About this house rental
Situated in Ventura, this charming house for $350 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. (City of Ventura Permit#2157) NO EVENTS NO PARTIES ALLOWED. The Starfish Cottage is the perfect place to relax for your next getaway. Located in the Pierpont neighborhood of Ventura which is just west of the 101 freeway between San Buenaventura State Park and The Marina. This ideal location offers the best of Ventura. Bike trails will take you along ocean paths to Santa Barbara or east to Ojai. Restaurants are within walking distance from The Starfish. The Marina has the best bikini store along with well established eateries. Head across the freeway to old downtown Ventura for a great shopping or dining experience. Check out the resell shops, wine bars, and just all the wonderful locally owned businesses. The cottage kitchen has everything you need for cooking. Our large outdoor patio is comfortable and roomy. Our home is situated on the north side - or sunny side of the lanes- so you will get nice morning breezes and afternoon sun. Step outside the front door for a less then a 2 minute walk to the beach. All Pierpont lanes end at the State Beach. You will love our new extra comfy king bed in the master bedroom - we splurged on the mattress and bedding. The second bedroom has a queen bed and the den has a new queen sofa sleeper. All linens are 600 count cotton sheets, pillows are the Allergen brand and we only use cotton covered down like comforters on all beds. We also provide plenty of throw blankets and extra blankets for your comfort. An outdoor hot/cold shower is available to wash sand off yourself and your suits before going inside. A small amount of sand can clog the pipes and drains. The kitchen is completely stocked with dishes (indoor and out) for your needs. We have a toaster, crock pot, Vitamix, Mocca Master Coffee Pot, spices, condiments and anything in the fridge is free to use. All beach items are stored in The Tuff Shed behind the east front gate. Bikes can be stored behind the locked gate. The Shed is full of beach towels, chairs, umbrellas and other beach items that you will not have to pack. Please contact us anytime with any questions. Starfish Cottage was a perfect choice for a fall getaway. The cottage is well-appointed and CLEAN, and the furniture is very comfortable for lounging! Everything you could possibly need was on hand, and the bath products (and soft water) were luxurious! Our dog loved having a backyard of her own, and the lush landscaping made a wonderful spot for reading. Communication with the host was easy, and she provided very thoughtful information about the house and the area. We'll definitely return to this cottage!!

We loved every minute of our Ventura stay! Location is close to the beach and the Pierpoint neighborhood. A short drive has you in downtown Ventura but everything you need is walking diatance.

The cottage is a short walk to the beach which wasn’t crowded at all. Walking distance to restaurants and quick drive to the marina. Loved the beautifully landscaped garden. Highly recommend, would love to return for another visit.

Our family had a wonderful time at this perfect getaway beach house. It was quaint and met our needs for a little family get together. The backyard was relaxing and nicely landscaped. The beach is such a short walk and all the beach chairs, toys, etc. provided came in so handy. We also loved the convenience of local restaurants, grocery shopping, etc. just down the road. We walked to the donut shop one morning with our grandson. Big smiles for sure. Bunnie was our host and took such good care of us. Thanks for the great time as lots of fun memories were made.

Bunnie’s house was absolutely perfect for our weekend stay in Ventura for the X Games. We were able to walk to the Ventura fairgrounds and back each day.
Beds are comfy. No AC, but it’s not needed— the beach breeze keeps the house cool with the windows open. The area is quiet by 10PM, so there are no noises keeping you awake. Bunnie is very attentive as well, and could always be reached.
I only gave 4 stars for cleanliness as our bed had some sand in it; it wasn’t bothersome once swept out, though.
Would definitely stay here again!

It was a perfect cottage for our family. Close to Ventura downtown, close to LA, close to Santa Barbara, and above all close to the beach. We had wonderful time there. The host was very helpful, and the cottage was cozy with beautiful backyard.

We totally enjoyed our stay at this lovely 2 bedroom cottage. The home is super comfortable and the kitchen is stocked with everything needed to make great meals. The backyard is a peaceful oasis and a perfect place to BBQ and relax. Our pup also felt very much at home here! Bunnie is an excellent host and a great person. I forgot my special chiropractic pillow and Bunnie went out of the way it have it returned to me. We highly recommend staying at this beautiful beach house and will definitely be back!

This place was perfect for our family! Its a 2 bedroom with a place you can have a 3rd bed if you need it - really nice backyard for our dogs, walking distance to the beach every morning and night with a dog friendly beach - even some surf!! It was a really nice cozy fun spot to cook in with a nice center island and attached dining area - we had a blast! Highly recommended also because the host was amazing and responsive. I would choose to go back to Ventura just to stay at this spot!

This is the third time we have stayed at a cottage near this beach and the first time at this cottage. Clean, and everything is fresh and comfortable and well designed. One day after a swim in the ocean, we played all day in the backyard. Its a gorgeous , comfortable garden area. I'm coming back!!!!!!

I just returned from a long weekend with an old friend. We had a so much fun. The location was great and Starfish Cottage was heaven. It's everything you would want in an escape. Starfish Cottage is a great place to stay. The cottage is well set up and there's everything you need. It is right by the beach and and easy walk to the beach, as well as to nearby restaurants and a grocery store. The owners provide the extras so that you can easily enjoy the beach and the area.
