About this house rental

Situated in Toronto, this attractive house for $265 per night is a great option for your next break. Built originally almost 100 years ago, we spent a year completely renovating and restoring the entire house inside and out (completed in 2013). Our home has 3 large bedrooms. The Master Bedroom has a King size bed with a walk in closet, a "Juliette Balcony" overlooking our garden and ensuite with large shower. The other 2 Bedrooms are very spacious for a home of this age with large windows and custom closets. The main bathroom is finished in marble with a rain shower head and deep soaker tub for a spa like atmosphere. The main floor has a living room with wood burning fireplace and a unique hidden TV behind the Cuban art above the fireplace (47" HD, LED TV with PVR and Netflix etc). Off of the living room is the main floor powder room. Possibly the best feature of the house would be the kitchen. It is large and very open with everything you could need if you like to cook, including a professional series Viking gas stove. Off the kitchen is a large eating area with a built in banquette and large barn board dining table that seats 10 people. Off the dining area and through garden doors, there is a 4 burner natural gas Weber BBQ on a large deck and reasonably large (for Toronto) backyard with play structure for young children. You may also enjoy spending time on our front porch in the evening with a glass of wine and a book! The basement has laundry that you are welcome to use. There is also central vac, central air conditioning and wireless internet (plus CAT5 outlets) throughout the house. There is plenty of street parking in front of the house if you have a car. We also have 2 adult bikes and one child's bike that you are welcome to use while visiting. If you are not familiar with Bloor West Village... it's a beautiful quiet neighborhood that was rated among the best neighborhoods in Toronto by Toronto Life Magazine. We are close to High Park, the Humber River, bike trails and the Subway/Public Transit (TTC). Rated on a scale where 100 is perfect, it scores exceptionally well on the international walk (87), transit (79), bike (75) index. Bloor West Village not only offers fine dining and shopping but provides all the basics including grocery, fresh fruit and vegetable market stands, drug stores, butchers, fish markets, spas, salons, Yoga studios, liquor/wine stores and much more. * Beresford Park with splash pad for young children (0.28kms) * Runnymede TTC Subway Stop (1.0 kms) * Etienne Brule Park and the Humber River Bike Trail (1.2kms) * The Junction Neighborhood (1.5 kms) * Old Mill Inn and Spa (2.3 kms) * High Park - huge 399 acre public park (1.9kms) * C.N.E. - Canadian National Exhibition (7.0 kms) * TFC Soccer (7.2 kms) * ROM - Royal Ontario Museum (7.8 kms) * AGO - Art Gallery of Ontario (8.6 kms) * Theatre District - Third largest in the World (9.4 kms) * Billy Bishop Airport - Porter (9.6 kms) * Toronto Blue Jays and Toronto Argonauts at the Rogers Centre (10.1 kms) * CN Tower (10.2 kms) * ACC - Toronto Maple Leafs (11.3 kms) * Ferry to Toronto Island (11.8 kms) * Toronto International Airport (17.5 kms) * Woodbine Racetrack and Casino (22.6 kms) * Niagara Falls and Casino (123 kms)

I can’t say enough good things about our stay. Wonderful owners who made us feel at home during a stressful move. Everything was clean and beautiful. Very close to family parks and Bloor st amenities. Highly recommend.

What a great home! Mark and Yordest were really wonderful hosts and we felt so welcome right away. The house is so delightfully appointed and all the comforts of home are right there. It was important to us that we have good places to gather to catch up with each other, and not only was there a comfortable living space, there is also an amazing kitchen table, and the outdoor deck was incredible. The neighborhood is really lovely too and felt hip and young. We walked to several stores nearby, all very accessible, and had everything we needed to make a great weekend. I have found myself wondering when I can get back to stay in this house again. Thank you so much for our lovely weekend with old friends. Your house is just absolutely perfect.

We stayed for about two months in June/July 2019. We are a family of five and we lay emphasize on feeling at home when travelling. Thanks to this house we were immediately able to feel like we would actually live in Toronto. Clean and cosy with a great neighborhood. Subway nearby -8min walk. We were sad to leave -- but life goes on....

Yordest and Mark were very easy to work with and helped make our stay very enjoyable! Everything we needed was there and if not, within easy walking distance. There was a power outage and they contacted us just to make certain we were ok. Would stay at their place again in a heartbeat.

Lovely house, 2-3 blocks north of Bloor, with lots of character, beautifully decorated and home from home feel. Nice deck to sit out and BBQ. Owners are very helpful, responsive to questions and relaxed about having visitors in their home. Easy access to downtown via TTC / uber. Good selection of shops and restaurants locally to allow for lazy days in the local neighbourhood. Recommend Mad Mexican restaurant, Coco for handmade chocolates and ice cream and local coffee shops in Jane/Annette area and on Annette/Quebec Avenue We were a family of 4 from UK, including two teenage kids. We'd definitely consider staying again, if the hosts would have us.

We had a family get together for a weekend. We were greeted at the house by the owners who were very welcoming and showed us around their home. Everything we needed was on hand and the home was very comfortable.

The house was exactly what we needed after a stressful house/city move and worked well as our base in the city before moving into our permanent house. The space was lovely and it was great having the outdoor space and kids swing set in the backyard.
