Situated in Trinidad, this attractive house for $425 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. * Guest reserving home must be 25 years or older, be staying at the property the entire time and will be considered the responsible party for this booking. Sorry but this is not a pet friendly home, no exceptions. * New lower rate discounted $100 off per night makes this large, ocean view home with 4 beds just steps from the beach one of the best values in downtown. Sleeps 6 adults or up to 8 with two children 12 and under w/ 3 bedrooms plus a den & 3 bathrooms. Boasting both ocean & bay views of Trinidad Harbor and State Beach, this custom, contemporary home has vaulted ceilings, amazing artwork, and comfortable furnishings throughout. It is the perfect getaway for a large family gathering, 3 couples or a group of friends. This home is located in downtown Trinidad, and has the convenience of being located within a block to beaches and great Trinidad hiking trails. Enter on lower level which has one bedroom with a queen bed and a full bathroom with shower. The upstairs includes living and dining room, kitchen, two bedrooms, a sun-room w/ a Queen futon bed and two more bathrooms. The upstairs living/dining room offers an open floor plan that makes for easy entertainment. Cozy up by the gas fireplace while sitting inside watching the seascape all around or watch a movie on the large flat-screen T.V. Grill dinner on the propane barbecue and enjoy cocktails on the deck. Watch the sunset over the ocean while dining outside at the bistro table and chairs. The main suite offers a king bed, private balcony and main bathroom with shower and large bathtub. All of the bedrooms and sun-room have ocean views. The 3rd bathroom is just across the hall from these bedrooms and has a great walk-in shower. Sunset Vista is filled with beautiful photographic art taken from around the world. Radiant floor heating keeps this house comfortably warm. Overall, we had a great experience. You were very responsive when we had questions about how to operate the fireplace and you responded quickly when the smoke detector needed a new battery. More coffee mugs are needed in the kitchen and if this place were mine, I would get rid of the tired wicker furniture in the master bedroom. The recliner in the living room has a handle sticking out from the cushion that caught a couple of us by surprise. The ocean views are wonderful and the location in town was great!

This home we would love to book again. The views were spectacular, you could see the ocean out of every single window in the house. We stayed w our kids and mother in law, the home was plenty large. There is a room and bath on a separate floor that gave my MIL privacy. The home was well stocked and easily walkable to the beach and town.

Excellent! Beautiful house. Cable tv did not work, that wasn't a big issue with any of us. Also weren't enough towels so we brought towels from home. Finally, we all had strange dreams on the last night of stay. Wierd! I loved having my morning coffee while sitting on the balcony watching the waves come in. What an incredible location

Trinidad is precious and this stay is very comfortable and offers extravagant views of the ocean both to the South and West. Walls are adorned with very large, but tasteful photographs by the owner. Only complaints: 1) TV and other technology are outdated, 2) the managers/owners haven't broken from the unfortunate norm in vacation rental industry of insisting the guest do a bunch of chores before they leave (in addition to paying a cleaning fee). I REALLY dislike that practice and encourage you to inquire about this policy before booking your stay (maybe they will change it).

Very nice house in a quiet neighborhood with amazing, almost 180 degree, views of the water. Family had a great time.
Some feedback: for the rate they are asking per night, it would have been nice to be able to check in before 4PM and not have to check out at 10AM without making a special request. The bushes need to be trimmed down as they almost completely block the ocean view from the middle bedroom. I would have also expected there to be newer/nicer cookware and utensils. Also, the lower bathroom could be upgraded. As others have mentioned, the carpet and hardwood flooring need a deep cleaning. Last, but not least, I don't remember the listing mentioning that part of the house was used as a separate live-in residence and that anyone from that residence had access into the rest of the house.
Overall, a very nice time, but for the price, I was expecting higher standards. This could be a spectacular rental with just a little effort. Thanks again.

We recently stayed in Trinidad and absolutely loved the house and the area! The house is comfortable and the views are beautiful. We loved sitting out on the balcony watching the sunsets. The house is tastefully decorated. The kitchen is well stocked with anything you would need to cook. We did notice several things that should be addressed to make the house even better (and have been noted in other’s reviews). There are very dark stains on the stairs just as you enter the house. This is something that can easily be taken care of but is very noticeable every time you go up the stairs. Since this is the first thing anyone sees, this really should be taken care of to make a better impression. The floors in the kitchen are very marked up, which we thought was interesting since you aren’t supposed to wear shoes in the house to keep things in pristine condition. These are only suggestions as our stay was absolutely fantastic and I would not hesitate to go there again or recommend this house to any of my friends. Thank you for a fantastic vacation spot.
One other note is that the master bathroom does not have a shower so you’ll have to use another bathroom to shower.

We had a family getaway here and the location and views are fantastic but the kitchen is stocked like a college sophomore’s hand me downs. I literally bent a knife trying to cut smoked salmon. If they updated their kitchen supplies this place would be A+. Without that there aren’t many places to eat in town and it’s tough to cook there.

We always go to Trinidad every year. This was the first time we rented a house in town. We loved the Sunset Vista house! It is so close to the beach and the Eatery! We loved being able to walk or ride our bikes to everything. The kitchen is very equipped with everything you need to cook. The beds are very comfortable also. All the decks have beautiful views of the ocean and sunsets. We will definitely come back to the sunset vista house! Next time it will be longer!

Great location. Well appointed house
Pictures of the house are accurate. The house is comfortable. Kitchen has adequate cooking supplies and dishes. There is one bedroom on the lower level (we only needed 3-bedrooms so we opted not to use the lower level, as it felt damp on that level). The upper level had a2-bedrooms and a den with a futon. Personally I’d have preferred the futon to be a real bed. The carpet on the stairs was stained, which could easily be addressed, and the recliner chair was broken; otherwise the house was in great shape.
The location is perfect. Trinidad is a lovely little town with several restaurants in walking distance. The beach is steps away and the views from the house were outstanding. It’s an easy drive to several State Parks and the National Redwood Forest.

Had a great time!
We really enjoyed our stay at this vrbo. Our favorite things were the location in Trinidad (nice views, close enough to easily walk to the beach and pier) and the working fireplace. The layout of the house was fun, too. We used all 3 bedrooms, along with the sunroom, which easily acts as a fourth bedroom. We would go back.

I have stayed at this home before. While this home is in a perfect location and has plenty of room for individuals to have privacy, the owners need to do a few updates. The floors in the kitchen have a lot of dark marks that need either cleaning or replace the flooring.
We found after arriving that there weren't any scissors or tissue. After calling Hope, we found a pair of scissors and 2 boxes of tissues on the front doorstep. There also were not many cooking supplies. There was a box of flaked salt, but not salt in the salt shaker and very little pepper in the pepper shaker (both were very dirty and needed to be cleaned).I would not say that this house was "well appointed" as we had the first time we rented it. The knives were dull and needed to be sharped. There were only 5 coffee mugs which meant we needed to wash and rewash coffee mugs. There was only shampoo in the master bathroom and no conditioner. Overall, the house needs to be gone through and supplied with tissue and some extra soap. We ran out of dish soap the last day. There wasn't any extra under the sink. The light green carpet is starting to look a bit worn. Also, the glass on the fireplace was very dirty.
There needs to be a note that you have your own garbage collectors. We were confused by the notes in the book. We ran out of room in the garbage can after only putting on bag of garbage in the container.
Also, the bottom door lock did not work. We never were able to use it to enter, because it would not open.
