My wife and I stayed here for several nights while visiting Charleston for our first time. Staying in this unit felt like we were staying in part of Charleston's history - tall ceilings, old brickwork, and crown molding but with all the modern comforts and conveniences. Unit was tastefully decorated and stocked with everything we could have wanted and more.
Being on Broad St was a great central location for walking all over downtown from the Battery to the Market to King Street shopping. Unit is located on the second floor with stairway access to Broad. Jake's coffee shop and market next door and Blind Tiger pub diagonally across the street.
The Jacobsons were excellent hosts - offered advice ahead of time on things to see, communicated well for an easy check in, and reached out during our stay.
We have no hesitations to stay here again!

The space was just as advertised and the perfect amount of space for my husband and I on our stay. The two downsides we found were the shower was quite small and dark (no light above you) and the external stairs when it was rainy. Both things had been brought up on other reviews and weren’t surprises. We would definitely book the space again and felt it was the perfect location. You can hear sounds from the other tenants around you and the street noise, but we always expect that when staying in a historic space and downtown area! Overall, the space was as advertised and didn’t feel cramped. The layout they have figured out for the “L” shaped space worked very well.

Walking distance of everything we wanted to see and do including Parade of Boats. I was part of a group that rented the larger two bedroom unit next door so had access to comfortable seating and full kitchen which was ideal. Appreciated the detailed instructions from Jan especially unloading the car when we first arrived. Very pleasant experience.

Located in the heart of downtown Charleston, this historic location was a perfect place for one or two people looking for an unconventional place to stay. It had what we needed for a long weekend: comfy bed, mini-fridge, bath/shower, sitting room and dinette table w/view of Broad Street. We loved it, highly recommend to single or couple who do not mind street sounds. Quiet by midnight, though. Parking required some creativity, but that’s expected in a downtown location.

The room was spacious and clean. The only issue is that it is very bright at night. The drapes do not cover the windows and there is a very bright light outside the window. There is also a lot of street noise. The location is great and the owners were very nice and helpful.

The title says it all. Great little place for heading out to explore the best of Charleston.

Loved our stay and location. It was so much fun staying directly downtown so we could just get out & walk to wherever we pleased. Our room had a Coffee Pot with supplied Coffee which was a very nice, unexpected plus. Our room was very clean..Just Perfect!

The room was beautiful! It was a little tricky climbing the rod iron stairs with luggage. We had a great time in Charleston. Jan was very accommodating when making our reservation. I hope to visit again in a few years!

A fantastic getaway for two. Truly in the heart of Historic Charleston. The property owners were great. We could not have asked for better accommodations.

It’s a great simple place for two people to stay for the weekend/long weekend. Had everything we needed and the location, right in the heart of Charleston was perfect. The owners are close by and can address any issue that may come up. Couldn’t recommend more.

Property is a great location to walk to Rainbow row and other historic sites and tons of restaurants and even a small deli/ market on 1st floor. We loved the architecture of the building and large windows. The hosts were prompt with replies and questions. Would definitely stay again.

Excellent location! Within walking distance to many attractions. Owners were EXTREMELY friendly. Place looked exactly as the listing online. Only downside is the garbage trucks that run at 6 AM everyday. We would definitely stay in this place again!!

What a cute place! And it was within walking distance of everything we wanted to see and do. The listing was very accurate. Make sure you are okay with some city sounds at night and stairs to go up to the unit. It’s all part of the unique city experience. It was a great stay over all.

Absolutely loved our stay at this apartment. Very comfy and cozy. Located in a beautiful area with easy access to all one would expect to see in Charleston. Having Jake’s market below the apartment was a nice perk. Hope to return to Charleston again someday and if so, would gladly stay at this location again!

This is an ideal location to enjoy historic, downtown Charleston. It is close to many wonderful restaurants, to the harbor, and to downtown activities. It is also a very comfortable place to stay. Loved our time in Charleston.

This apartment is situated in the very heart of historic Charleston. We spent an enjoyable week exploring on foot. The property was clean and well laid out for a couple. Jan, our host, provided all the necessary information we required to make the most of our stay. Jakes deli, which is situated directly below the apartment, was our go to stop for breakfast and occasional takeaway lunch. Highly recommended.

Great location! Small apartment style studio that we really came to love

Check in process was very easy and parking directions were clear. I’ve stayed in Charleston before and did not rent a car but this time we did rent a car. There is so much to see outside of downtown Charleston so we were glad not to rely on Uber, Lyft, etc.
French quarter is my favorite part of the city so this place had lots of stuff in walking distance as well.
Rental was well stocked with everything we could have needed. Will stay again if we decide to visit the area in the future.

The location is perfect, parked car in garage a block away and walked everywhere. The apartment is beautiful and the pictures are accurate.

It was a nice studio apartment within walking distance of all the beautiful historic buildings, restaurants, etc.
The one and only downside was that at night it can be noisy. There is a white noise machine in the apartment- but if you are a light sleeper it might not be the place for you. Otherwise a great spot to stay.

We have stayed here twice. Very convenient to everything. Jakes bakery is right below us. Oak Steakhouse is two steps to right once you descend stairs.

Great location. Comfortable bed. Good communication with host. There was garbage pick up between 5-6:00 a.m. every morning except one. Was very loud. Walls are super thin. Could hear other parties conversations.

Fabulous location with easy access. More "homey" and private than a hotel room. Owners were easy to access and quick to reply with an internet question. No issues whatsoever. Will definitely mark this one for future stays and recommend it to others.

We loved our stay in the Jacobson Building, and the apartment was extremely well equipped with all the essentials. King bed was very comfortable. Steps away from Rainbow Row and the waterfront, and so nice to be able to walk to dozens of elegant restaurants at night. For longer distances such as Kiawah Island and Magnolia Plantation we used Ubers, and all drivers were very friendly and informative. There is a bit of street noise, as one would expect in any city, but the city’s noise ordinance kept it to a minimum. We will most definitely return!

This was the perfect place for my husband and I to stay while visiting Charleston. Everything was within walking distance, food, galleries, entertainment, etc. Being in the city, it was fairly quiet, usual city noise, but nothing crazy. The place was clean and well kept. Definitely recommend to couples.

We loved the location and coziness of our little bungalow. I would suggest explaining the way to lock the door a little better and maybe more detailed instructions on parking. It was confusing. Also we had to open the windows on our first day bc cleaning product smell was super strong. Other than that it was great!

My girlfriend and I rented this place for the weekend and we could not have enjoyed our time more. Everything was gorgeous and the place expertly cared for. We Would stay again I cannot rate it highly enough. Thank you to the hosts, we truly appreciate it.

We loved our stay on Broad Street. We parked the car and didn’t need it again. The host was helpful and responsive to any questions.
Highly recommend this spot! Be sure to eat at the market downstairs- delicious food served by a delightful family.

We had a wonderful time at the flat. It was centrally located to many Charleston places of interest. The facility was easy to find, accessible, and our host answered my call immediately when I had a question. Can’t say enough about how great the experience was.

My wife and I traveled to SC from Michigan to celebrate her birthday. The location was incredible, just a few blocks from the coast, rainbow row, and numerous bars/restaurants. The check in/out process was seamless and the rental was very clean and tidy. Highly recommend!

Right in the heart of the historic district and easy walking to see all of the downtown city and riverfront. Could stay for a year and not visit all the restaurants, pubs and bars. Very very historic. Hosts provided all the necessities.
