Great quiet corner of Lake Tahoe in a wonderful wooded neighborhood. Best part was the coffee bar just down the road.

We love this area of Tahoe- the neighborhood is great for biking with kids and is quiet. The beds in the rental were very uncomfortable and loud. No of us got a good night sleep. There were stains on a lot of the upholstery and pillows. There is no privacy. There is no where to sit where you aren’t looking into someone else’s property. A lot of missed details- no sponges, old/dirty soap dish in bathroom, etc. I do not recommend this place.

We picked this house because we were visiting friends that have a vacation home around the corner. The home is perfect for a couple or small family. It had what we needed to make breakfast and dinner. There is a small sitting area outside and barbecue. We didn't use the barbecue. I recommend you do your grocery shopping before checking in. I wish there was a mop as the floors get pretty dusty from the outside walking in and out. The downside, in our opinion, is that there is another home on the property a little to close for our liking. It isn't a vacation rental it is a permanent residence and felt we were on their property. We did see a bear during our stay and noticed a couple of homes in the area where a bear, I believe, got into their trash.

Pictures misrepresent location on lot and size of rooms. The only view looks straight into neighbors house, so if you want any privacy you have to keep shades closed day/night. Kitchen stove/sink area very awkward. Bathroom smells very moldy and tiny shower nozzle so high I couldn’t reach to adjust. Door locks very difficult to open/close. Absolutely no rental instructions for guests….5 remotes with no guide on what and how to use tv,fan, dvd, etc. 10 unlabeled light switches you had to play with. For those guests who aren’t experts at computer use or can’t get reception,check-in was difficult as you had to navigate their complicated system. We had to leave earlier than hoped (Aug 5 instead of 10th) and still haven’t heard about refund even though we know they had rebooked 3 days

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Unfortunately my stay was not as great in this cabin. The bed was beyond horrible I slept on the couch not the bed but couch. The drains in bath were backing up. And there is a lovely garden window in the kitchen that the neighbors can look right into the bathroom. No privacy. The cabin needs a refresh, not as nice as we expected. It was just ok. Very musty smell didn’t go away with windows open. Kitchen cabinet door was hanging by a thread.

The experience was overall really nice, it’s a nice property for a couple or two friends if you are comfortable sleeping in one bed The grill came in very handy I do wish they had one of those “the lay around the land” guest books where they give suggestions of where to eat and where to go for scenic views (like eagle rock)
