Nestled in Mendocino County, this lovely condo for $275 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. If you want the amazing view of Mother Nature from the privacy of your cliff side suite, come to Cypress Cove. The Cove Suite is located directly across the Bay from the quaint village of Mendocino. Just a short mile south of Mendocino this outstanding private location is set on the oceanfront bluffs of Chapman Point, a natural curve of land that reaches out into the Pacific and a twin to the Mendocino Headlands. The Mendocino Bay setting has dramatic views of the ocean and a direct view of the Mendocino Village across the Bay. Jan 18, 2017 Seriously, THE BEST Date of Stay Jan 1, 2017 Helpful votes: 0/0 Oh, my....this place is like a dream come true !!! The most obviously wonderful thing about it is the location. This is not, simply "water front" or "water views". This is a studio that is HANGING OUT over the ocean. No need to open the sliding doors to the deck to hear the ocean...you will hear it regardless ! I swear this is the best view I've ever had, and I have stayed in some pretty fabulous places. The studio was perfect for me and my dog. I am not sure what it is (although I'm going to ask) but this was the most comfortable bed EVER ! There is a wood stove for ambience and a little extra warmth (although the regular heat was more than adequate) and the hosts provided WOOD ! I have stayed in places with wood stoves before but I have NEVER had wood provided ! Also, I was here the first two weeks of January and there were a lot of rainstorms, the little town of Mendocino lost power several times but Dan and Laura, (my hosts), have a generator, something that made me feel pretty smug as I looked out across the bay to see Mendocino in the dark. Dan and Laura are EXCEPTIONAL as hosts and as people. I had lovely conversations with them and during the storms, Dan checked in with me to make sure the generator was coming on as it was supposed to. They made sure I had everything I needed and since I was there two weeks, they even had the place "spruced up", arranging for the cleaners to come by with fresh towels and sheets..chocolates on the pillows...it really is in the details ! This place and it's hosts are really the best I've experienced. If you are traveling in the Mendocino area, don't miss this one. REALLY. DON'T MISS IT !!!!!! Thank you, Dan and Laura ! I will be back for sure !!! ! ******************************************************************************* The Cove suite is the downstairs unit and is equipped with a small fridge, a sink, a toaster, a coffee pot and a microwave. This suite is the perfect solution for those who enjoy eating out and want to sample top restaurants in the Mendocino area. This house has 4G cell phone service. We also have Comcast high Speed internet and full HD Direct TV. We list this as many vacation rentals in this area do not have any connectivity for phones or internet. (There are two private suites available at Cypress Cove priced individually; See VRBO listing # 687078 The Pacifica Suite for more information). We absolutely love staying at the Cove in Mendocino. We have been staying at this spot since the late 90’s and although we have visited a few other hotels and vacation rentals this is our favorite. It has everything you might desire to enjoy and relax for a long weekend or more. Amazing view of the ocean, lovely sound of the sea, fresh air and a cozy unit with a warm and welcoming feel. Clean and well stocked with a couple of nice surprises… You’ll see. Just delightful!!

My husband and I have been coming to Mendocino for over 40 years...it is our special place. This was our first time staying at the Cove and we felt like we have found our "new home". The views are stunning with the waves crashing and the sounds of the ocean 24/7, looking across to the Mendocino skyline. We enjoyed the privacy in a very quiet neighborhood. The Suite has everything you would need to prepare meals and was one of the best stocked kitchens we have stayed at. The wood burning stove was nice in the evenings and provided an additional layer of coziness. This was our 47th anniversary and we will be back for our 48th and a birthday or two as well. Dan and Laura have put a lot of thought into the details for a romantic, cozy hideaway. Our time was truly magical. Thank you Dan and Laura

Located just out of town, the property did not disappoint. Beautiful property, beautiful surroundings with beautiful views and never-ending sounds of the ocean waves. In the evenings, we would drive into Mendocino to watch sunset, grab dinner then retire back to the property to start a fire and enjoy a glass of wine on the deck with views of city lights. This property was fitted with a kitchenette that was enough for us to make breakfast and water pressure was amazing for showers. I definitely recommend as a romantic retreat.

The view from the large deck and from inside looking thru all the large floor to ceiling windows was absolutely amazing! The hosts provided everything you could need. It was very tastefully decorated reflecting the ocean. Furniture was very comfortable. Location was easy to find and quiet and yet still just a few minutes from town. The hosts were quick to answer any questions we had, and because of their graciousness we will be back. This is one of our favorite places now!

We enjoyed the seclusion & the view was fantastic! The wood stove was so nice to have, bathroom & kitchenette had everything we needed. The only thing we wished for was a screen for the sliding door. But perfect location, private, yet easy to find & so conveniently close to Mendocino. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & would love to come again!

A wonderful few days enjoying the awesome view from the bedroom/living area or the deck day and night. It feels like you’re the only people enjoying this idyllic location.
We would love to return again. Our only complaint is that we received the check-in instructions too close to check-in time. We were travelling in remote areas prior to check-in and had poor internet and cell coverage so were afraid we would not get the information in time.

Our stay was great. The rental property was well maintained and very clean. It was equipped with all the things we would need during our stay. It has an amazing view of Mendocino and the sound of the ocean at night was wonderful, we got some great sleep. We sat on the Balcony and had a glass of wine while we took in the view.

Cypress Cove is exquisite! We spent our days sitting in the Adirondacks starring at the ocean and Mendocino and our evenings cozied up in the living room, fire lit, and a North Coast Brewery beer in our hands. We booked our next stay during our visit!
The bed is comfortable, and well lighted for late night reading. The bathroom is beyond expectation--the jacuzzi tub is so nice! The kitchen is basic, but everything you need. But, the best spot is the deck with the two Adirondacks and a cup of coffee in the morning or glass of wine at sunset.
Also, really appreciated the check in process, so easy and practical! The house was immaculate and there were plenty of bath towels. Excellent communication with the owners, Dan and Laura.

Came here to celebrate my birthday- I love looking at water views, and these exceeded my expectations! Studio was warm and cozy and well appointed as advertised. Very private location just 5 minute drive from the hamlet of Mendocino. Owner was very friendly and communicative. I have already booked my next stay for our anniversary later this year!
