Our stay was beyond perfect. Everything was even better than advertised! The house was white glove clean, the linens were fresh (not to mention there were more than we would’ve needed!) The kitchen had everything we needed and more. The extra touches like a wonderful variety of k-cups for the coffee maker and the delicious coffee creamer made our mornings that much more sweet. The dining table had a checkers board and there was a variety of games which we absolutely adored! The bed was extremely comfy and the linens and pillows felt like we were in a hotel. Elaine and Duane even added some special little touches to make my girlfriend’s birthday weekend extra special! The property was so cute, we loved all of the little touches inside and out. Everywhere you look you could see the love and effort that went into making it homey. There are butterflies and other artistic elements throughout the property and it was so cute to walk around and look for them! Elaine was a wealth of information and shared some really great places to visit as well as the free entertainment in the village which we really enjoyed! We didn’t get a chance to do the boat tour but we’re bringing our kids back for another visit and we will be staying in their bigger property next door! I absolutely recommend staying with these hosts at either of their properties and can personally attest you will be more than pleased with your stay! I rented this cottage as a Christmas gift for my parents. It caught my eye because it was cute! My parents had a great time. They said it was a nice size for the two of them, very clean and had so many amenities. They even had to contact the owners on the way there to confirm the route. The owners stayed on the phone with them until they pulled into the driveway. Excellent customer service!! Thank you for making this a successful gift. Can't wait to plan a tip for the whole family to stay!

My girlfriend and I spent a beautiful winter weekend at the cottage. It was very close to the brewery, lake and village. We went during a winter storm, so it was definitely a fun experience. Elaine was in constant contact and was very helpful during the entire process. I can’t wait to go back in the summer to see this place again. I definitely recommend staying here for a romantic getaway or a family trip.

If you want to relax and unwind and feel spoiled then Butterfly Cottage is it! We had the most amazing birthday weeken for my hubby. The weather was perfect and it is only about 1 minute to the Village. Our hostess Elaine is the BEST! Not only is her Cottage full of everything you could need for your visit she made my husband birthday so much more special with her little gifts she left. Communication was easy and booking was easy and if you need a romantic getaway this is the place or even just "alone" time please make sure you book the Butterfly Cottage!!

Elaine was incredible! She reached out before our stay with helpful packing tips, weather info, and recommendations. When we arrived for our "mini-moon"/Valentine's Day, the cottage was full of heart balloons, treats, rose petals, and gifts (including drinks and a personalized cake in the fridge commemorating our special occasion)! She went above and beyond, and we can't wait to stay at one of her cottages again!!! Thank you Elaine and Duane!!!

Cutest little cottage, perfect for a couple or small family. Beautiful views, lots of snow, and short walk from Lake Arrowhead Village where there is tons to do! You will first, fall in love with the owner Elaine, and then you will fall in love with this adorable cottage. She is an excellent communicator and was so thoughtful to leave special gifts to celebrate our Anniversary. The location is super close to the Lake, Village and many restaurants. Her cottage is extremely cozy, clean and in a quiet little neighborhood. We can't wait to return. Thank you Elaine for making our first visit to Lake Arrowhead a memorable one!

Had to return to lake arrowhead for a memorial. Not the best reason to visit but Elaine made everything so easy and welcoming. I was able to relax and catch up with friends. Everything was close by. I recommend the butterfly cottage highly.

My husband and I decided last minute to try to get up to Arrowhead to enjoy the snow this past weekend, and the Butterfly cottage was a perfect choice for us! Elaine was a fantastic host, the best communication we've had with a host, she even texted the weather and road conditions to me before we got on the road! We loved the option to check out so late in the day so we wouldn't be rushed. The cottage itself was clean, quaint, cozy and had everything we needed. She went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable during our stay. We ended up spending more time in the cottage then we did exploring the towns because it was so comfortable. Being comfortable is hard when you are pregnant but myself and my husband slept great. We cant wait to bring our new little one back next year!

I was looking for a place to surprise my husband for his birthday. I told Elaine and she went out of her way to have a sparkling drink with two glasses and balloons set up for us when we walked in the cottage! She had the sweetest little cake for us to share and even thought of candles for his wish.
What I really loved is how she had anticipated her guests' every need. She was accessible to answer any questions we might have, although she had readily supplied all the information we needed in the guest pdf packet as wells as her supply of brochures in the cottage.
We visited the last weekend of October, which coincided with the last week of Oktoberfest. It was nice to go down and have some beer, German sausage and apple strudel for lunch while the festivities were going on. The weather was perfect: comfortable during the day and crisper at night. The leaves were beginning to turn and the sky was crystal clear. We enjoyed dinner at Stone Creek Bistro (make reservations the day before or you can also sit at the bar) and the next morning we treated ourselves to The Tudor House Sunday champagne brunch. The live piano music was a treat, ambiance was great, and the food was delicious!
We were thankful for the sign she had out on the main road with the name Butterfly Cottage on it so we knew where to turn. We liked how there were trees behind the cottage for privacy and the parking was right in front for an easy arrival and departure. We got the chance to meet Elaine's husband Duane and he was as friendly and as helpful as could be.
We look forward to coming back again! Thank you for a memorable time!

I was looking for a quick adventure after attending a family event and stumbled upon Lake Arrowhead. Not really knowing the area or what to expect with the housing I took a gamble on the Butterfly Cottage and boy was I in for a pleasant surprise. Elaine went above and beyond giving me information on the area and making sure I was set up to enjoy the experience. The cottage is friggin' adorable and I felt like I was in mini fairy tale. It is tucked away in the cutest cluster of cabin style houses but also conveniently located (4 minute drive to the village). It is elegantly decorated and has all the sweet comforts of home. My only regret was not getting to stay longer. Thank you so much Elaine, I will be back!

Elaine is such a gracious, generous host - we immediately felt right at home in this quaint, cozy little cottage. From the onset, she made our trip special by sending us coupons to shopping, telling us things to do while we were there, and taking extra effort to accommodate our little toddler to make her trip special. She left sand box toys for her for the backyard play area and access to the little playhouse. When we arrived, she even left a little stuffed giraffe and bubbles for our daughter...who does that?! She was immediately all smiles when she saw that. The cottage is well appointed with chilled bottled water, a keurig with coffee, and cozy king sized bed. You can't beat the location, nestled among the trees, quiet, and close to all of the mountain attractions. She even offered us early check-in and late check-out so we could maximize our one night away. Highly recommend!! We will be back! Thank you!!

Well kept property with new everything: flooring, washer and dryer, toaster oven, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, giant flat screen with cable. Kitchenette and small bathroom perfect for a couple. We liked it so much we added an extra day. The nightly concerts in the Village were icing on the cake, and we felt like family when our "landlord" had a couple seats reserved for us. Wow! What a sweet lady! Thank you Elaine and Duane for making our weekend getaway so memorable!
