Located in Ocean Beach, this attractive condo for $293 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. College students and traveling nurses please contact host for monthly discount due to covid 19. Clean and isolated, 1 block from beach! If this listing doesn't not have the dates you need please check our 3 other units on the same property: 1191673(2101), 1128383(2107), 1164744 (2103) are the other units in the same building. AMENITIES: Totally remodeled including new furnishings, linens, towels and appliances. Full size appliances in Kitchen with spices, olive oil and cooking utensils for family cooking. Bathroom has towels, makeup remover, hair dryer and straightener and basic toiletries for your needs. Hand Held Massager, Toys, Games and Magazines are also provided inside the unit. We also provide yoga mats, boogie boards, beach umbrella, beach mat and beach towels for use. Beach chairs and cooler upon request prior to check-in. WiFi and cable access with Google Mini too! Gas BBQ grill and outdoor furniture are available in our common courtyard space! LOCATION: This apartment is on the second floor with about 15 flight of steps to get to it. One block from Ocean Beach with bicycle rental, shower facility and lifeguard. Scooter rental and parking available right outside the apartment on the street. Walking distance to the famous OB pier (the longest concrete pier on the West Coast) and the main restaurants of Ocean Beach – Newport Avenue. On Newport, there are many restaurants, antique stores, coffee house s, bars, bike and surf shops. On Wednesday evenings (4pm to 8pm)Newport Avenue features a Farmer’s Market where you can find local fruits, vegetables and flowers, street performances and food vendors. Ocean Beach is conveniently located within 15 minutes of major attractions including the World Famous San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park, Museums, Old Town, Sea World, Kayaking, Petco Park, Qualcomm Stadium, La Jolla Cove, hiking, surfing, golfing, boating and miles of sandy beaches. PETS: We supply pet bed, toy, dogie bag and food bowls and charge an extra $50 non-refundable per pet fee per stay. Maximum 2 small pets. Please notify owner of any pets during your trip! PLEASE NOTE: Convenience store to get bottled water and simple breakfast one block from property! We have a lot of returned guests. The property is owned and managed by the owner as well as 2 managers who live 10 mins away to service the guests. Property is meticulously maintained and cleaned every reservation.

We were visiting our son in college for Parent Weekend. The house was in a perfect location to restaurants, beach, and his school. We enjoyed using the boogie boards, which were in great shape. The kitchen was well stocked. It's an older house, but it would be helpful to have more lighting. And lastly, we had returned from the beach and were putting things away and drying our towels when the owner sent me text about what we were doing. I know there are cameras, but it felt intrusive to have someone watch you and comment on your actions. Other than that, it was a pleasant stay.

My family of 4, including 2 teenagers had a great stay at Meiluen’s apartment. Her communication was excellent! It’s 1 block from Ocean Beach and we walked everywhere. We brought our 2 little dogs as well and they enjoyed Dog Beach right next to OB and walking around town with us. The Farmer’s Market on Wednesday night was a lot of fun! The apartment was spotless and very nicely decorated. The a/c was nice in the living room and kitchen but the bedrooms did get a little warm in the afternoon. I would most definitely stay again if ever in the area and highly recommend!

This unit is a gem! It was close to the beach, no driving necessary! Close to restaurants, a great grocery store(Krisp), cute shops- you name it!
Unit was a 2 bed, 1 bath. Super clean. Kitchen was perfect for making any meal for any time of the day. Cooking supplies were in great condition, too.

The communication from the property owner was second to none. She checked in frequently and had recommendations on places to go and things to do. The apartment was perfect for four. Fully functioning kitchen with plenty of utensils and cookware. 2 minute walk to dog beach and 10 from restaurants and shops in either direction. 10/10 would recommend. We’ll be back!

After the first night we were able to get heat, we could enjoy a very clean, well-supplied, pleasant space, and location near the beach as advertised. However, upon arrival we had Problems: we experienced a cold uncomfortable arrival and suffered cold temperatures through the first night - this was avoidable & should not happen. The poor first night experience started with searching for the light switches inside once we got in. The wall switches on the wall inside the door did not work, we had to find the light switches in the kitchen to turn on lights. The heat was not on in advance of our mid-February arrival so we entered a 55 degree unit. The LR wall heater wasn't sufficient to heat the BRs, the additional plug-in heater supplied by owner blew the circuit for both bedrooms. After we reset the circuit, which was outside downstairs & not lit, the inside bedroom lights came on, but the LR wall heater did not reset to heat through the night. Heating circuitry problems caused the lodging to be too cold & uncomfortable through all night. Next day, the owner sent the electrician; he explained the LR wall heat was on the same circuit as the 2 bedrooms. He advised us to use the plug-in heaters (one in the BR & one in the LR) & not use the LR wall heater to get a reasonably comfortable temperature. Finally, this method supplied adequate heating.
We should have had instructions before the circuit blew out on how to get adequate heat to the bedrooms and the living room, and to not use a plug-in heater in the bedroom when the wall heater unit in the LR is on. If we had this information, we would have had adequate heat that first night and it would have been a much better experience.
Not sure we’ll go there again.

The apartment is very comfortable with updated furnishings, lots of towels, pillows, supplies. Nice location a few blocks from the beach and from OB’s restaurants and bars. The only concern was the bedrooms can get hot on a warm day and although the living room area is well air conditioned, the bedrooms stay warm into the evening. (Floor fans are provided). The owner is in touch from booking to arrival and during the stay.

Communication with host was spectacular. Location was clean and layout well thought out. Our family of 5 was 2 adults and 3 teens. There was plenty of room for all of us to stay comfortably. The host had little gestures that made our trip so much better like boogie boards, beach chairs, even after sun lotion. I would recommend this host to all my friends and family A++

Great location, loved the area and the people. The host was rude. There are no lights other than the kitchen area. One lamp with a very dim bulb in each room. Day one we had issues with a clogged kitchen sink drain. when we told her the kitchen sink was plugged and that the ac just had the fan running and was not cooling the place down. We had a plumber in the unit for 2.5 hours as he ended up cleaning the entire building main drain. He told us that it was such an old building and old plumbing that it needed done every few months. The host Still continued to blame us for the clogged drain issues. She then told us there was not enough power to the building to run the AC unit so to just use the fans provided and put them in the windows at night to help cool the unit down. Then on closer inspection the entire inside of the wall AC unit was covered in mold. Over all we will come back to this area but look at a different host. This host should have the entire 4 plex professionally cleaned and certified mold free before anyone else rents from her.

Soft Beds, near the beach.
We enjoyed our stay in Ocean Beach. It was nice to have comfortable beds and a full kitchen to cook breakfast every morning. The only drawbacks, the ac didn't cool very well and we didn't feel comfortable leaving windows open while we were away. Also, my son has dog allergies, which I should've found a dog free rental. We got him some allergy meds and didn't have him sleeping on the couch. That drawback is on me. The owner did help accommodate us as our flight got changed. So, all and all a good vacation.

We didn't need the car to shop, eat, grab coffee, or get to the beach. The beach is literally steps away from the apartment, and coffee and restaurants abide all around. Also, very close to Sea World (which was a destination for us). The owner was extremely friendly and responsive, and made sure we were happy with our experience throughout our stay. Definitely recommend.

Family stay at Ocean Beach
Property's was well decorated and furnished. Condition was immaculate. Parking will be a problem as it is street parking only. I was surprised at the large homeless population which may be seasonal? The homeless were predominantly at the beach front so I was content with this location being a block away from this problem. Overall this is a very nice property.

There were some things we encountered not obvious from the listing. This unit is an UPSTAIRS apartment, so there are 16 stairs up to the front door which are not lit at night.
Listed as a dog-friendly unit, but the owner texted prior to our arrival to say there was an additional $50 dog fee not included in cleaning fee, service fee, or host fee and asked me to pay her directly through Venmo.
There is no direct access to the patio. Although the patio is shared between the two apartments, only the downstairs people have direct access. Renters of the upstairs unit can only enter it through a locked entrance off the sidewalk. We never used it — not appealing.
Would recommend arriving in the day. The only parking is on the street and it fills up at night. Plan to spend several minutes driving around looking for a spot. The light switch inside the front door has had its switches removed and the light switches in the bedrooms aren’t hooked up to anything. Be prepared to walk through dark rooms to turn on lamps directly.
The owner was very responsive to the multiple issues we encountered and got them fixed in a timely manner, but she sent too many text messages. Some were helpful — “your VRBO rental is ready for check-in”, but some were not — “have you checked in yet?” She texted 6 paragraphs of rules before we arrived and then texted another rule immediately after apologizing for our difficult check-in experience (we arrived in the dark to find the stair access blocked by a “wet paint” sign).
Midway through our stay, the painter came back to finish painting the steps (the only access to the place). Since it was not possible to squeeze up the slender non-painted side of the stairs while carrying our 45-lb dog, we asked the painter to postpone his work. It felt inconsiderate to schedule routine maintenance during our stay without prior notice.

Amazing find!!
This property was perfect! The location was amazing. Seriously a block from the beach. The place itself was great as well. Everything we needed for amenities. The only downside, and not really more than slightly irritating is the street side parking. We had to park a bit away but like I said, nothing too bad. Street noise wasn’t an issue either, I was concerned being on the corner unit. The owner was fabulous, very communicative and helpful throughout offering location tips to make our stay better. Great place over all.

Great place close to the beach!
This was a great last-minute place for me, my boyfriend, and our pup. The layout is really nice and spacious with nice little touches, the bed is super comfortable, and the location is perfect right next to the beach. I was worried it would be really hot, but we were totally fine with the AC and fan and even got too chilly. The host is very communicative along every step of the way. One thing to note is there is only street parking, and we did have trouble at times finding a spot close to the apartment, but it was pretty manageable and would still definitely recommend this place. We had a lovely stay!
