About this cottage rental
Nestled in Mendocino, this charming cottage for $230 per night is a great option for your next vacation. The Larkin Cottage is nestled amongst redwood trees just 3 minutes from the village of Mendocino. It is on the same property as the live-in owner's main residence. The cottage includes all the amenities of home. The kitchen is furnished with ample dishes and pots and pans should you decide not to enjoy the many wonderful restaurants in the area. A gas BBQ is located on the deck. The living room is equipped with a flat screen TV, DISH high definition service, WiFi, blue tooth dock for music on your phone or tablet, DVD player, and a DVD library of movies filmed in the area. The bedroom features a queen size Sleep Number bed outfitted in luxurious linens including a down comforter and plenty of fluffy pillows. Waiting for you outside are porch rockers, a private hot tub, and lush gardens. The Larkin Cottage property is abundant with beautiful flowers. Care has been taken to make sure that something is blooming every month of the year. The gazebo is a perfect spot for a small wedding. And, don't forget to use the swing near the playhouse!

We absolutely loved everything about the Larkin Cottage! It is just the right size for 2 people, and has all the comforts of home. Linda’s communication was thorough and timely. The location between Mendocino and Fort Bragg was ideal for our needs. We especially enjoyed the hot tub and cozy fireplace. What a great place to curl up and read one of the many books that Linda has available! We visit the coast several times each year, and we definitely plan to return to the cottage. Thank you, Linda!

The Larkin Cottage is a beautiful little gem. It is exactly as described, in excellent condition, very clean, and beautifully appointed. Every little detail is thought of. We honestly felt like we could stay there and just move in permanently. We met Linda and she was just delightful. I highly recommend this property in Mendocino, you will not be disappointed.

SO easy to check in and the cottage was adorable! Well appointed, clean and bright. Linda was attentive and so thoughtful with our welcome basket and brief check in on day one. Would absolutely recommend staying here. We look forward to returning in the future.

The Larkin Cottage was a perfect respite during our Pacific Coast vacation! It was cozy and warm after a day of sightseeing! Linda was very helpful with all of our questions. We enjoyed all of the material she made available in the cottage regarding restaurants, hikes, etc. We had our best dinner with views at Albion River Inn Restaurant, Mendocino Cafe, and Patterson’s Pub! We absolutely loved Mendocino! ❣️

It’s a cozy, lovely space. The host Linda has provided so many touches, among them fleece robes, a useful gift basket with snacks and wine, a special anniversary gift, tons of quality towels, many bed pillows of every loft, a kitchen with quality knives and all the basics. The hot tub was also a great perk! The location is just outside of town, just a couple of minutes away. It’s near highway one, but at night it is very quiet. This host has real pride of ownership. She provides everything possible for a nice stay.

The cottage was better than described. The bed was comfortable, the spa was clean & hot. There were plenty of linens and comfortable robes to sit on porch and enjoy the fresh ground coffee. The kitchen has everything you need. It was a great opportunity to unplug and reconnect with nature and each other.

The cottage is very well maintained, with comfortable furniture, lighting from its many windows, nicely stocked kitchen, gas fireplace, and accessible WiFi. Outside, the gardens are beautiful, the location is quiet and nicely accessible to Highway 1 and the town of Mendocino. This was our second stay. Perhaps there will be a third!

Our purpose in this trip was to flush the busy-ness of this year and get relaxed before Thanksgiving. This cottage was perfect for us. The warmth of the gas fireplace while we just read from the couch; the hot tub under the stars…perfect!
