Terribile, evitate nella maniera più assoluta

Evitate questo ostello nella maniera più assoluta. Ci hanno accolti insegnandoci un trucco su come usare il wc per evitare di allegare casa. Nonostante abbiamo seguito pedissequamente i loro consigli, al nostro ritorno abbiamo trovato la casa completamente allagata e le nostre valigie fradice. Non ci hanno proposto altre soluzioni ma ci hanno chiesto di non usare il bagno tutta notte. In tutto ciò ci avevano pure parcheggiato davanti all'ingresso della casa. Mai vista situazione più assurda

Nice stay at family run place

The staff (family) are incredibly helpful. The area is great- within walking distance of the bus stop and all the great cafes, shops, and restaurants. There are also a couple viewpoints not too far away. The bathrooms were shared but huge with hot water showers. The kitchen was also huge. Our private room was comfortable.

The breakfast was very simple and not the most filling but still a bonus.

Nice place for a good stay.

Perfect location and nice place to stay. Staff was friendly and proper price as well. Beds are comfy, room is quite small but it's OK. Good vibes in the hostel, friendly guests. Carpark underneath the hostel was good as well.

Kitchen not fully equipped and door was making sounds when opening. Big light next to the dorm which was quite bright at night.

Nice place to stay

I love the staff! They were so awesome and gave such great recommendations for food! Breakfast was simple and delicious. I liked that there were two bathrooms with toilet and shower (with hot water). The location was near the center but far enough to get quiet nights of sleep. The place is clean and wifi works great!

The bunk bed was a bit odd for me as I slept on top. There isn't a railing to hold onto...but I made it work. Aside for this, nothing to complain about, loved it here.

Great!!

It's not about where you are, but who you're with. This is definitely true for this hostel, as the staff are incredibly kins, helpful and fun! Everything was very clean, and the bathrooms were spacious. The breakfasts were simple but good, and varied with the days. Thank you for being so welcoming!!

Great Staff, Great Location, Fair Price but the insects might be annoying

The staff was absolutely amazing and taking care of us. The Hostel is in the centre of Santa Elena and has an easy way to everything you need (Supermarkets,Restaurants, etc.).

We had some trouble with several insects and the door to the shower was hard to open.

Nice stay, but could be improved a bit.

Nice family business, friendly people who helped in arranging stuff.

We did not actually stay in the hotel, but where transferred to their sister location (as apparently renovation works were happening). A bit strange to start with since we only booked a couple of days before and they surely knew about it. But people were friendly and we enjoyed our stay anyway, even if a bit farer away. Could not pay with card, since they would have to add some extra taxes then (?). Would be great to have some sort of seating area for us to have breakfast. We could sometimes use their breakfast room, but only when someone was at the property - we were mostly the only guests, so quite often the doors were locked.

Could have been worse

Staff was really friendly and helpful, it really is a family business. Location is in walking distance to all important things in santa elena. Balcony and social area is good.

There are dorm beds in the actual kitchen/ walking through area without doors. Kitchen and bathroom could have been cleaner. Our room had no natural light/window. It's overpriced for what you get.

I would recommend other properties. This one is good for last minute emergency use.

The staff were very helpful.

The window in our room was bricked up. Lots of load music at night. No breakfast. Had to pay for a key and towel.

Superb

The staff is really friendly and helpful. The place is very familiar and make you feel like at home. They help me a lot with the reservation of activities and transportation, and they provide useful information so you can make your own decision. It was very nice talking to Andres and his family. I highly recommend the place. Enjoy your trip!! ;)

was moved without permission and no formal request

She helped us with information and booking stuff. She got us an extra blanket for the night. can’t say anything about the original booked accommodation since got moved

The stay got a strange beginning after we got a whatsup message saying she Had booked us on another of her family’s accommodations and got a Facebook link to the hostel. The new place were far from town (since it is quite hilly in the area) and not even a question if that was ok for us. We have been rebooked on other stays before but then it always have been a formal request through bookings system. Only when asking we got an explanation to why we got moved and got some more information which to be honest I don’t believe. Felt like they used one accommodation to fill the families other accommodations. And we never got so much as a sorry for the uncovenience. Well at the new accommodation (mountain faro) she helped with some things but didn’t felt genuine. We needed to take out the trash and ask for new trash bags more than once.

Family Hostel was really good place to live, clean spacious and homey. It's located near the town center about 2 minutes walking. The staff(owner) was very nice and helpful. He told me everything like food tour and transportation. I strongly recommend the next guests attend some tours through family hostel because the owner will give you a lower price than those travel agencies in the town center. Trust me！Anyway, thank you for hosting me and hope the owner and guests have a great time in Santa Elena.

If provide a clean quilt sheet or cover, that could be better.

Comfortable quiet and friendly.Perfect for the price.

Very friendly helpful staff.Good wifi.Great price.Perfect location.It's a new hostel and they still have improvements to make but a great start.

Nothing really...maybe I would prefer a key so when nobody's around I could come & go.But I suppose as they get busier they will be open all the time...
