About this apartment rental

Hidden Valley 21 is a spacious, comfortable studio tucked among the tall pines and just a short walk from The Village and Village Gondola. Privately owned and managed, the condo is well maintained and set up to provide a clean, cozy place to stay at a reasonable price.

The condo faces southeast, bringing in morning sun while the surrounding pines provide welcome shade later in the day. From the front entry area, you'll catch views toward the Mammoth Crest and a glimpse of the Sherwins—a nice reminder of why you came to Mammoth in the first place.

Inside, the studio has a surprisingly spacious and open layout with plenty of room to relax. There is a queen bed along with a queen sleeper sofa, allowing the condo to accommodate up to four guests. After a day on the mountain, settle in by the wood-burning fireplace with complimentary firewood during the winter, relax on the sofa, and enjoy the large 55" LG Smart TV with your own streaming accounts.

The recently remodeled kitchen is now open to the living area and features new cabinetry, stone countertops, updated lighting and new appliances. It's fully stocked with the basics you'll need to prepare meals, whether you're making a quick breakfast before heading out or staying in for dinner after a long day of skiing, hiking or exploring Mammoth.

The condo includes a full bathroom with a tub/shower combination, free high-speed Wi-Fi, linens and towels, hanging and drawer storage, and convenient parking directly in front of the building. Although the condo is located on the first floor, it is not wheelchair accessible, as several stairs and landings must be navigated to reach the unit.

Hidden Valley also offers two Jacuzzis, two saunas, onsite laundry facilities and a seasonal swimming pool. But one of the biggest advantages of HV21 is the location. The Village, Village Gondola, restaurants, shopping, the Westin and Limelight are all about a five-minute walk away. The free town shuttle makes it easy to reach Vons, downtown and other areas of Mammoth without having to drive. Once you're settled in and stocked with groceries, you may find very little reason to get back in the car.

HV21 isn't trying to be an over-the-top luxury condo. It's a comfortable, roomy and well-kept Mammoth studio in an excellent location, with a remodeled kitchen, real wood-burning fireplace and the conveniences you need for an easy mountain getaway.

Please note: No smoking and no pets. No Saturday check-ins or check-outs. The condo does not have air conditioning.

This place was absolutely perfect for a week of snowboarding at Mammoth Mountain! Clean, comfortable, a five minute walk to the village gondola that drops at Canyon Lodge (still open as of 4/10/26, lol) and to all the village shops and restaurants. We had everything we needed in the unit as far as kitchen basics and linens and used the community hot tub every afternoon (open 2-10). 100% we would stay here again.

Michael was very welcoming and responsive. The kitchen was well equipped and the bed very comfortable. A perfect studio.

We will definitely book this condo again in the future. Love the cleanliness, cozy vibe, and proximity to the village. The host gave us clear and easy instructions to check in and out.

We arrived at the end of October and hit the lottery on weather – the first day it rained three inches, the second day we got one foot of snow (three feet on the mountain). Therefore we enjoyed quite a bit of time in the condo, enjoying the magic of the weather (we’re weather-starved in coastal, central California, so this was a perfect vacation). A few days before our stay, the owner Michael contacted us regarding the pending storm forecast, and advised on driving routes, timing & whether chains would be required. He offered to rent us the condo a day early (we took him up on that) so that we could be settled before the storm started. I really appreciated his care, flexibility & generosity. We’ve been coming to Mammoth Lakes for about 10 years and Hidden Valley is one of my favorite condos complexes – this condo has a panoramic view of beautiful pine trees and the snow-covered ridge top, very little traffic, a peaceful, secluded balcony & front porch area, plenty of windows & natural light – I’m a natural light freak & (in my experience) many Mammoth condos are long and narrow, without enough natural light. The driveway into the condo complex is quickly plowed in case of snow, as are the Mammoth roads. Even though it is plowed promptly, you would most likely need chains to get in and out of the complex during a heavy snowstorm.Although our favorite hiking areas were closed due to snow (Reds Meadow, Rock Creek, the top of Lake Mary Road) toward the end of the week it was in the 60’s and we were able to do some closer-in hikes. The condo was stocked with firewood which we put a dent in for sure. The fireplace heats up the whole condo. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and cooking supplies. The Village is a short walk and there is a lift up to the ski area there. We had a wonderful stay!
