The bright exterior of our two-bedroom, two-bath Harper House cheerfully welcomes you to this unique vacation property. Located directly across from Warren Square on the first floor of a historic, two-story Victorian home, Harper House can comfortably accommodate up to six Lucky guests for a true “live like a local” Savannah experience. The understated elegance of the living area comes from the high ceilings, original, decorative hearth and tasteful furnishings. A wall-mounted, flat-screen TV and queen sleeper-sofa modernize the living space. Original pocket doors, a classic feature in Victorian homes, separates the living area from the Premium bedroom. The original hardwood floors extend into the Premium bedroom, where you’ll find another decorative hearth, mirrored armoire and a carved wooden headboard above the king-size bed. Spacious, warm and bright, the completely renovated, eat-in kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances and everything you’ll need to prepare meals at home. Just off the kitchen is the second bedroom, which has a queen bed and fully renovated, en suite bath with a large vanity. Harper house is in a good location close to most everything. For a house over 100 yrs old it is well maintained. Instructions to enter the property was easy to follow. The home was very clean and had no bugs as mentioned in previous reviews. The lack of water pressure when showering was a negative. Don’t flush the toilet when someone is showering because the water pressure gets worse. The king mattress and sofa mattress are uncomfortable. The queen bed was very comfortable.

Cozy, nice and exactly pictured. Parking was a plus. Front bedroom does pick up street noise as the day traffic picks up. Being across the street from Warren Square was a big plus, just stroll across street with coffee!

My husband and I rented the property very last minute.
The process is easy to use.
Lockbox and codes work properly.
Except the front door lockbox, to exit needs opened.
For safety reasons we wanted to test that exit and we were unsuccessful to open that box.
Other than that all was very nice.
The location is very good on the square.

We stayed at 34 Habersham in Savannah July 28-31. Love a traditional experience for lodging especially in a city like Savannah and the location was too perfect - especially too close to Leopold's Ice Cream!A suggestion - can you add to the one or both bathrooms bars on the wall for getting into and out of the tub. That's the only thing I really need for comfort.The staff was always quick to respond and offered solutions.Thanks and hope to see Savannah again soon.

This property is in an excellent location and is very charming. However it has issues. On Day 1, there was a faint sewage smell that got progressively worse. By Day 4 it was intolerable and was reported. At the same time, the property manager notified us that an exterminator was coming over for a "routine" spray. However, we were then told that there was a flea issue in Savannah. At the same time, they were trying to get a plumber to visit. That was cancelled because we were not allowed in the property for 2hrs due to the extermination. When the plumber finally came in, of course nothing was found. The property manager did visit and concurred that it was inhabitable. We were moved to a different house, worse location, no parking. When we went to pack our things, we found live fleas in our items and everything has to be laundered because of the smell. Supposedly we are supposed to get a refund. However it has been a week now, and we have received nothing. Would NOT recommend!

Hi we are home now from our stay at the Harper House, we did enjoy the home and would stay again but there was one issue, was this home pet friendly I guess I didn't notice when I booked it but whomever was there before us or the time before left dog poop down those back stairs, no need for us to go down there but the grands noticed it which this was no big deal but the big issue was flees. We were out and about so much didn't really notice until Saturday afternoon when I was sitting in one of those burgundy chairs I killed something on my leg thinking a small knat but then another one and when I got up this morning, I killed 3 more and seen one on the side of the king bed when we were getting ready to check out. The kids left Saturday, so I warned her to check the kids and luggage and she said she had seen something also but forgot to say anything. My husband stayed up late watching TV last night and he said this morning his ankles were bit up I told him I had seen some flees in that same area where he sat watching tv so I'm sure it is bites from flees. Anyway we love the, home great location and I hope you get that under control for the next guest. I would have sent earlier but we had truck issues on the way home so just getting around to it.Thanks, Brenda I left messages for the front desk but no replies yet.

Great location. Historic house. A list of small maintenance given to review in Airbnb. Lucky was responsive and wanted to correct, however, 9a to 5p is too large a window to be stuck at home especially in Savannah. Luck is very responsive and very clear with instructions. We would definitely use them again.

The location couldn’t have been better. We had a small dog with us so being so close to one of the squares with a park and lots of grass for her was perfect. We also enjoyed the space that the first floor apartment provided with two full bedrooms two full baths, a nice kitchen, and family room area.
Really the only negative is you have to enter from the back gate area it would’ve been nice to come through the front door, but we realize that that’s how the apartments are laid out in this home. We were close to everything right off of Broughton so walking distance to numerous shops and restaurants, also walking distance to the historic riverfront areas.

Charming place in a great location very clean- only concern is the lack of security lights outside by the door(gate) and the motion light on the outside door was not always working. Also the gate with the deadbolt was not very secured-anyone could push the deadbolt through the hole.

We stayed at the Harper house for one week while at an art workshop. The home is in a perfect location near shops and restaurants in the older section of Savannah. The home is old and has quite a bit of character. Don’t expect perfection. I hope I look as good when I get that old!

The place over all was cute. Could use a little updating and the location and parking is perfect. The one major complaint I have is the bed in the master room. Very uncomfortable. Could use a new mattress. I couldn’t get a good nights sleep on vacation and that’s hard. My friends slept in guest bed and said it was great. Like I said over all good, but that’s the one thing I would change. Also had issues with the code and had to call in a few times to get that fixed.

Door key pad did not work to 2 phone calls and multiple code try’s to open door ,Heard from neighbor n this is a constant problem at this unit. not happy to be standing outside in the heat with our luggage unable to get in .

This was an adorable house that’s super close to River Street but we noticed some maintenance/upkeep issues as soon as we checked in. There were only a few lightbulbs working in the chandelier in the living room, the lock on the back gate didn’t really work very well, we couldn’t use the front door and the walls could use a coat of paint. Another strange thing was there were no blanket/comforters on the beds?!? It’s a really cute house but could use some freshening up

The house had a musty odor upon entering, and I had to buy air fresheners to clear the order. The pictures make the house look newer than it really is, but I had to remember it was a historical house and had to adjust my expectations. Once we settled in, it was very nice being in a house rather than a hotel or even a timeshare. The location of the house is ideal. It is two blocks from the Pink House Restaurant, and walking distance to River Street. River Street was awesome with all the shops and restaurants. It was hard to choose where we wanted to eat. I received several email from Lucky Savannah that included everything I would need to make our visit a success. They were extremely responsive, and I didn't have to guess what to do from check in to check out. The Harper House needs a really deep cleaning since there was a lot of visible dust and dirt. There is no way they could miss what we saw, so I am not sure who supervises or checks their work before the house is occupied. Once cleaned, the house could use a paint job of all the trim. It would freshen up the place. An umbrella on the table on the patio would help since the sun beams down on the patio and there is no shade. You really can't enjoy the patio with the hot, humid sun covering you. There was no television in the second unit, and our guest would have like to have one. The only television was in the living room, and that wasn't great with two couples with different viewing preferences. There are outside lights all around the unit, so light shines in that you can't block since there are only blinds on the windows.

Only needed our car for Tybee Island, Bonaventure Cemetery and the grocery store. The house itself was comfortable and decorated nicely. We loved the courtyard and used it daily for our Rummy card game. Some of the pots and pans were in rough shape but I think that was due to the abuse of renters. We loved, loved, loved B Mathews restaurant at the end of the street. We ate there several times and the food and service were always of high quality. We would stay here again and would like to thank Lucky Savannah for all their help. All in all and A+ experience.

This is my second time staying with Lucky Savannah. We stayed at Harper House and it was wonderful! Perfect size, everything we needed, close to just about everything! The only thing that needs a repair is the water dispenser on the refrigerator, otherwise this place has it all. We will definitely be back and will stay at Harper House. A few of our trips highlights - Leopolds ice cream (worth the wait), B Matthews brunch, Garibaldis seafood, quick drive out to Wormsloe. And for shopping - Capital Bee Co, 24e, Nourish, One Fish Two Fish.
