Located in Bald Head Island, this lovely cottage for $350 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. Carolina Moonshine @ BHI is the best in the Marina! This shingled cottage rimming the Bald Head Island Marina with south-facing porch provides breathtaking waterfront views of marina, harbor, ferry terminal, & river. The sunrises & sunsets over the water make it spectacular!!! The harbor location makes it the center of Island activities summer, winter, spring or fall! Carolina Moonshine is within walking distance to all the restaurants, bars, coffee & ice cream shops. It is convenient to Old Baldy Lighthouse & Smith Island Museum and the Village Chapel & Post Office. Take advantage of Moon Shine's location with access to three Beach Accesses directly from the harbor. The island beach accesses are for everyone. You may enjoy visiting the South & East Beaches too, but you have your own here in the harbor. From here you can go island cruising through the maritime forest or take the beach route called Bald Head Wynd on our 2 passenger golf cart to the beach, the market, the clubs, or conservancy. You can rent bikes, sailboats, kayaks, or stand up paddle boards to tour the island, too. Carolina Moon Shine's spacious one bedroom has new Pottery Barn Linen King Bed with Westin Heavenly Mattress topped by luxurious linens and down filled duvet and pillows. Seating area includes two upholstered chairs and mirrored table for morning coffee or just looking out over the water. Accessories are tastefully appointed with mindfulness to your comfort. Separate kitchenette is fully furnished with 2 burner cooktop, mini refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, fully stocked china and cook wear. Maritime Market has everything for your gourmet tastes! No need to pack much as it's all available on the island! Adjoining full tiled bath with glassed-in shower includes necessities, towels and hairdryer. South facing porch with teak chairs & table encompass all marina views from ferry dock to yachts to restaurants and lighthouse. A beautiful place to have your favorite drink. Conveniently located close to beach and salt marsh creek accesses and all water activities. Bald Head Island Club sports membership available for fee for golf, tennis, swimming, croquet & fine dining. Boutique shopping and spa facilities are located on island. Walk Keelson Row and catch the yacht names visiting our island! Or just watch them cruise in & out of the marina from the quiet of your porch! Carolina Moonshine can be your little bit of private paradise at Bald Head Island! Carolina Moonshine has high speed internet, Smart TV, our subscription to Netflix for you to use (please do not disable) for your enjoyment. Carolina Moonshine has a non smoking and no pet policy which is strictly enforced. Please do not ignore this part of our contract. This home has security cameras to protect the guests and the home from untoward behaviors and remain constantly monitored. Only views of the property similar to those as seen from the street are available on our cameras. We try hard to accommodate you and provide the hospitality you deserve. For your convenience in accessing & departing Bald Head Island please remember to make your tram reservations to Carolina Moonshine as soon as possible. The tram is free with the purchase of your ferry ticket but you must arrive and depart Moonshine within the specified time of your contract. My husband and I were in town over NYE's weekend for a dear friend's wedding. This location right at the Marina was perfect! It's so close to the ferry that you don't have to worry about a tram service - it's just a quick little walk. We also had dinner at Jules the first night, and that was also within walking distance. The golf cart that's included with the rental came in handy the rest of the weekend, getting to and from all of the wedding festivities. In addition to the location being perfect, the bed, pillows, and linens were so comfy we found it hard to get out of bed! It exceeded expectations on all levels - including our gracious host.

Our stay was to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We walked in with wide eyes and smiles as the unit is beautiful! Exactly what we needed, comfy bed, kitchenette was perfect, excellent fridge, great little deck to sit outdoors for morning coffee and breakfast, afternoon glasses of wine, while watching boats come and go. Place was spotless, including the bathroom. Plenty of towels, including beach towels. Beach chairs were a plus, golf cart gets you wherever you want to go. However, location-location-location, situated on the marina, you can walk to restaurants, beaches, and the lighthouse is not far for a nice, long stroll. ( or the golf cart gets you there in minutes).

Loved our too-short visit. It was relaxing, weather was good to us, days on the beach, nights on the marina. 5+ stars for our little getaway!

The Carolina Moonshine cottage is ideally situated in the BHI Marina with seemingly a purpose-built location for sunsets! It is smartly furnished with ocean/sea-side decor and the Owner is extremely accessible and accommodating. One at-large issue will unfortunately exist for any and all guests here, however: having to leave it!!!

This location was even better than the pictures! Beautiful place on the marina, just a short walk from the ferry and Old Baldy. We got to watch dolphins in the marina while having dinner at Jules. The golf cart made it very easy to get to the rest of the island. The bed is so comfortable and everything we needed was already there. We really enjoyed our weekend and can’t wait to visit again!

Old Baldy is just a short stroll from the cottage. The host provided us with lots of useful information and was readily available if we needed any assistance (which we did not). The bed and pillows were so comfy and little touches, like a variety of Keurig coffee, made the experience even more enjoyable. We highly recommend this property and hope to return again soon.
