Comfy, but a bit of a public transit commute to the historic district

The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was good. We asked for a quiet room and got one!

The shower slider door only closed about 3/4 of the way. The toilet would run unless you pulled up the handle. We mentioned this to the front desk twice and it was never fixed. When we mentioned it the second time, the front desk told us it was fixed. Wrong. Also, the Saturday night clerk needs to learn about the area. We arrived hungry at 10:30 pm (had no dinner) and were told nothing nearby was open. Later we walked to a nearby KFC/Taco Bell and learned both it and the McDonalds were open until at least midnight.

I loved the staff

Parking was very limited and it was paid. Didn't love that but everything else was so great about this place. That little food store in the lobby was also really convenient. You could just stroll to Publix and McDonalds! And KFC was also within short walking distance. The availability of microwave ovens and refrigerators in the rooms was so nice.

Pleasant stay, but wish I’d been informed of extra charge when I called a week in advance.

The breakfast was very good. The parking fee was reasonable at $10 per day. The location was ok for us as we like to walk. It was about 2 miles from historic area of old Charleston. Some people will find it too far too walk.

We traveled with pets and booked a pet-friendly room and called ahead to make certain the pets would be welcomed. We were not told of extra $100 dollar per night upcharge for pet until we checked out. I think this info should have been in booking site or shared when I called in advance. I do think the fee is excessive as it inflated price by 30%.

I am disappointed in your organization because of some deception that took place. When I booked the room the charge was quoted in the neighborhood of $460, including taxes and fees. The amount I was charged was $100 more than the quote. Why would that happen? On the surface it is a bait and switch. Rob Walters

Overpriced, in need of better cleaning, no vending & in need of more parking.

Location

No parking at actual hotel, had to park in a garage across the street, & walk back to hotel. Bathroom could have been more clean. Hallway smelled very musty. There was no vending & charging outrageous price in their “store” for everyday items, ex $4 for a coke.

It has everything I needed there

The air quality on my floor wasn’t the best. It had a specific smell, like if the carpet was wet all the time. I’m not sure what was cause of that smell, but it felt pretty strong and unusual. However, it was no strange smell in the lobby or anywhere else on the 1st floor.

Would not stay again, overpriced.

Central location. Beaches weren’t too far, in the heart of the city and close to suburbans.

Sheets were dirty, hairs and stains. Our room wasn’t cleaned once while we were there. Room quality was cheap. Outdated television.

Close enough to downtown without paying downtown rates

Good location, clean room. Walking distance to some good restaurant options and grocery store.

Breakfast was average. The person working the breakfast shift was unfriendly and had to be asked to replenish empty serving dishes and yogurts. She showed no interest in what she was doing.

The price was good, but I would not visit the this hotel again

The location was good, staff was friendly, and the rooms were clean.

Air conditioning made the room, cold, and damp. Had to switch rooms because the bedding was damp. The second room was better, but still slightly damp.

Waaaaaaaay overpriced, nothing is walking distance.

Bed was super comfy.

Room was 55 degrees when we arrived 7/24/23 Bathroom floor stayed wet the whole stay, not due to shower or toilet. We used our bath towels and it drenched them. Door was super difficult to shut. Parking is extra $10 a night. Only had bottled soap when I am allergic to. Almost fell multiple times due to the wet floor, in July, the bathroom floor was prob 60 degrees.

I booked a 2 bed room and got a king. Dog hair on the sheets. Understaffed first night. Nobody was at the desk. Waited 10-15 minutes. Parking is horrible. Deck across the street not convenient for luggage or the storms.

front desk staff upon arrival was disengaged and fairly unpleasant. Self serve beer taps in lobby didn’t work. my room was on the first floor, right off the lobby and right near service closets so there was a lot of traffic with staff getting things in and out of closets and just general traffic of guests. It felt very busy and noisy and was unfortunately the opposite of a peaceful overnight stay. There was a demolished/dilapidated shell of a building right behind the property that was a gross eyesore. Location, while listed as “downtown”, Charleston, is in an unattractive area, and not particularly close to downtown attractions

Decent hotel, but probably won’t stay again in the future.

Nice selection at breakfast. Room seemed clean. Only breakfast staff seemed interested in assuring guests were taken care of. Staff at front desk did allow us to check in early.

Hotel itself was worn out and it showed. The first room we were given was very humid and had an odor in it that was intolerable, so we had to request another room. The hotel staff wasn’t very friendly with the exception of those working in the breakfast area. A charge for hotel parking was not advertised when booking the room, but was required for checking in.

We are not returning !

They not follow any previous request made months ahead. The showers don't a seal the door slide open when you in the middle of the shower and the whole floor is a pool when u get out, toilet doesn't work well. Our stay was disappointing. We are not returning to this location ever!

The hotel was okay for the money, just make sure to not get a conjoined room.

The bedding was clean and comfortable. The staff was really nice.

They have conjoining rooms. The people in the other room would not be quite. Their loudness woke us up around 2:15. I called the front desk and it took 4 tries before someone answered.
