About this apartment rental
About an hour and fifteen minute drive from Miami International Airport and about 90 minutes from Ft. Lauderdale to will bring you to Islamorada, the 'Fishing Capital of the World.' Our condo is a fourth floor oceanfront paradise. It is well off the busy highway where you will not hear any noise. This art deco style condo building was built in the mid 70's, and has been very well maintained. There is private covered parking for two vehicles. The huge private screened-in and balcony will let you view, hear, smell, and feel the turquoise ocean breeze only a few feet away. Watch the fishing and dive boats head out of Tavernier Creek. Sometimes you can even see brightly lit cruise ships at night headed to Key West and beyond. Each bedroom and family room opens to this large balcony where you can watch the sun rise each morning with your morning coffee and have cooling afternoon shade. The condo and balcony have total privacy. It's 100% ocean view from every room! It has newer AC, new bedding and bedspreads, cable tv in all rooms, and 46 and 40 inch flat screen TVs. WIFI is in the condo and in the office. All rooms have been recently painted and both bathrooms are brand new. It is all tile throughout, there is a full kitchen complete with utensils, and all appliances. There are two bedrooms with new king and queen size beds. The master bedroom has an ensuite newly remodeled bathroom with a beautifully remodeled and enlarged tiled shower with seat. Swim in a beautiful heated pool overlooking the ocean, fish or kayak outside your door. Conveniently located near restaurants, shopping, fishing, diving, boat and kayak rentals etc. There is a grocery store, liquor store, dollar store, movie theatre, sports bar, Post Office, and more all at the local shopping center just down the road. Within short driving distances are the famous Pennecamp State Park, Everglades National Park, Bird Sanctuary, and the Dolphin Research Center where you can swim with the dolphins. Key West makes for a nice day trip for lunch and exploring Duval Street, Margaritaville, art stores, museums, and is located about 90 minutes south on the most scenic highway route including the famous 7 mile bridge. We have been coming to this place for 40 years for its location to everything, and did I mention the view? :) #24-284

The unit is close to the elevator and laundry room. Comfortable beds, large balcony with beautiful water view; Nice pool. Friendly residents with occasional group functions. Located near many good restaurants. The owner was very responsive to all calls and requests. Enjoyed our two-week vacation at Sea Gull Condominium.

The condo was beautiful; the location and views were fantastic; the saltwater pool was a highlight; the condo had all necessities and as described. The screened balcony and the views were awesome. The owner was super helpful and immediately answered all questions and was available during the check-in process :)

Plusses: nice ocean view, common facilities of complex are recently renovated and very nice
Minusses: all the dishes were gritty and needed washed perhaps because no dishwasher tabs were provided, mattresses are worn out and uncomfortable, kitchen and bathrooms very dated cumbersome check-in process that is split between owner and condo association.
Location: there isn't much going on in Tanverier, but if you want to hit Miami, Key West, and the Everglades, it is centrally located.
