list, which we will gladly furnish for you, of our favorite restaurants, watering holes, beaches and things to see and do in the area. !!!! IMPORTANT FOR CANCELLATION OF CLIMATE OR SIMILAR REASONS !!!! Please i highly recommend to evaluate a trip cancellation insurance for any reason and event. All natural events such as hurricanes, rain, red tide and any other natural event can not be considered the fault of the condo owner. The cancellation insurance costs very little compared to the holiday and can grant a full refund in case of need and give you peace of mind. It will never be possible to accurately predict all events and it is not correct that a homeowner should reimburse the entire holiday to guests who decide to cancel their stay for various reasons. !! The condo was nice and there were plenty of beach towels and beach gear for the kids. We really enjoyed watching the wildlife out the patio door looking over the inland waters. The weather isn't always fabulous for beach days this time of year so it was nice to have pool to fall back on for an activity for the kids. My only criticism is that the kitchen was not very well stocked for cooking for a larger group of people and I was disappointed in the lack of pantry staples. There were literally none so that was an added expense to our trip that we weren't planning on. The same goes for laundry soap, dishwasher soap, bathroom supplies, etc. I have stayed in other places that were very well stocked so this was disappointing. Otherwise, our stay was comfortable and as expected. (Also note, there is no "hot tub," simply a bathtub.)

Our stay exceeded our expectations. We had a wonderful experience, from the owner's hospitality to the ease of check-in to the cleanliness that was evident the moment we entered. We chose this unit for the view of the Bay, the close proximity to the white sandy beach and the amenities, especially the pool. We were not disappointed! The unit is updated with modern appliances, accommodations and comfortable beds. The pull-out couch was equally comfortable. The AC works great and kept us plenty cool. Another thing that we noticed was that when the trash was collected in the complex, we didn't hear any noise. And the lawn maintenance was not an interruption. We especially appreciated the way the owner provided great information and communication leading up to our stay. He has thought of the small details like extra hooks for towels/clothes on the bathroom door and inside the foyer. The utility room off the patio has everything you need. We used the sun-shield tent every day on the beach and the beach cart was an added bonus! Finally, the view of the bay was inspirational, with gorgeous sunrises and placid waters in the evenings. We got to see egrets, blue heron and other wildlife right from our patio. We also spotted dolphins and manatee. We are grateful for such a home away from home!

The property was lovely, great location with the back patio facing the bay side, which allowed us views of the amazing sunrises, manatees, dolphins, herons and other birds, racer snakes, boats. We were also really lucky with the weather, sunshine and clear skies every day.
The property is well maintained and stocked with everything we needed including a moka coffee pot, which we used daily for our espressos! Everything worked well and was kitchen had all modern white goods. We felt very comfortable straight away.
We did have an issue with one door (not urgent at all), but Pierluigi and Wagner Realty were amazing and sorted it out within 15 minutes. I was very impressed!
Facilities on site were also good, we used the pool numerous times and everything outside was well maintained. Nearly every day there were gardeners and such tidying borders, cutting grass, trimming trees etc.
Although the condo is on the back of the complex, it's only a 4 minute walk to the beach, so we also enjoyed many sunsets, so we really had the best of both worlds.
We'd definitely stay here again (this was our 5th visit to Runaway Bay).

Lovely time at Runaway Bay
This was our third visit to Runaway Bay and these accommodations were the best. This unit has a tremendous bay view, just spectacular. And it comes with friendly shore birds. We had not seen a yellow crowned night heron before.
Everything we needed was there. Everything was comfortable. We appreciated being invited to participate in some of the owner convention activities.
There was a problem that arose with an appliance about a week into our two week stay. That, of course, is never what the customer wants to have happen. And it could have been a terrible experience because of that. But the owner and property management company (Wagner Realty) were both super responsive and active in making arrangements for the situation. I was so grateful for their concern, problem solving and accommodation for the problem. This experience certainly makes me more trusting of this particular owner and Wagner Realty (special kudos to Cindy).
We look forward to our next visit.

This was our first visit to AMI and it did not disappoint. The location of the condo is perfect! Very private and quiet. The king size bed is very nice! The view from the back of the condo is beautiful.
The ice maker really needs fixed! We are a family of 5 who packs food/drinks every day for the beach. We really rely on ice at our rental. Two ice trays don’t cut it!
While the pool is very well maintained, the closing at 8:00 is a bit much. The older gentleman that come to the pool area at 7:15 are a bit much. They constantly watched everything going on. It was very uncomfortable & made you feel like you were doing something wrong when you weren’t. They started putting down umbrellas and chairs around 7:30. And they told anyone who walked in the pool area after 7:00 that the pool closed in 1 hour— making it seem like you shouldn’t even bother getting in. When you pay this amount of money to stay somewhere we should be able to swim right up until 8:00 even if we arrive in the pool area at 7:50!! We saw MANY pools open on the island after 8:00. Having kids on vacation makes it difficult when they are done with the ocean but the pool closes way before dark.
The white doors and trim in the condo could definitely use some fresh paint. The 2 ceiling fans need dusted desperately! The air return door where the furnace is has a very thick layer of dust on it & around it.
Fishing at the resort was disappointing, however there is a pier up the road you can fish off for free.
Be prepared to bring extra garbage bags and toilet paper!
We were able to cook at the condo. Everything we needed for cooking was supplied.
Owner was very nice and easy to deal with as was Wagner Reality.

Great condo!
Condo is updated and is beautiful. Everything you need for the beach is included in the outside closet. One thing negative about runaway bay now is the pool closes at 8:00 pm which means no one can enjoy a night time swim.

Bathrooms could have been cleaner, ice maker on refrig has issues, made ice but would not release it in the dispenser, bathrooms had only two partial rolls of toilet paper, and sink in master bath had what looked like mold stains on the caulk?

Great Condo/ Great Location
We loved this condo. The view of the bay from the living room sliding glass door was so peaceful and beautiful. Sunrises were AMAZING. We had a manatee hang out right outside the condo for an entire day... spotted dolphins, boats, pelicans, and birds galore! I'd definitely recommend this particular unit to others. Nice bedroom furniture, nice (bigger) kitchen table. The ONLY thing I did not like is the master bath shower. It is one piece of glass and the shower remains open (no sliding door to close). Water escaped out onto the bathroom floor with every shower but a towel fixed the issue.

Perfect Getaway!

Perfect Island Vacation
We loved this unit! It was perfect for our family. Beautiful views of the water and boats in the morning from the master bedroom and living/dining/kitchen areas. It was equipped with everything you could need. The unit is spacious and nicely decorated. The beach is right across the street. We walked or took the trolley to all the shops and restaurants. Grocery was a 5 minute drive. Perfect location and unit! We will definitely be back!!

Runaway Bay is a great place to be. Walking distance to the beach, to the bay, to the free trolley stop and to restaurants. On site pool, tennis courts and plenty of walking opportunities. Unit 192 is on the bay side. Views of boats, birds and water!! The unit is furnished with everything I needed. Clean and attractive. Newer appliances. Bathrooms are updated- master has a walk-in shower. I didn't want to leave. But I'll be back!!

Everything was perfect
We stayed about 10 days in this wonderful condo with all the necessary amenities. At the arrival everything loooked clean and tidy. There is an amazing view from the living room and from the owner bedroom of the bay. The house is right next to the water. The owner was very kind: we hard a problem with the sink-grinder and he promptly installed a new one. Even if, in that period, all the area was suffering due to the red tide, we were able to pull it off nicely thanks to the pool, the tennis and the shuffle court. Anna Maria Island is such an amazing place to be. We’ll be back for sure!

A peaceful , beautiful + relaxing 'home away from home' :-)
Thank you for a 'memorable' wonderful vacation home to stay in. The view was amazing and enjoyed the peace + quiet . Clean and comfortable environment with wonderful amenities. We BOTH Loved the bay ambiance + easy access to fishing! The Maintenance could have been better with certain items not attended to; kitchen door handle broken, a few other items, and the ceiling fans SHOULD have been clean ( I did them myself) :-) especially the fans over the beds/
Our neighbors were very nice and considerate. The sheets for the KING size mattress kept coming off (not deep pockets) + mattress was comfortable, but a bit stained when I changed out the sheets. Bathrooms were STUNNING! Loved the washer + dryer in the condo!! Overall a Beautiful condo to stay in with really nice decor ! Will stay there again next year :-)
