About this lodge
Welcome to Redwood Lodge, a spacious, owner operated log cabin designed for families, groups, and friends looking for the best of Hocking Hills lodging. Tucked among the trees, this property combines the privacy of a wooded retreat with modern comforts that make it easy to relax after a day of exploring Hocking Hills State Park, Old Man’s Cave, and nearby trails.
The moment you pull in the driveway you'll notice the breathtaking outdoor fireplace surrounded by over 1000 sq ft of covered deck space surrounded by trees.
The kitchen features everything needed to prepare a meal. Enjoy a dinner "at home" at the custom made dining table or breakfast bar. There is a gas grill out on the deck or ask us about catering options if you'd rather leave the cooking to someone else.
The main floor living room features sofas and love seats arranged around the 2 story stone wood burning fireplace and TV with DirecTV.
On the main floor is the master bedroom with queen bed and master bath. The master bath features a jetted jacuzzi tub, double vanity and walk in shower. The connected master bedroom has a sliding glass door out onto the deck.
Upstairs, there are 2 queen beds in the loft along with 2 of the bedrooms and a full bathroom. Off the 2nd floor there is a secluded covered porch with swing, a nice getaway.
The 2 remaining bedrooms are located in the basement. One queen bedroom and one bunk bedroom with 2 sets of twin bunk beds.
The basement has a game room with TV, shuffle board table, and foosball. There is a wall bar with stools, couches and love seats. From here you can walk out on to the bottom covered deck to take in all the natural beauty and a game of corn hole. There is a full size washer and dryer in the basement.
All towels and linens are provided.
We love the Hocking Hills and have hiked all the area trails and visited many of the attractions so feel free to ask for recommendations, we want you have an amazing vacation!

Overall, we liked the place, but it had some small issues that with some attention, could have made it better. We really liked the arrangement of the bedrooms. The master bedroom is on the first floor with a jetted tub, but it didn’t hold water. Loved the bunk room for our 4 grandchildren. It would have been nice to have somewhere to put the clothes like a dresser for 4 little people sharing that space. There is a small closet in the bunk room to hang clothes but for kids it was pretty much useless. The tub in the lowest level next to the bunk room didn’t hold water. No stopper that worked here either. Most of the bedrooms did not have a dresser so we lived out of our suitcases. Dressers would help. The electric stove top burners didn’t all work or didn’t work correctly. Pans for cooking were sufficient but some a little beat up. Ice maker in the refrigerator doesn’t work. Nice quiet neighborhood on a dead end street. The house sits on a wooden large lot (very private). Plenty of parking. Not much green lawn. We didn’t notice any insects in the house. The house is dark inside due to being set around a bunch of trees. I personally like some natural light. The blackout curtains were awesome & With it already being dark inside made it great for sleeping. Beds were very squeaky. Hot tub was clean & worked well. House was clean. Leather type couches were nice & comfy. Host was accommodating, but slow to respond. We would give it a 7 to 8 out of 10.

We had a wonderful stay in Hocking Hills! The cabin was exactly as described and exceeded our expectations. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed to prepare meals for our group, and there was plenty of space for everyone to spread out and relax.Our group included six adults, two children, and three dogs, and the cabin comfortably accommodated all of us. Everyone had enough room, and the layout worked perfectly for our family gathering. We spent a lot of quality time together and made some great memories.The property was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. We had so much fun during our stay and would definitely come back!

Thank you for providing such a clean and grand cabin! Me and my sister's families (9 adults) were able to spread out and have our own space or come together to play games downstairs, on the deck, or at the large kitchen table. The kitchen had the appliances we needed, plenty of dishware and surprise storage containers. The expansive wrap-around deck was a great place to read or listen to the numerous birds and absorb nature...so many chairs and rockers! Plus we were spoiled with each floor having their own private deck space. Loved the hot tub in the morning to loosen up the body before the day's hike. Our dogs felt welcome and had plenty of floor space to hang out and extra running space on the deck and driveway to play with their toys. Even had a decent night to see the stars between the treetops and even better at the top of the driveway. Nice private road for walks too. Less than 30 minutes to Old Man's Cave and Grandma Feys. We enjoyed the privacy and the nice accommodations!
