About this house rental
Located in Russian River, this lovely house for $225 per night is a great choice for your next trip. This river front house is an architect-designed, beautifully remodelled, light, airy, private retreat with commanding views of the Russian River fading into hillsides of majestic redwoods. Amazing Deck with a high end NEW(9/12/21) HOT TUB with river views. The 3 bedroom and 2 full bath house is on the point, with a deck, yard, seasonal dock (late April to early November), and a terrific solarium for indoor relaxing. When not on the river you are one mile from Guerneville’s unique shops, eclectic restaurant scene, and nightlife with festivals, live music and theatre. Ask about bringing a well behaved dog. This well-appointed house offers three queen size beds and a couch with high quality bedding. There are two bathrooms with soft fluffy towels for every guest as well as beach towels. The kitchen is complete for casual to gourmet dining with glassware for wine and cocktails. The house has wireless and Smart Televisions. There is a seasonal floating dock that runs from late April to early November and is dependent on the Summer Dams and the river flow. Kayaks, Canoes, Stand up Paddle Board and inter-tubes are available for your use on the river. We warmly welcome respectful guests of all lifestyles and family set-ups! Your children are welcome though we hope you’ll help them be extra careful on the deck, dock, and around the river. We hope you enjoy your stay and return often! Please note we have a 7 person and 3 car maximum reserved parking directly in front of the house. This is a great party house but we have full-time neighbour-friends and late night parties will be reported. After 10 PM no amplified music will be allowed on the Deck. The cleaning fee is to remake beds, wash linens, towels, put dishes away, clean the bath, vacuum, dust, mop and replace any inventory that is used. Any parties leaving excessive dirty pots and pans or moving furniture or changing the layout of the house will charged extra in cleaning services. We stayed a week for a family getaway. Plenty of space, very clean and kitchen is fully stocked. Deck is nice with a big jacuzzi. Location is great. You feel away from it all but you are so close to town. Having our own private dock with the canoe, stand up paddleboard, kayak and floaties already on the dock for us was great.
The only small issue was the jacuzzi (which is right off the master bedroom) goes off and on all night. I'm assuming it's filtering itself but it was hard to get used to and we had no way of turning it off. Other than that everything was great.

The house is in a great location, overlooking the river and about a mile from Guerneville. We appreciated the kayaks, paddle boards and canoe available at the dock - enough for our party of 5 to all go out on the river together.
The house was spacious enough for our family/group. The large deck and view were wonderful - we enjoyed sitting in the hot tub, grilling and sipping wine out there. The host also responded quickly when we had questions about the house.
Some suggestions for improvement would be to update the kitchenware, sheets and towels and to clean the grill - it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a long time. Also, having 2 twin beds in one bedroom instead of a full-size bed in each bedroom could better accommodate groups and families (i.e. our teenage sons did not want to be in one room and one bed). I think the couch in the living room was advertised as a pull-out, but it is not. Overall, though we had a great vacation and wold return to this house, hoping that the minor improvements could be made!

Had a great time. The owners’ instructions were all clear and the house has all you need. We were a little disappointed that the dock wasn’t out yet since the listing indicated it should be by the time we visited but the east fix is just reaching out to the owners before your stay. There are plenty of other local access points to the River, too. Not really walkable to the town (since there aren’t sidewalks and it’s a windy road) but Guerneville is super close and accessible. Loved the sun porch and deck!

Other than a few household problems we had a very enjoyable stay. Some of the things the owner can look at are: there was only one extra blanket for all three bedrooms. Shower nozzle in the guest bath needs to be upgraded it did not work properly. Sliding screen doors very difficult to open either off the track or bent. Only one burner could be lit on the barbecue had to remove the grates and the shield to manually light the other four burners. The kitchen sink faucet is frozen in one position and cannot be swung side to side. Many of the games were missing parts and cards to the particular game. a four-day stay We we’re informed at the last minute, just before entry to the home that the washer did not work. This caused an inconvenience due to our four day stay. All in all we enjoyed our stay with exception of the few inconveniences that we had to deal with.

We came for Thanksgiving 2022 and had a relaxing stay. The house was located directly on the river and we were happy to find the dock still available this late in the season. The kitchen had everything we needed to make our Thanksgiving dinner. The beds were comfortable and the home had all the amenities necessary for a family of 4.

Home has a wonderful deck for river and star gazing and a beautiful new hot tub. We spent most of the time on the deck when not out floating on the river or tasting wine or walking through the redwoods. Conveniently located but quiet. Our 5 year old granddaughter loved the toys!

We had a wonderful tim..it was so relaxing and being able to sit out on the deck for coffee and then evening drinks was amazing.. so we’ll stocked..the kids had a wonderful time plating in the yard..too bad the weather was rainy and river so low but it did not stop them..thank you for one of our best!

Nice inside and deck. Not nice outside. Check in time not accurate. TVs don’t work- should not be in “amenities”. Owner never returned our call for assistance on day one. Not in five days! He knows his check in time isn’t accurate on Vrbo site and on his rental agreement. Doesn’t care.

Fantastic Stay on the River
The house and grounds were perfect for our family, which included an infant of 10 months. The house itself was exactly as advertised, it was well-maintained and close to town. We stayed in August, the weather was great, generally a high between 80 and 88 each day. We used the outdoor deck constantly, it provided a perfect relaxation spot with a nice river view after our midday activities (generally hikes or the beach - see below). You are literally right on the river when you stay here, which is a huge plus versus other rentals in the area that are 'near' the river but not right on it. It was super convenient walking downstairs to the dock for a quick swim in the river or for a longer kayak, paddleboard or canoe excursion, and you have no need to deal with parking / crowds around a public river beach. This house has everything you'll need for the river. There's also a fairly large rock in the middle of the river a quick kayak / paddleboard trip away, so if you have even semi-adventurous kids, they'll love climbing on the rock and jumping off of it multiple times.
We visited Armstrong Redwoods multiple times (less than 10 minutes away), and each time was fantastic. If you're an early riser, you can grab a coffee from one of the two local shops in town that open early and drive 5 minutes to Armstrong and walk through the Redwoods in the morning, which was amazing, you basically have the place to yourself (you can park in the lot just outside the visitor kiosk and walk in). The Pioneer/Discovery trails are great for those early morning walks, but they got fairly crowded during the middle parts of the day, so we opted for the East Ridge and Pool Ridge trails, which have many fewer people because they have some elevation gain (nothing too bad, good for a workout).
This property was also a great base for exploring the coast as we went into Sonoma Coast State Park several times. We explored the Kortum Trail, which is on a bluff and is mostly flat, and we went to Shell Beach, which is extremely beautiful with great sand that's not too sticky, interesting tide pools, and an overall great, peaceful vibe. We tried Goat Rock Beach as well, but it was incredibly windy when we went so we turned around and went back to Shell Beach.
We had no issues with the property or with our trip despite COVID, and with all the outdoor activities, it was easy to forget COVID even exists for awhile. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if we visit the area.

This was a beautiful spot for a family weekend. We really appreciated the kitchen because cooking & eating together are important components of a vacation for us. It would be good to review & update the info in the white binder - the instructions for garbage, particularly, were out of date & impossible to follow.

This home was beautiful, light and with good bedrooms and bathrooms. The kitchen was fairly well equipped. The deck was amazing with beautiful views of the river. However, be aware that this house sits on stilts and it is three flights of stairs to get to it!!! It was very difficult for 3 of our party to get inside.

Beautiful Get Away
This property was clean and comfortable with an amazing view of the Russian River and beyond. Plenty of room for a big family although it was just the two of us. Lots of water toys available. Grounds beautiful. We enjoyed the stars and the hot tub. The Sun Room was an added bonus. Modern appliances and plenty of games or books. TV’s the bedrooms but didn’t spend much time watching when the views and outdoors were so beautiful.

Cleanest place I’ve gotten through VRBO. Great location we’ll definitely be back for an earlier season stay to do some fishing.
