An amazing location, just five minute walk to Canyon Lodge. Jonathan was very quick to respond to any questions that I had and made check in/out instructions very clear.
3.0
Pros:
-Walking distance to Canyon Lodge
-Very responsive host
-Resident/Guest parking right in front of building
Cons:
-Bed was extremely uncomfortable and warped (likely due to wear). Both my partner and I did not get any quality sleep
-Bedding was also dated and not very clean (found tons of lint, pilling, and random wood chippings on all layers of bedding)
-Towels felt old, edges were pilling, scent not fresh
-Trash from previous stay was visible around the unit (leftover coffee grinds, baby pacifier and blanket under the bed, uncleaned pans in the kitchen cabinets)
Overall, the unit is habitable and is convenient if you're looking to stay near Canyon Lodge. If you stay here, I would recommend bringing your own bedding and towels. The owner mentioned that there should've been a new bed, bedding, towels, so future stays may include that, but YMMV. For the price we paid, the unit felt very old and lacked the cleanliness I expected.

We checked out from another unit in the same complex and checked in the unit. We only received one hand towel, no bath mat, no tissue and no extra toilet paper roll other than the one in use already. It will be nice to have hand towels for number of stayed guests, in our case 4 people. Since another unit provided us the items I listed above, we expected them to be there. Fire matches were out. By adding a few items, this place will be great! Communication with the owner was very smooth.

I was mainly using this as a place to keep my things and sleep while I explored the area. It was a fine rental with plenty of room for 3-4 people. The humidifier is a really nice bonus for anyone who isn't acclimated to the dry air at that altitude. It could have been a little cleaner (there were cobwebs along the ceiling, the carpet was stained, and there was ceiling damage), but nothing too bothersome. It was great for what I was using it for, and would stay there again.

We stayed here when there were mountains of snow everywhere was magical. Hard to find the condo at first because was buried under snow but the crew did a good job. Had everything we needed to enjoy the mountain and relax.

If you just want a roof over your head, this is a great place, walking distance to CYN lodge. Ground floor is nice, hot tube is nice. Unit is properly furnished. Parking was easy in the complex.
Now the bad: mattress is old and fairly soft, sinks toward the middle. Cobwebs in various places of unit. Walls (and ceiling walls) are extremely thin. We were woken up repeatedly throughout the night by neighbors. When the folks above us started walking around at 6am in the morning, there was no going back to sleep.

Great location, good amount of space for 4. Very plain. TV in room is very old. Remote in living room was missing. Kitchen well stocked. Parking was an issue for the second car because there wasn’t a parking permit available and got a parking violation sticker (very hard to get off). It’s a good condo, but I’ve been in several other in the same complex better prepared for guests. Needs a few upgrades and more details to make it a better stay.

Condo was nice and clean. Master bed is very comfortable. Bottom floor unit very convenient. Only issues where that there was no fire starter provided ( had to make a trip to the store for that) and there was only one match in the matchbox provided, and the lighter was empty of fluid, so that was kind of a bummer getting a fire started. The remote controls were all very low battery (almost dead with no replacements available) so controlling t.v. was tricky. Could be beneficial to offer more than one extra blanket for the winter months (Luckily I brought some from home). Other than those issues which are kind of minor, this condo is in a great location with only steps to Canyon lodge and the unit is right next to the entry door to complex and made it easy to get in and out. The Recreation room at the Chamonix is very nice I'd only recommend they supply ping pong balls and foos ball balls so that those games can be played. Thank you for sharing your condo with us.

Had an awesome time snowboarding in Mammoth. The property was nice and clean and the short walk to the lifts was fantastic. Jonathan communicated with us every step of the way, providing weather and other updates as he got news of them which was much appreciated given the storms rolling through. Will definitely plan another trip in the future and would stay again!

Nice & cozy for a small family of 4. We enjoyed our time and walking distance to the slope and town. Having access to the hot tub and a sauna was perk. It was perfect for our first visit to Mammoth and certainly not the last. Thank you for sharing your place.

Mammoth Lakes Rental
We really enjoyed our stay at this property and the owner was awesome to deal with. The property was just what we needed for our stay. It has been well maintained and was very clean. The only reason we didn’t put 5 stars for cleanliness is that the non-carpeted floor could have used a mop and the only reason we noticed at all is because we have a little one crawling around on the floor and she ended up with dark little hands and feet.
Overall we were very satisfied with the rental and could see this being a great place to stay for the ski season as well.

Perfect 1-king bedroom condo with enough room in the living room for either the pull-out couch or camping pads & sleeping bags (for teens) on the floor. The kitchen is well stocked, better than other rentals. Comfortable, clean, everything you need and nothing you don't. Plus, there's an outdoor community hot tub. We can't wait to come back next season!

We really enjoyed our stay. It’s just about the best location you could have - just one building over from the Canyon Lodge parking lot. Super convenient.. Not lavish, but clean and modern, nicely updated, and outfitted with everything you’ll need. The unique ski rack was really convenient, as was the boot rack/warmer. My ONE issue, I think the owners should consider adding one additional comfortable living room chair and perhaps an ottoman (somewhere to rest your feet after a long day on the mountain). There were just two of us and it’s true the sofa is over-sized and very comfortable, but given that the unit sleeps 2-4, I feel the seating (a single sofa) would be inadequate for more than two individuals. Also, another reviewer suggested perhaps considering sheers on the windows (in addition to the room darkening curtains). This would be a small added touch so you felt more comfortable opening the curtains (as the unit is ground level). That said, the snow was so high certainly no one is looking in, but that might feel different in summer?! The king bed was very comfortable, as well. Oh, and the unit’s proximity to the pool/hot tubs is ideal. We had a great stay and will definitely recommend to others - hope to be back!

We had a great time. It was close to the lifts at canyon lodge, and plenty of room inside to cook, eat, and play games at the table. Boot warner was a life saver!

The place is overpriced. I would probably give it a 4-star rating if we paid much less than we did, and yes, we should have known better because the pictures are EXACTLY what you get. Our problem is that we were suckered by all the glowing reviews.
We were here 11 nights and would not recommend this place, maybe if you were here for the weekend and all you wanted was a ski shack then this place is perfect.
Pros:
- 5-minute walk to Canyon lifts
- It is renovated - kitchen is new, tile in the bathtub/shower is new, and new linoleum floors
Cons:
- Dirty - there was a pan that still had food on it that was put away! Gross.
- Very uncomfortable. There is just a couch, a table and 4 chairs and that is it. Who cannot even bother to get a coffee table or another chair? Definitely not cozy, warm, or inviting.
- The lamps are cheap, wobbly and bent. When I turned on one of them, it popped and then smoked. I unplugged it.
- LOUD. You can hear the people above you walking around. It is crazy how loud it is and they are just walking. Try going to bed when all you can hear is the creaking of footsteps.
- LOUD. The unit is surrounded on 3 sides by the outside, the entrance, and the hallway, so you get to hear every conversation.
- The bed is uncomfortable. They have a memory foam on the mattress with some sort of heating mat under the sheets that is annoying.
- While the kitchen is “stocked”, it is stocked with an assortment of pots and pans that are thrown under the counter. Not really usable unless all you plan to do is cook Spaghetti.
- BEWARE! One of the drawers that has a bunch of kitchen utensils, like the wine opener, also has about a half dozen lose kitchen knives, and yes, I cut myself, and NO there is no first aid kit or Band-Aids.
- There are no windows, just a sliding door and they do not have any shear window dressing, only a blackout curtain so everyone outside gets to see you up close an personal. Close the curtain and this “Cozy” place becomes a dark cave.
- They couldn’t even bother to have a cheap 12 cup coffee maker – instead, there is a crappy 5 cup coffee maker like you find in cheap motels.
- There are NO basic staples in the kitchen. Every VRBO and Airbnb that we have rented has at least the basics in their kitchen: salt, pepper, cooking oils, food storage bags, aluminum foil, or saran wrap - not here, so plan to buy EVERYTHING you need even if you are just cooking for a couple of nights.

It’s not bad. Was dirty though. A bunch of white crumbs all over couch when arriving and had to vacuum. Oven had burnt food all over bottom and had to clean. The toilet lid hardware came flying off during first use, and towel holder too after washing hands. Was a very bad start. The place is managed on site and was fixed quick tho. Otherwise ok for a crash pad but not really nice. We did see a bear and cub go through an on-site dumpster at night tho which kinda exciting.
