Great location, the host is very nice and communicates well from pre-stay to check out. Location is very close to the Muni at West Portal and restaurants and stores. The neighborhood is cozy and the people very friendly. The property is cozy and has all the amenities you would need. I would stay here again.

We found the rental to be in a great location as we were able to walk down to West Portal Ave every day for some shopping and great restaurants. Communication with our hosts was very easy. Selim and Lynda are lovely people and were very attentive to our needs. We found the entrance to our unit to be very challenging since to reach our entrance we had to go down very steep narrow steps. The apartment is as described in the listing and we felt very safe in that neighborhood. If you have a car there is usually street parking available.

Lynda and Selim were incredibly accommodating! The apartment was cute & more than enough space for just me. You also cannot beat the location- 3 minute walk down to the muni station will get you downtown in no time. Great stay overall!

This is a great home setting when staying in the city for work. I had most of what I needed to stay and work. Only thing that would have been helpful is an ironing board and more convenient outlets. Would stay again especially if more than a couple days.

Quiet, close to transit, comfortable, and creatively decorated.

This was a lovely little appointment with fantastic access to the city via the West Portal station. Also the West Portal neighborhood and small shopping district was a treat. A wonderful option when visiting San Francisco.

The hosts are so hospitable and available and the location is so stellar and convenient and lovely. It works so well for me because it's near my family's home but I recommend this space highly. It feels like your own house. There's so much space and the hosts have supplied the space with so much to entertain you and inform. It's such an wonderfully interesting place, as well, with so much color and interesting collectibles and artwork.

I stayed here for a month while I was between apartments and while it's small and not my typical taste in decor, by the end of my visit, I loved it and was sad to leave. It has such a unique vibe and even though it's small, it's nice that it has a separate bedroom and even stairs up to the kitchen and bathroom so it feels larger than it is and I miss having separate spaces like that now that I'm in a big open plan studio apartment. Also the couch was super comfy and it even has a real desk and desk chair that I used for working from home (good Wifi speed too!). The host was very responsive to any issues I had and was kind enough to let me park in the driveway and use the laundry twice during my stay, both of which are conveniences that are hard to find in SF, so I found that a huge benefit to this place! Also, the proximity to the West Portal MUNI station and all the great shops and restaurants can't be beat (5 min walk). There's a Safeway about a 7 min drive away but it's walking distance to the West Portal Produce Market which has a wide selection of fruits and vegetables as well as canned goods and even eggs and some yogurts and milk. There are also many lovely neighborhoods to stroll through nearby and you can even walk up to Mount Davidson! (but I recommend doing that on one of the few non-foggy days so that you can see the gorgeous view. West Portal is a much foggier neighborhood, by the way, than the East half of SF) I would say the only slight negatives are that, as others have mentioned the bed is very small and also a bit old and saggy, so while it was fine for me by myself, not sure it would be comfortable for two people. Also, there is very limited counter or cabinet space in the kitchen so it was difficult to cook anything other than meals with only a few ingredients. The thing that I think could be the biggest issue for some is that the gate and pathway down on the side of the main house to get to the rental unit is extremely narrow and with intermittent and uneven steps. I'm a skinny 5' 3" woman and it was no wider than my shoulders. While I managed, it did make loading luggage in and out or even carrying bags of groceries a bit tricky since you had to carry stuff in front or back of you or walk sideways but then it was hard to see where the stairs were. In any case, for people with mobility issues or even with large luggage, you might want to try some place else. For everyone else, it's not ideal but definitely manageable.

This rental was such a treat! So many things to look at and entertain yourself with inside, you would never have to leave. Did not rent a car and were so close to the Muni going in all directions that we could go anywhere in a reasonable amount of time. Had never explored West Portal before and now I’m happy I’ve had the chance. Will definitely stay here again. Hosts were amazing and so helpful. Quick to respond to questions. You will not be disappointed if you stay here.

This was second time I stayed at the property and it really felt like coming home. It's right near my daughter's home in West Portal so it works so well. When Muni is running its quite ideal. Since I'm visiting people who know the area very well they take me around so muni isn't so key. The neighborhood is wonderful because there's a restaurant and shopping strip that has so much of what one needs and there's a major and terrific Mall in walking distance as well. The property itself is so great-looking and the hosts provide a lot of conveniences.

My nephew and family enjoyed their stay in your very colorful and charming apartment. We all loved the vintage decor. They appreciated your accommodation of special requests and the check in process was so easy. Of course, being near West Portal in regular times would have been a real bonus. Walking in the neighborhood was safe and pleasant too. Thanks for a fun stay.

The most adorable and cozy stay for the best price! Me and my partner had the best time here and the living area was large enough to host their COVID-safety pod. Would love to stay again should the opportunity present itself!! The owners were very communicative and friendly as well!

Aside from the fact that this location is so excellent because of the proximity of shopping and easy transportation, the owner created such a lovely environment with wonderful and colorful decor, beautiful dishes and useful food staples, along with a fantastic library and many games for in house leisure time. There are steps in the apartment so anyone who can't handle that should keep it in mind. Otherwise, I highly recommend this accommodation.

What a spectacular place! So much charm and unique characteristic! The split levels adds a feel of nice space! The bed was comfortable and everything we needed was provided. Street parking was easy and available! So many fun things within walking distance! We would definitely stay here again! It was great to be back in the Bay!
