2021 Remodeled Victorian in Excellent Location, Close to Beach and Downtown
About this house rental
Nestled in Pacific Grove, this charming house for $559 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Excellent location. 2 minute walk downtown Pacific Grove, 4 minute walk Lovers Point and 2 minute walk child-friendly Caledonia Park. Relatively close to Monterey Bay Aquarium and Cannery Row. Downstairs unit of an 1887 Victorian *duplex*. Living room features a gas fireplace and comfy leather reading chairs. The unit has two bedrooms and comfortably sleeps four. There is also a sofabed in the living room that can sleep 1-2 people. Our City permit allows a maximum of five guests total. Master bedroom features a California king bed, master bathroom and closet. Junior bedroom has a queen-size bed, bathroom, and small closet. Junior bedroom is very small in size. As mentioned, there is a sofabed in the living room. The master bathroom has a walk in shower whereas the junior bathroom has a tub/shower. Kitchen has a new floor and is the only room in the house not recently remodeled (stove and fridge are new, however). Kitchen has basic cookware and coffee is provided for the coffee maker. There is also a blender and toaster. We remodeled the unit in 2021 and added soundproofing between the floors but it is an 1887 Victorian so it is not noiseless. Like all other houses in Pacific Grove, the unit does not have air conditioning. Our warmest month is September with a mean high of 73.6F. We do have a high-quality large fan in one of the closets if there is an unseasonably hot day. We use an electronic door lock so no check-in required. Other Amenities: Cable television, wireless internet or wifi, private backyard, shared laundry located in side yard between kitchen and garage. We subscribe to a large selection of cable television channels but do not have direct access to Netflix or Amazon Prime because the second remote caused confusion for some renters. Guests can connect their laptop to the television with an HDMI cable and stream any content from our wifi. We have spare HDMI cables in the cabinet; as backup, a hardware store is a few blocks away and also sells cables. We had an amazing time at Sandra’s home in PG. the house was so clean and cozy. Those who stayed on the pull out couch said it was comfortable, and the 2 other bedroom beds were comfy as well. We enjoyed the ease of the fireplace, the quick walk to lovers point beach, and utilized the kitchen to make a delicious breakfast. Thank you so much for our stay! We hope to return annually!

My mom and two daughters came to stay and visit the aquarium and Pacific Grove. The house was clean, cozy and the perfect set up for us. My daughters are 13 and 9, so the set up was really perfect. The location was perfect…close to restaurants, grocery stores and the aquarium. We had an issue with the front door lock and Sandra answered immediately. Would definitely stay here again and recommend this place!!

Excellent location. Quiet neighborhood near the coast and also walking distance to downtown and great restaurants. Comfortably remodeled and spacious accommodations. Host has provided all amenities. Would definitely recommend and will probably stay here again on our next trip to the area.

This was a great base for exploring Monterey, Carmel, and Big Sur. The house was quiet, clean, and had very comfortable beds. We slept like logs!

It's in a great location just a couple blocks from Lovers Point and downtown Pacific Grove. It's a very clean and beautifully remodeled downstairs unit. Checking in was seamless, and communication with the host was excellent.

This charming two-bedroom unit is within minutes of Lover's Point and about a seven-minute walk to downtown. It is perfect for two couples to get away or a small family. The kitchen was very well equipped, as were the bathrooms. Thoughtful touches throughout and would rent it again and recommend it to friends visiting the area.

This is one of the best rentals we have ever stayed in! Not only was the house well maintaned and well stocked, but the location was just wonderful! We were able to walk to so many great resturants and along the coastal path.

The house was absolutely beautiful! The location was perfect, it was close to everything. My family and I took an evening stroll to the park down the street and walked over to the beach to enjoy the scenery. Sandra was so responsive and sweet. This is a beautiful, immaculate property in a fantastic location. The decor was comfortable and beautiful. It had a very California coastal calm vibe. The apartment had everything we needed. The bathrooms must have been recently updated and are gorgeous. We walked to the beach every day and to fantastic restaurants in Pacific Grove. The neighborhood was quiet and I loved hearing the seagulls when we woke up in the morning. It was just what we hoped for, a relaxing beach getaway before school started.

We were lucky enough to find this property that was just steps away to some friends that live in the area. For our family of 4, the set-up and layout were great. The place had all of the amenities we could need and was very clean and organized. We're excited to have a go-to place the next time we come down to visit!
Beyond being close to friends, the location is super convenient to walk to Lover's Point and the main drag of PG with restaurants, shops, etc. (and the aquarium, of course)!

The duplex was walking distance to the beach and main walking trail. Very clean as if no one had been there. Thoughtful touches - wine and chocolate, lots of towels, puzzles and games and recommendations for attractions on the area.

The perfect location for a stay in Pacific Grove/Monterey. The house is clean and updated, but historic and gives you a real feeling of being "home." Perfect for walks to town or down to Lover's Point. Very nicely furnished, and host supplied snacks & wine, tea & coffee. Loved this place!
