About this cabin rental
Situated in Arnold, this lovely cabin for $335 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. Our Creekside cabin is the perfect escape for those looking to relax with some old-school fun. Great for one large family or multiple families. The cabin sits on a beautiful tree-filled lot with Cowell Creek winding through it. Cross the creek and you are standing in the Stanislaus National Forest with miles and miles of beautiful hiking and mountain biking trails. Follow the creek back a quarter mile and you are at Lake Mont Pines. Relax by the fireplace in the living room and watch the snow fall through the floor-to-ceiling windows. Cook up a big pot of soup and pop some popcorn on the wood stove. Chill out in the bar and browse the 300+ vinyl collection (includes rock, jazz, classical, funk, blues). Fun for the kids includes a large collection of games, puzzles, toys, a piano, and costumes. Relax on one of the decks among the 200 ft tall trees while the kids play in the creek, explore the back yard, or put on a play - the backyard includes a stage complete with stage lights for evening performances. The two-story house has 5 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, a family room, rec room, bar, large kitchen, and two fire places. Appliances include a washer and dryer, dishwasher, microwave, double oven, and grill. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking and entertaining. The rental includes linens and towels, and free Wi-Fi. A canoe is stored at the lake during summer months. Plus you have full access to the Lake Mont Pines rec center, a private beach with free activities including kayaks, paddle boats, shuffle board, sand toys, beach volleyball, and ping pong tables. Free Lake Mont Pines summer activities include outdoor movie nights, sand castle contests, and arts and crafts. For winter fun we have sleds and snow shoes. The hill out the side door makes for great sledding, as do the fire roads across the creek. Maximum 14 guests, pets ok (with restrictions), no smoking.

This is our second stay at this cabin and the whole family loved it! Clean, comfortable, furnished well, and plenty of space for all the adults/kids. The kids loved the outdoor area (zip line, tire swing, and so much nature to explore!). We all especially love all the instruments and music they have, lots of family jams were had! Can’t recommend this spot enough and look forward to our next visit :)

The setting is beautiful. The house has a great layout with separate areas for people to spread out. It’s stocked with everything you need for outdoor fun. Our grandchildren loved the zip line and playing some of the many games that were available. Cell phone service is sketchy.

This location was everything I had hoped for and then some. The private community lake was absolutely the greatest part of it all. Walking distance from cabin and all the amenities where free. Great adventures for hiking right from cabin.

We celebrated my moms 60th here and it fit our 4 families perfectly. The house was filled with so many fun toys, musical instruments and amazing views. We would definitely recommend this home to others, and we’ll be back also!

My 30 plus family members held a pre Christmas reunion at a cabin our parents built for us at Lake Mont Pines. As one of seven children and our children we needed a large home to sleep 10 plus members and we found it here. Beautiful warm clean and well equipped place Thank you

My daughter likes to celebrate her birthday with family in a cabin every year. It's very hard to find a cabin thats wheelchair accessible. This house has some small steps to get in the cabin but I take my own ramps to help me get in and out. The host communication very fast and very helpful hope to be back soon .

We had an amazing stay in this cabin. Host allowed us early check in and departure. Kitchen has all supplies and spices you need and has a big table to sit a large group. We hiked Cougar Rock and Top of The World trails, and visited Mercer Caverns. Lake is just a few minutes away, and kids enjoyed kayaking. Next time we will stay longer than 4 days.

Had an amazing time at this cabin. There is so much for kids to do. We definitely want to go back next year! Our cabin host is wonderful If we had a question she answered right away day or night. My heart took a picture with my family and hopefully we will make another memory next year 😀,

Summertime Fun
This place is great for all the thing you can do. There is fishing, hiking, swimming, or just lounging and enjoying the gorgeous forest. The Stuff Shack and Snack Shack were pretty handy when the kids didn't want to leave to get lunch. Hot dogs all around!

Excellent stay!
It was great place for us and our 4 daughters, 2 spouses and 4 grandkids aged 6 months to 9 years old. We all had enough room to stay in our own rooms and not disturb the rest of the family. The views from the two decks were spectacular. The house was well equipped especially the kitchen for our group meals. The kids enjoyed the zip line and the hike to Cougar Rock. The neighborhood lake was fun for fishing, paddle boarding and kayaking. Great time, great memories and would love to return someday.

Great Family Fun
This is a wonderful property. It is close to the private Lake Monte Pine and has tons of hiking trails right behind the house. Our children love playing in the creek and on the zip line. They enjoy having their own space with the bunk room too. The setting is beautiful and it is nice and quiet. The host is super responsive if you have any questions. I will definitely be renting this place again.

Me and my party of 12 adults comfortably fit here. There are enough beds to acomadate 4 couples . The property itself has so much space to hangout at, we soent alot of time down in the bottom floor watching movies on the projector screen.

Family Fun!
This fantastic house has so much fun to offer. There are so many games, puzzles, and a whole chest of costumes plus the zipline, tire swing, and stage in the backyard. Then there's the lake. It's a short walk across the dam or you can take the canoe across or drive around to the community center parking. You can check out sand toys, various innertubes and floats, paddleboards, paddleboats, etc. My kids loved the sand castle contest where the story behind the castle was as important as building it.
The driveway starts with a steep downhill portion so if you are used to driving and parking in San Francisco you could get 6 cars there. The rest of us should have no more than 4.
The upstairs did get very warm in July but not unbearable.
Kirsten was very helpful and accommodating. She even messaged me to let me know that the housekeeping schedule allowed for a late check out even though we hadn't asked for one. We would love to come back some day!

We visited Mercer caves and the Big Trees… everything was so close. Had a fun talent show with a disco ball lighting the room…. Everyone loved it!
