The house had just been updated and is beautiful. The views are awesome!The management co was not super helpful with what amenities were in the house, granted it had just been remodeled. We were not given all the keys, so they delivered them but rather than apologize the gentleman told us not to lose them or it would cost $250. Customer service is not strong. I own a vacation rental and woukd never that someone like that.

My family and I sent a week at this location. The view is amazing and the house is within walking distance to everything in Avila.It cost over $3,000.00 for the stay. At this rate I expect the exterior of the house cleaned and the landscaping kept up. There were old BBQ Grills laying down outside. I had to pick them up and move them out of the way.

Overall such a great time, CANNOT beat that view! A little misleading on the website when it says it sleeps 8, it definitely only has enough beds for 6 people and then they consider the couch and floor space room for 2 more people. Which I'm fine with. But I thought there was like a pull out bed or something so that was a little misleading. Also the dining room lights didn't work so we couldn't eat in the dining room at night because it was too dark and there was some miscommunication around fixing those. Overall great stay though and such a cute little cottage!

We have stayed here in the past a number of years ago and the view is still spectacular; however, very still has been done in the way of upgrades. This is more appropriately called a Beach Shack. The locks on the doors are "still" sketchy - we had to get a screwdriver and tighten the downstairs outside door handle. I think the shack is priced way to high for what it is - the view is spectacular like i said; the home not so much.

Extended family stayed here for a week. Loved the view, the convenience, the town, bike path, and sound of the waves at night. Eight people can fit if you don't mind doubling up, with two on an air mattress, or one on the couch. We did have a problem with a car not starting after parked on a downward slope in the driveway. The gas tank was not full enough for the fuel pump to get gas to the engine. After filling up the tank the car started. There was a red container with a gallon of gas in the garage, so I could tell this has happened to others. I wish the property management company would have warned us about this potential problem. Other than that, everything was great.

House was in a great location. Kitchen well stocked and views were great. Only negative would be "sleeps 8". We were a party of 8 and there is room for 3 couples but anyone after that, or someone who is single, ends up on an air mattress.

Had a beautiful view. The house was clean and charming. The fact that you have to go through the bedrooms to get to the bathroom on the main floor was inconvenient because children sleeping in bedrooms woke up. The other drawback was the steepness of the hill to get to beach.

My friends and I stayed at this property as a trip back to our Alma Mater. Go Cal Poly! We were bummed at first that there were not many vacation rentals in San Luis Obispo so we could not be down by all of the things/restaurants we missed. So, we "settled" for staying in Avila and could not be happier. The location was perfect and the home slept us easily. We were able to drive/uber in to town for a pretty good price and then wake up to drink coffee on the beach. Overall, we were glad this place worked out and I would definitely stay here again!

Stay was great as always. Recommend installing screen doors on the (2) sliders. It was unusually hot this visit and opened the doors for air and my daughter was stung by a meat bee in the dining area. She is allergic, foot swelled up and a lot of pain. Carpet has several large stains and needs a steam cleaning. With that said, it is always clean, well furnished and with that view, it trumps everything else.

This house has by far the most beautiful view in all of Avila Beach. The furniture could be updated for comfort but overall a beautiful experience. We had a problem in the downstairs bedroom and it was taken care of as soon as they were made aware of it. Love Avila Beach and will return.

This was our first time staying at this property in Avila. The description offered online was accurate, but really the place is a little roomier than the pics online would suggest. Everything was clean and functional and the kitchen was well stocked. This place was originally built in 1930, although it has been added onto it still retains the cozy charm of a beach cottage. There are no high end finishes like granite counter tops or stainless steel appliances in the kitchen here, and the square footage was less than what we have previously had in Avila.... But the views of the ocean and beach REALLY make this vacation rental stand out from many others in town. We will definitely book another week on San Antonio next summer. The only recommendation is that the management replace the very rickety $20 BBQ with something more stable and functional before the current one topples over and burns down the front porch.

We stayed in Avila during our son's Cal Poly Graduation. It all worked out fabulously for us. The drive back into SLO was easy, and worth a few extra minutes to get back to town in order to stay by the Ocean!!!

We stay in Avila frequently and this cottage was one of our favorites. We always prefer the original cottages as opposed to all the new condos. This cottage has, by far, the best view! The beds are comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. We had 6 people and loved our time there -- will certainly return!

We live in Virginia Beach, our son was graduating from Cal Poly. I grew up in Sacramento, and our parents joined us at this amazing beach house with our daughter, son in law and and our new grandson. The view was amazing and for my folks in their 80's when we were all visiting and out and about for graduation it offered them the most amazing views! THANK YOU.some of the kitchen drawers needed repair...but would not sway my decision to stay here again.

We were really impressed with 75 San Antonio, It was just perfect for our graduation weekend. View and location were superb for whale watching! Loved all the plush towels and refrigerator with ice maker and water. The only negative I would say is the carpets desperately need to be replaced and wish the balconies were bigger so that more than two could sit outside.

6 of us enjoyed 7 days of family reunion at this fantastic cute "beachy" home (3 queen beds and 2 bathrooms). The layout has one bedroom and full bath downstairs (access through the garage or exterior stairs from the dining room) and 2 bedrooms and full bath on the main level. The kitchen was well equipped, comfy beds, clean house, endless views, quiet neighborhood. We fell asleep each night listening to sounds of the waves :). A few steps took you to the beach and town. 10 minutes to SLO for a fantastic farmers market & BBQ dinner, and 50 minutes to Solvang for Paula's Pancakes. We are already planning our next trip and would love to stay here again. One comment for the owners, the BBQ is a bit rickety, but usable. All in all, the best family vacation ever! Highly recommend this home!

Great funky beach house for families. Grandma and Grandpa had quiet room downstairs with own bathroom and tv and queen bed.(yes, you have to go outside for the stairs down or out through the garage) Need better lighting for night....just go slowly. Grandkids and their parents upstairs with 2 queens and "jack and jill" bathroom. Best thing about it was the view of ocean! We could have just sat at the table all day looking out. Easy walk to town and beach. The town is spotless and friendly. Kitchen very well supplied. Very clean and the managers were easy and friendly to work with. Hope we can go back again in the future. Walking around SLO was fun as well as visiting the mission (within 20 min drive). Avila Farm fun place for kids as well. But they liked the beach best!

I cannot say enough good things about this property. We’ve stayed at a lot of different rental properties over the years. This one falls at the top! Three words, location, location, location. Avila Beach itself is a quaint but modern beach town with tons of great boutiques, restaurants, bars and shops. The home itself had incredible breathtaking views. My favorite part of the entire property is the dining area with ceiling to floor windows with an adjacent kitchen. The owners of the property did not cut any corners on decor, comforts, cleanliness and design. From the plushest of towels, softest of sheets to the upscale yet simple decorations, no one could go wrong with a place like this. The street traffic during high season can be problematic, along with pedestrian traffic noise disturbances. But for me and my family, it was not even a bother. The house itself has sufficient parking.
