By the Rome Colosseum Vacation Rental you can find shops, supermarkets, restaurants, pizzerias, pubs, laundry services, etc. The area is safe and it is efficiently served by public transport: Line A (Manzoni station) and Line B (Colosseo station) of the underground, buses and trams to everywhere. The building is watched by a doorman who lives inside. Minimum stay depends on the season and it may very from 1 to 7 nights. A comfortable apartment...very close to the Coliseum...but the difference is the EXCELLENT property manager, Paolo! He defines customer centric service...from pre arrival communication to arranging for airport transfers...to meeting us for an early check in he was one of the best we have encountered - He has a number of apartments...if you don't like this one check out his other options! Our stay at this location was ok. Paolo was very helpful during our stay. The apartment is very old, and several times during our stay there were very strong sewage smells. We needed to keep all the windows open to help keep this down. I would advise the owner of this apartment to put a non-slip coating on the floor of the bigger shower since it becomes very slippery when showering. The elevator is very small and only two people can go up or down at a time; henceforth if you have a large amount of luggage with you it takes quite a while to get it downstairs. Location was pretty far from everything except for the Colosseum.

The apartment was in the perfect spot, within walking distance to many sites and bus stops. We were a family of 6 and had lots of space! The kids loved the lift bedroom.
If we are ever back in Rome we will 100% stay here again.

Nice and clean, 3 big bedrooms with 2 bathrooms. (Water pressure a little lower but not unexpected. Pretty much everything we needed like spices and coffee etc although we cooked out a lot. A great lift to bring you up and down. A few steps inside the door. Little shampoos and soaps etc.. not too much to buy. Located close to several small stores and a grocery store 1/2 block down. Also several nice restaurants very close within 3/10th of a mile, tops, more if you are willing to go 4/10 of mile the other direction. Eating dinner watching the sun set over the Coliseum was amazing. You can grab the metro or a cab and get across town to the Vatican easily. Paulo was amazing with custom maps with links and suggestions and helped us get taxis anywhere we needed to go. If your lucky you’ll get Max. Have fun!!!

Paolo was very helpful & accommodating from booking to throughout our stay. Answered all of our questions, greeted us at the unit and gave a full tour, offered suggestions for restaurants and activities. Just a great host. Unit itself was very comfortable. Location is within sight of the Colosseum (just a few short blocks away). We did not use the kitchen, but there was a place to get coffee and pastries a few doors down toward the Colosseum and many restaurants just a block or two away. We were a group of three couples and there was plenty of room for everyone.

The property is in an excellent location for a great Roman holiday. There is only a 5 block walk to the coliseum, which is an easy place for orienting to the many other interesting sites and neighborhoods of Rome. The owner and his people at the property are friendly and good to work with.

Great place, cold AC
We stayed in July and it was hot! But the AC worked well. Great communication with Paolo, he was able to set up transportation to the airport and from the train station. Very helpful for a family of Kansans. We were so close to the colosseum and were able to walk down to see it at night quite easily. There is a small store if you turn right out the front door and a bistro a block down if you turn left. Both were appreciated! Nice roomy flat with plenty of room for five adults to sleep and hang out between outings.

Great place; great host!
This apartment is accurately described and served us beautifully. We were on a 15 day trip through France and Italy, and this was our favorite apartment through the journey. Communication with the host was great. In addition, the host personally met us at the apartment, helped us get our bags upstairs, and is just an all around good person. He even has a map he has put together of some of his favorite places to eat, shop, etc. The location is great, too. The apartment is stocked with everything you would need. We 100% would rent this place again.

Hot water for no more than two showers, water pressure only sustained one shower at a time, dingy walls in desperate need of paint, mildew and peeling paint in the bathroom… some ungodly smell that we couldn’t get rid of after lighting candles and investing in several air fresheners. Also, very loud at all times of day(due to the original windows and location I’m sure).
To be transparent, the owner was EXTREMELY kind and helpful. Met us onsite for check in and even gave us a great overview of the city, what to see, etc. the property just needs updating and refreshing to make it a comfortable stay as the owner, location and layout are perfect.

It was lovely
The location was nice and very close to the colosseum and surroundings. The apartment provided Plenty of space for our group. Paolo was very communicative and ready to help whenever we needed it. Plenty of great places to eat all nearby and a friendly pharmacy when we needed our Covid test to go home. Checking in and out were easy. We would stay here again if we wanted this location in Rome!

We could not have had a better time in Rome. Paolo was a wonderful host and extremely easy to work with. Check in was a breeze. The apartment is spacious and very clean. The beds were very comfortable and each room has its own air conditioner which was very needed in Rome during late June. We could not have had a better time in Rome. Paolo was a wonderful host and extremely easy to work with. Check in was a breeze. The apartment is spacious and very clean. Rome visit
The property was just right for us. A couple, a friend and her adult son and daughter. Plenty of room and beds for all. The washer/dryer was a plus. We did not use the kitchen other than to heat some things in the microwave and make some coffee. The host is most thoughtful and helpful. There was coffee in the apartment along with soap for the dishwasher, washer dryer and for bathing. Little amenities that are thoughtful touches. There is a small book telling how everything works and suggesting some local things to do. The host is always available and helpful, couldn't be better. The only thing I suggest to improve is a bus map and schedule. There are multiple transportation options all around the apartment, but without familiarity you can spend a lot of time deciding how to get somewhere. Not a big problem until your chosen bus isn't running or breaks down! Not the responsibility of the apartment, but it will improve your stay to understand how to get back by public transport.

Amazing location
Our family of 6 recently stayed here and had a great time. Just steps from the Colosseum it was the perfect place to base our five days in Rome. We walked to every attraction and came back each evening to rest and relax in a spacious cool apartment. Paolo the owner was very helpful with restaurant suggestions and sights to see. He was just a message away anytime we needed a little help or advice. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to other groups/families.

Great stay in Rome at Paolo's apartment!
We stayed in Paolo's property for the first 3 nights of a 2 week Italian vacation. The property was as advertised and met our expectations. The kitchen is small but well stocked. Location was excellent and short walk to Colesseum as well as Basilicas San Giovanni and Santa Maria Maggiore. Via Meraluna nearby (5 min walk) is a beautiful street with many restaraunts, gelaterias, and markets for local Italian delicacies and this area was not very touristy and more a of a taste of local Roman life. I highly recommend trying Trattoria Vecchia - we had a wonderful dinner there on our last night (get there early as there is a line out the door for this place when it opens at 7pm)
Paolo arranged van transfer for us from Fiumicino airport when we arrived at 0745 in the morning for our group of 7 and it was only 75 euros (cheaper than taking Leo DaVinci express train into the city). He met us at the apartment and stored our luggage for us while the apartment was being cleaned and recommended a café to get breakfast and some local sites to see. He called us to let us know when the apartment was ready - which was earlier than the stated check-in time and this was much appreciated as we wanted to get in to rest after our long journey from the USA.
Paolo was a gracious and personable host and promptly available to help us with all aspects of our stay and this was much appreciated. I'd highly recommend staying with Paolo at one of his properties while in Rome!

Great Place for Family of 5
This property had plenty of room for 5, 3 adults and 2 kids. The location was really convenient and allowed us a short walk to the Colosseum and Forum. Paolo, the apartment manager, was extremely helpful in booking transfers and tours both before and after our stay. He really went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed for our stay. The only negative I could say is that the apartment could have been a little cleaner and some of the furniture is a little dated and in need of replacement. However, we enjoyed our stay and would consider staying here again if we returned to Rome.

Great location
We stayed in this unit for three nights in june 2019. Paolo met us for check in and was very friendly. He provided us with a map that had the highlights, and he explained how to get around. The unit is in a good location, close to the Colosseum, and has lots of good restaurants nearby. That said, the unit is very basic. It has everything as advertised and met our needs, but has no extra charming touches. The tiny shower in the master bathroom would be improved ever so much if the it had a small shelf for shampoo. I dropped a bar of soap in the shower, and there wasn’t enough room to bend over and retrieve it. The air conditioning worked well, as did the refrigerator. There was a minor plumbing issue in the main bathroom, and Paolo was very responsive in getting it fixed. It would have been helpful to have had a roll of paper towels in the unit when we arrived, but there was a market a couple of doors away. All in all, we were comfortable there and it served our needs.

Great location and apartment is comfortable!
We found the apartment very clean and neat. Beds were comfortable and our 4 yr old grand-daughter enjoyed the loft bedroom. The location was convenient to the Colloseum area and was nearby a Metro stop. Paolo was a great host. He met with us shortly after our arrival and gave us information about the city. He arranged transfers for us and our son’s family to the airport for our departure.
