About this condo rental
Nestled in Back Bay, this lovely condo for $298 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. Location! Location! Location! Two blocks from the Back Bay T and Amtrak station, and another two blocks to Copley Square / Prudential Center. This one bedroom, one bath duplex (2 levels)features a lovely, private garden with gas BBQ and patio table; a granite and stainless kitchen, bath with full tub and shower, on the ground floor, cable tv and internet and more. The bedroom is on the main level. Located in the heart of Boston, at the Back Bay / South End T and Amtrak station near restaurants and retail center. Please select either the $59 insurance policy OR the security deposit but remember, VRBO charges its fees based on the entire amount including damage deposits :-( It has confused some. But only the deposit or insurance is required. Not both. Thanks :-)

Just as described. Clean and lovely home suitable for a couple. We stayed 6 nights here and really enjoyed our time. Nice little patio area to enjoy as well. We walked all over Boston from here. Walkable and safe to downtown, the harbor & Fenway. Located in Back Bay which has plenty of places to see and grab meals and drinks. Walkable to the Charles River with the river walk. I could go on and on. Great hosts with excellent communication. Loved all the extras left for us. Definitely would stay here again.
Just a note for anyone with mobility issues there are steep stairs from the entry level to the living area. Enjoy!

If you want to truly experience the city of Boston you need to live like a local. This perfectly appointed brownstone did not disappoint! Super clean, small/quaint/cozy but plenty of space. Great outdoor courtyard patio area. We can’t wait to return!! And if you want the best night sleep ever you are going to love the bed! Mattress/bedding were heavenly.

Absolutely amazing stay. My husband and I have rented numerous VRBOs through the years and this one, hands down, was the best. The apartment was beautiful and super clean. Location was perfect. Just a very short walk to the T. Above all, the host was superb! I am 100% going to stay here again and would highly recommend this rental.

This was the cutest historic apartment in a great location. We were walking distance from many restaurants, shops, and public transportation. Everything felt very safe walking in day or night.
We loved the sitting in the back patio relaxing and the wonderful hospitality. Snacks and some food were provided (cheese/meat/crackers, wine, OJ, milk, and candy). The apartment felt like a home. We are so happy to have stayed here.

The location, the hosts and all the little extras were top notch! It was so welcoming to be greeted with a bottle of wine and other little culinary treats — they even had a darker make-up towel( now that is really going above & beyond). The only caveat would be the bathroom and bedroom are on different levels- it was fine for us , but if you were to have mobility issues it might be challenging
I couldn’t be any more effusive about how perfect this stay was. Two thumbs way up!

Great location and the residence was equipped with everything to make your stay comfortable. Host was very thoughtful in supplying some snacks and drinks although we had already bought stuff before arriving. Music was on when we entered providing a very welcoming experience. Hope to return!

This was my fifth trip to Boston. This place just exudes historical charm; all of the reviews are accurate and the praise well-deserved. The owners have literally thought of everything and the level of hospitality is one of the best I've ever experienced on VRBO, with a kitchen stocked with food items as well as a bathroom full of amenities; so many, in fact, that we could not even use them all.
The location of the condo could not be better: just a few minutes walk to the Back Bay T station. Very easy to get to wherever you need to go in Boston.
About the layout. Looking at the photos, I actually thought the stairs went up from the street entrance but they actually go downstairs from street level. The bedroom is more or less on street level while the kitchen, bathroom, and sitting area (plus access to the rear yard) are at a lower level (technically, the bedroom overlooks the rear yard). It's an old building but everything has been remodeled and is in excellent shape.
Some may find the stairs to be narrow and steep. They are not unsafe, but some extra caution is needed. The motion-activated night lights are a very welcome addition.
The owners live on site in an adjoining unit. The condo displays pride of ownership and that translates to an excellent experience. This is hands down one of the best places I have stayed on VRBO. If I come to Boston in the future for sure I will try to book this place again.

We are coming to Boston often as we visit our daughter in college. This was our best stay by far. The place is absolutely adorable, cozy, & very quiet. The little garden was our favorite part. The house has plenty of storage space and many hangers in the closets, all little details are taken care of with everything you can possibly need. Jack is a great host, provided lots of snacks & wine. We felt like home & I won’t look for any other place to stay in Boston next time!

My husband and I stayed in this adorable little home while visiting Boston for our 5th wedding anniversary. It is in a perfect location - close to shops, drug store, and within walking distance to nice restaurants. The neighborhood is safe and quiet.
You’ll enjoy the roomy but cozy living room and big kitchen, everything you need for your stay is at your fingertips. The outdoor patio is too adorable for words.

We stayed here in October for a fall getaway. Upon arrival we were met by Greg who gave us a quick tour of the residence. Our hosts had a charcuterie board waiting which was great as we were starving. I am in remission from cancer which I shared and they also had a congratulatory cake in the fridge. So heartfelt.
Every amenity or small item you need they have it. Kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked. The whole unit was very warm and cozy. After long days of walking the city my girlfriend and I were super happy to return and just relax.
The LOCATION!!! You are within walking distance to everything. A subway/train station, restaurants galore, entertainment and historic sights. Parks. And if you are not in the walking mood, Uber's are there within minutes. You are also within a 20 minute Uber ride to the airport.
Overall this was the best VRBO experience I have had. The hosts are incredibly hospitable and gracious. The unit is very warm and cozy and the location is exceptional. All around we loved staying here. I HIGHLY recommend.

Very clean, well stocked, cutest and most comfortable decor, thought of everything a guest would ever want or need! Thank you for the wine, meats, cheese, crackers and candy! You guys are the best hosts with the best home! The outdoor patio is a perfect place to sit and relax in the mornings. The house is extremely kept with great taste in decor and thought put into feeling like home. We will definitely be back!

We thought the stairs added to the wonderful atmosphere of the duplex, but for someone with knee issues, they may present a challenge.

We enjoyed our stay at this property so much! Jack, the property owner and manager, was outstanding - responsive when we had questions and reached out to see how we were doing and whether there was anything which would make our stay even more enjoyable. The property is spic and span and so homey it felt like we were staying with friends - the kind of friends who make sure you have everything you need and then give you space to enjoy vacation. I wish we would have had more time to enjoy the relaxing patio and take advantage of the well-stocked kitchen. We would definitely stay here again.

This place was amazing! It's well-appointed, decorated beautifully and comfortable. We felt immediately at home. Even though we'd never met the VRBO owner, it felt like we were visiting "Uncle Jack's house." The hosts were exceptional. They have thought of everything and then some:, including but not limited to: automatic icemaker; pots and pans; some pantry staples in the cupboards; two ways to make coffee; snacks on the counter; seltzer water in the fridge, etc.
The living room area is cozy but not cramped at all. It has a door that goes out onto an enclosed backyard area which is fenced in with a lovely seating area. The bathroom is clean and the towels were fluffy, soft, absorbant and sparkling white. The bathroom cabinet, like the kitchen, was stocked with some of those 'extra' things that one can forget to bring: razor; toothpaste; Q-tips; etc. They went over the top here, too, though. In the cabinet below the sink there was a magnified makeup mirror -- who does that? Another over-the-top perk: small lights that go on automatically on the stairs as you approach as well as ascend or descend them.
The bedroom was upstairs (this VRBO) has two levels. It was on the backside of the house, overlooking the garden area. The house is over 150 years old so the room itself was small but the furniture fit nicely and the room was not crowded. A nice touch: a power strip on each side of the bed so that electronics were easy to keep at hand during the night and also charge at the same time. The bed was really comfortable and the pillows on it were 'just right'.
A few things to be aware of that were NOT issues or challenges to me/us but might be so for others:
The unit has two levels. You walk in through a hallway to the back of the building. Their is a small adjoining hallway that takes you to the bedroom. The closet in the bedroom has ample hanging space and hangers but the closet has an upper and lower rack so there is no place to hang up any dresses.
The bedroom is the only room located on this main floor. The rest of the unit is located on the level below, accessed by a winding staircase that is fairly narrow. Only one person can traverse it at a time! And each step is unique in the height of the rise. The staircase was safe but one should exercise care while on it. Finally, the bathroom is on the bottom floor not off/adjoining the bedroom.
My ONLY complaint? It's too far away for us to go back regularly.

What can we say that hasn’t been said already? The reviews are accurate: neat, very clean, updated, comfortable, great location, and just an all-around great choice when visiting the Back Bay Area.
I’m not going to lie…we arrived during the heat wave that was sweeping (most) of the country. When I read that we’d have window a/c’s (in 98° weather), I was prepared for uncomfortable living and sleeping quarters for the first couple of days, (until the temps broke). It turned out to be a non-issue (and we even had to turn the a/c down). Very happy that we were comfortable.
Jack and Greg were wonderful hosts and their place is beautiful! We’ve rented many times, mostly with good results, but rarely do you find a rental with nicer details, plates/dishes, decorations and an added bonus of wine and snacks included in the rental. It really made it feel like you were staying, and welcome, in someone’s personal home.
Had a great visit. It was on a quiet, shaded street, with close proximity to just about everything. We arrived by train and had no car; most days we walked everywhere (sometimes >7 mi/day). But it’s a short distance from the Back Bay station for those needing a subway or train close by.
Wonderful place. And we loved the added info about the history of this place.

I should start with there are no negatives about this place. The location is fantastic, but tucked away so it's totally quiet, which you really appreciate when sitting in the gorgeous garden patio. "Well appointed" doesn't cover it. This place has everything and then some. Jack is a gracious and generous host. We were able to check in early and after a long day of travel, the wine and snacks in the fridge were a super bonus (as were the coffee, milk, yogurt and lemon cake the next day!). The lower level is naturally cool (worry not, AC available), which made a difference on the scorching hot days we were there. Having a washer/dryer was a real bonus. It's worth noting that the bed/bedding (and pillows!) were A++ comfortable. Would book again in a heartbeat.

Perfect Boston Location!
This was the BEST place we have ever stayed, by far. Our host, Jack, was so friendly and informative, meeting us personally at Check In. This location was walkable to everything in Boston plus near a T stop if you prefer. We love to walk so this was excellent for us!! The little touches will make you understand why this home away from home is so very special. The back patio was very enjoyable, the Queen bed super comfy, we slept like babies and had a perfect kitchen!! We will definitely be back when we visit our daughter ay Northeastern. Thank you for an awesome stay!!!!!!
