Situated in Balboa Peninsula, this lovely house for $327 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. Starfish Cottage where quality, service, and price meet to create memorable stays in Newport Beach. Travel parties of up to 4 guests without pets are welcome to book! MAXIMUM overnight occupancy is the # stated in the reservation for up to 4 people (including infants/children). We rent to travel parties of 1-4 guests only! We live across the street and personally check-in guests. Any travel group that arrives with more than 4 guests will be turned away and will need to find other accommodations. LIMITED, INFREQUENT daytime visitors of up to 2 people maximum. Over occupancy/use, day or night will result in removal from the property without a refund. Typical Starfish Cottage Day: Walk 1 short block to the beach for sunrise, enjoy a cup of Keurig brewed coffee or tea on the large private front patio, shower in the elegant, cozy bathroom, watch your beloved team or movie on the 55" Smart TV in the living room or the 32" Smart TV in the bedroom, use provided beach chairs and boogie boards to get lots of sand between your toes, BBQ on the natural gas grill or walk a block maybe two to a fantastic restaurant, watch the sunset, and read followed by sleep on a comfortable clean bed. The next day hit repeat with a few changes for variety. Details, Details: Micro split A/C that cools entire cottage, DIRECTV Ultimate Package plus movie channels, Fully stocked kitchen with granite countertops, Samsung stainless steel appliances, 1 bedroom with a California King bed and 32" TV, 1 bedroom with 2 TwinXL beds (same sleeping space per person as a King), the bathroom has custom tile and stone shower and granite top vanity with an ornate mirror above, private washer/dryer, high-quality linens provided, a starter set of soaps and paper goods included. Towels including beach, bath, hand and wash clothes plus kitchen towels provided. Large, private front patio with Weber natural gas BBQ, table with comfortable cushioned chairs (seats 4), storage chest that contains beach gear (4 beach chairs, umbrella, 2 boogie boards). HOUSE RULES HIGHLIGHT: Please note a typical day at Starfish Cottage does NOT include Beer Pong or smoking. This is NOT a party place! Our home is smoke and drug-free. Over occupancy and/or noise levels affecting residents of Newport Beach are enforced by the City of Newport Beach Code and Law Enforcement 24/7. If a guest(s) over occupancy or noise levels result in a city fine, $1,000 minimum, the fine will be charged to the reservation. ALL guests will be immediately evicted. Best suited for 1-4 guests including families with older children (8+) that enjoy meals, snacks, and drinks at the indoor or outdoor table. NO PETS-pet allergy-free home due to family allergies Out of respect for our neighbors, the patio closes at 10 PM. Our neighbors are not on vacation and their right to enjoy their homes is important! Starfish Cottage contents and amenities are for the exclusive use of paying reservation guests. There are friendly, quiet professionals that are long-term tenants in the back units of our home. You may never see or hear them but good to be aware they are on the property.

The Starfish cottage is so cute. The location is one block from beach and within walking distance to shopping and restaurants. This has to be one of the cleanest VRBOs I have rented. The street is rather busy as it is a straight shot to a public beach access but it did not disrupt our stay. We enjoyed having morning coffee on front porch and watching people. The half front door was unique as the weather was perfect for open windows. We appreciated Holly’s communication and generosity. We will definitely consider staying here in the future.

Our stay at the Starfish Cottage was fantastic. The Cottage has upgraded kitchen and bathroom. The location was amazing with everything you could want within easy walking distance. We plan to stay there again next summer! I highly recommend the Starfish Cottage.

We loved the cottage! Holly met us upon arrival and gave us some tips. The cottage was perfectly clean and had thoughtful touches including both coffee and tea, to go cups, pens and the like. We loved the location so close to the beach, grocery store and restaurants. We hope to return again soon!

Over the past 8 years we have stayed at dozens of VRBO locations across the country. The STARFISH is at the top of the chart. First, the beach-bay location is perfect. Toes in the sand. Lunch on the bay. Off the rails walkability. Second, the actual cottage is very comfortable and amazingly quiet for a Balboa location. Finally, Hollie is an awesome host. No item is overlooked. And she is readily available.

Holly was amazing, met us at the front door (even saved a parking space for us!) went through everything about the house and amenities…made sure we were comfortable and all set! Everything we needed was there…even beach chairs towels and an umbrella. There was plenty of parking-which was my biggest concern but it wasn’t ever a problem. The street was clean, safe and everyone was so friendly!! I will absolutely be back very very soon!! 10/10 would definitely recommend 💕💕

What a wonderful cottage! The location was excellent close to restaurants, beach, store, and activities. Holly was an amazing host giving us lots of suggestions of where to go and activities. Nice Cottage in a Perfect Location
We had a really great stay at Starfish Cottage. The location is perfect, just a short walk down to the beach, as well as to restaurants and a grocery store. Mama D's down the street is some of the best Italian food I've ever had. The beach there is really nice - clean sand and warm water. The cottage was comfortable and came equipped with everything we needed. In addition to the beach, we used it as a base to visit Disneyland, which I think worked out a lot better than the hotels near Disney, and for about the same price. Parking is a little tight but workable, we were always able to park on the street or the public lot at the end of the block - it would've been a little easier had we thought to bring our minivan instead of my giant truck. Hostess Holly was fantastic, and went out of her way to help us out of a jam when we accidentally left some personal items behind at the end of our stay. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful time staying in this cozy beach cottage over spring break. Holly and her husband saved us a parking spot in front of the house which was very helpful over the Easter holiday weekend. We enjoyed going to the beach everyday with our kids and appreciated the overall walkability of the neighborhood with local restaurants and a Pavilions so close by. The cottage itself is so charming and was perfect for our family of 4. We also we were able to make good use out of the grill and loved spending our evenings out on the patio.

We had a wonderful time staying in this cozy beach cottage over spring break. Absolutely Perfect!
My husband and I stayed at Starfish for 4 nights to celebrate our anniversary and it was perfect! From the moment I booked with Holly to the second we left, things were flawless. The location is fabulous… close to everything, we walked or rode bikes everywhere! We will definitely be back :) thank you Holly and Drew for your hospitality!

The Starfish Cottage is everything advertised and more. The property was extremely clean and well stocked for our needs. Check-in was a breeze and parking was easy to find. The property is close to nice restaurants, the grocery store and the beach. Despite the fact it was cool and cloudy for most of our stay we were still able to enjoy biking, walks on the beach, a boat tour of Newport and some yummy restaurants. If we choose to vacation in Newport again, Starfish will be our choice.

Starfish Cottage is In a great location - just a couple blocks to the beach, a grocery store, and several good restaurants. The property is clean, well-maintained and stocked with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Holly was very responsive to helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend this home for your next visit to Newport Beach.

Clean and Cheerful
We had a great experience staying at this house. We are very familiar with the area as we recently moved from here and I know how hard it can be to find a clean beach rental. Many beach homes are old and run down and people don’t care because of the location. However, Holly put so much thought and care into making this a comfortable and clean home. The shower is a bit small which should be noted if someone needs the larger space but I loved how clean and nice it was. Perfect for the average person. Great care and detail was put into this home which we appreciated. We highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

The location of this property is perfect! You can walk one short block to the beach, grocery store, or a variety of restaurants and shopping. Holly was wonderful to work with. Amazing hospitality! We had a late arrival time and she saved a parking spot for us on a very busy weekend and recommended great restaurants. The house was the perfect size for 4. It is true there is not room for 5. The house was beautifully updated, stocked well, and very comfortable.
