Sitting area inside and outside. Room to roam in the garden. Go for a walk in the beautiful neighborhood. Start your stay with a complimentary hostess surprise! Believe me, you will sleep like a baby and wake up refreshed to start the day by exploring what Vancouver has to offer. Freshly renovated bedroom! Our 480 square feet Garden level space has a coffeemaker, microwave, and fridge plus a small cooking area, 1 bedroom with a queen size bed, and a living room with a queen size sleeper sofa, TV, and WIFI. Enjoy the quiet ambiance of one of Vancouver's loveliest and safest neighborhoods. Take advantage of the proximity to downtown, UBC, golf courses, fine restaurants, grocery stores, shops, and the long stretch of beaches. Shopping and bus stops in walking distance (2 Blocks away - Dunbar St. and McKenzie St.). Just steps away is the beautiful Balaclava Park with playgrounds, baseball, and soccer fields - just down the back lane. Situated minutes away you find the Pacific Spirit Park, a West Coast rainforest next to the city for walking or biking. You might also find your way down to Jericho Beach 10 minutes by car or walk along the seawall in Stanley Park to take in Vancouver's breathtaking views. We speak German and English and are more than happy to be your hosts! Always up for a chat but at the same time we respect your privacy. Easy communication, basic suite with hotplate, microwave and fridge. Access to a shared washer/dryer. Good for a night or two. Need a car but easy to get all over Vancouver. It isn’t actually in Kitsilano, but in the Dunbar area, Kits is about 15 blocks away.

We enjoyed our stay. The downstairs rental was cozy, clean, and our hosts even provided some chocolate and German sparkling wine. Sasha was responsive to communication, accommodating to requests such as adjusting check in/out times, and the unit had an well stocked small kitchen with coffee provided.
The only minor downsides we found were that some of the family's footsteps and voices could be heard in our bedroom (the unit is downstairs of the main house), but it was indeed minor, did not occur late into the night, and was not intrusive to our stay. The space felt very private and serene, and we had access to a lovely yard. We'd recommend it for any person or couple looking to stay in the upper Dunbar neighborhood of Vancouver.

We had all the conveniences necessary for a short stay. The accommodations are "cozy" and very quiet. One criticism would be the small bathroom mirror and lavatory set-up which is doable but not optimal. The owner appears to have taken great effort to provide for every need. It was an enjoyable stay.

Our stay at Sascha and her husband's lovely home was wonderful- the accommodations were very comfortable, and the backyard was lovely - it was a refreshing little oasis in the city, and yet close enough to everything. The little hammock swing was my favourite spot.
Three adults were able to stay quite comfortably, and we really appreciated the clear, responsive communication by the hosts (and the coffee and champagne waiting for us!)
Highly recommend - we will definitely be back!

The lower level dwelling unit that we stayed at really exceeded my expectations. The unit was as described, but the unit was much more spacious than the pictures suggest. Sascha was a wonderful host and even provided a small bottle of champagne to welcome us. The unit was very clean and you can tell that a lot of work has gone into the place to modernize much of the interior. All needed amenities were available including dishware for 4 people. I mistakenly left an item at the property and Sascha was willing to ship it to me, so a big THANK YOU to her. I'd love to stay here again if we visit Vancouver in the future.

The suite was comfortable and very well-equipped for our grandson, my husband and me. The garden was lovely and we enjoyed sitting in it for some meals. Our grandson loved playing with Luke the dog.

What a cute little apartment in the nice neighborhood of Dunbar. It's about 10 min from UBC - we drove to campus and walked around the little museums. Sascha was always available and kind - no issues. We parked our car - very safe - and took an Uber into downtown for convenience. No issues with an Uber coming to the apartment for pick-up. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful break here. The apartment is an oasis of calm and the location is very convenient for everything in Vancouver. Sascha was very welcoming and helpful; she is also a very talented artist with lovely artwork on the walls. We would love to come back again at some point!

We stood as a family at Saschas Place. The Apartment was nice and we enjoyed the little garden. Check in was easy and very friendly. There is a close by bus stop to city center. It is about an 45 min to get there with public transport.

Sascha and Robert’s apartment is the perfect spot for a family of four to use as a basecamp for a few days exploring Vancouver. The location is central and in a beautiful neighbourhood. Comfy beds and the small kitchen made us feel right at home. Also, kudos to Luke the superdog for being an awesome host. My kids miss him already. We hope to be lucky enough to come back one day.

From the day we booked to the day we checked out communication with Sascha was great, the rental is in a perfect location!. Vancouver is busy and very fast paced yet this location makes you feel like you are in a peaceful zen, from inside the rental, backyard, and the neighbourhood as a whole. Very close to downtown, Granville Island, Nat Bailey Stadium, etc.. yet just far away to offer the quiet peace we all seek!. My wife, son and I all fell in love with Sascha’s dog Flynn! He and I quickly became friends. Parking is plentiful and safe. The rental itself is clean, and had all the necessities needed to make a person comfortable- stocked kitchen , coffee, tea, shampoo/conditioner, comfortable bedding not to mention a bed that I wanted to take with me! 😴, conversations with Sascha and her husband/daughter were wonderful and it’s clear they have a happy home which is important. There was a big park about a minutes walk away where we played tons of baseball with our son and got exercise.. shopping and restaurants all close by. After a couple bad experiences renting condos in downtown Vancouver ran by a company for twice the price and no communication this place will now be our go to from here on out. Thank you Sascha and family for your hospitality and we will see you again soon!

Our stay was great. The option to use the garden made the stay very relaxing for us. In the kitchen were food and drinks, including prosecco and coffee! At this place vacation starts from the first moment. The host was very friendly and warm and gave us a lift to the beach. Thank you!

Quaint space to call home, very comfortable with all possible amenities. Didn't get time to sit and enjoy the beautiful backyard but wish I made time. Sascha was a consummate host. I will rebook when I'm back in town for sure!

I stayed 4 weeks here working remotely. It was perfect! The hosts are very welcoming. It’s close to an amazing bakery and grocery store. About 10 mins walk to anything you need and the bus lines. Beautiful neighborhood I highly recommend and hope to come back again next year!

Great property in a beautiful, quiet, walkable neighborhood! Close to all of the essentials ... groceries, coffee, the bus to downtown. Very smooth check in process with an extremely helpful host. We had a lovely week and would definitely stay again.
