Clean, LEGAL, 1 BDR with small deck near China Town\/Old Town Victoria
About this condo rental
Nestled in Victoria, this lovely condo for $90 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. License number 00035795 The Cityzen building is brand new, only a few years old and fuses history and modernity in the heart of Victoria’s Old Town. With amenities and attractions steps from your front door, this is the place to stay – from downtown cafés to waterfront walkways, there’s something for everyone. This one-bedroom condo is efficiently designed with 520 square feet and every square foot is maximized to increase the living space. Located in Victoria’s Old Town district, Cityzen is only a block from the waterfront and borders Canada’s oldest Chinatown. Walking the streets of Old Town takes you back in time to brick façades and the city’s culturally rich beginnings, while connecting you with the city’s most-loved downtown locales. There is parking available on the street and a parking lot available across the street. You can download the ParkVictoria App to make parking even easier. From expansive windows to a comfortable deck, this condo beckons the outdoors in. Urban-inspired, wide plank flooring, quartz countertops and stainless steel appliances add a contemporary feel, while heated tile flooring in the bathroom adds a touch of luxury to your everyday. Need to do laundry? Not an issue, there is a brand new washer and dryer located in the washroom with detergent available. To work or relax, there is a wall mounted 43 inch Roku TV with a host of channels. The Roku App will allow you to stream media and control the TV. There is also unlimited Wifi available at up to 150 Mbps for work, movie streaming or just googling. Parking does not come with this condo, but is available on the street and in nearby parking lots. Double-decker buses, afternoon tea, homes that look like castles, and pubs with names like the Sticky Wicket and the Penny Farthing... Victoria has long traded on its British affiliations. But while the fish-and-chips remain first class and summer cricket games still enliven Beacon Hill Park, the days when Victoria was more British than Britain are long gone. In Victoria 2.0, the food culture embraces fusion, the beer leans toward craft brews and the abundance of bicycles seems to have more in common with Holland than England. It's still one of the most British cities in North America, but there's more to Victoria than tearooms, antique shops and galleries (though there are plenty of those). Driven by the younger generation, the city has sprouted a collection of cool shops, authentic coffee bars and unique restaurants. It also has more cycling routes than any other Canadian city, providing a great way to explore the picturesque location (and avoid an afternoon of antique shopping). PLEASE NOTE: nearby construction may take place at sometime during your stay. We have not been provided with a schedule for this- it may happen during your stay, it may not. If you want more information, please send us an Inquiry message. By booking this listing, you are acknowledging that possible construction noise won't be an issue for you and that you understand that no discounts or refunds will be given for this reason. construction has finally started across the street, there could be noise during the day.

Paul and Takayo's home is absolutely beautiful! They have thought of all the important details to make your stay just like being at home.
They provide all the details in advance to make the entire process seamless and stress free. The decor is modern and comfortable, probably the most comfort bed I've ever slept in on vacation!
From beginning to end they have made everything simple and enjoyable. I will definitely look for this rental again on my next trip to Victoria.
Many thanks!!
The Branchflowers.

Very clean and modern place which does the trick if you want to visit downtown Victoria for a day. I feel like what you get with this condo for the location is amazing, easy walk wherever you want to go. I would for sure stay here again.

Bright & airy north-facing apartment. Super clean, relaxing decor. Fully equipped kitchen with basic food supplies and appliances. Great TV with basic apps we use. This looks like a shoes off place, we were glad we brought slippers.
Only caveat (which was ok with us). No air con yet. In the summer, Victoria Victoria has cool mornings and evenings, and a temperature can sometimes go up a little in the afternoon. We made sure to open the windows and balcony door in the evenings and early mornings. And then closed them before we went out. The apartment stayed at a comfortable temperature.
Steps away from lots of interesting places and restaurants. Street parking was always available in that location. When we wanted to ditch the car for a day our host recommended good parkades.
Terrific hosts. On our last night we found out our host at next reservation in Nanaimo had double booked for our beginning night. No room! This wonderful host went beyond expectations and asked his contacts if they had any openings. They are indeed Super Hosts!!

Very clean, modern unit close to Chinatown and the Harbour. It was everything we needed and the host was gracious and accommodating

The property is clean, well supplied, and well situated. The owners were prompt to answer one question I asked. Almost everything about it was great. The only thing that bothered me was the huge wooden bed frame in the small bedroom. I kept hitting my feet and legs on it. There’d be more room to move around the room if the huge frame was replaced with one that doesn’t stick out beyond the mattress. That said, I’d definitely stay at this property again, and I would highly recommend it to others.

Exactly as advertised. We did not have a car with us, so I might have missed whether there are suggestions about where on the street to park. Only a 10-15 min walk to the Victoria seaplane base. Lots of coffee shops and restaurants within a few minute walk.

Stay for 4, only one bed was there, there is no extra blankets or pillows
Also far from all attractions.

Everything we needed to having breakfast and lunch was in the kitchen. Very helpful. The location was good but we needed to have a vehicle for the various family activities we attended on the weekend. Parking in the area is not very user friendly. Having to physically move the car at the end of a 2 hour period was a pain. Certainly not the owners fault but those who come to stay need to be aware of the parking situation.
The accommodation would be perfect for 2 adjust be for 3 adults, we found the accommodation a bit small.

Everything was great, the place was as listed and very clean. Coffee pods supplied, shampoo as well.
Only drawback would be the view from the balcony , looks like it could be another condo built at some point, it’s a construction site now.
You can still see the small mountains in the distance to the north.

We planned a few nice days alone together in downtown Victoria. This property is in a central location, within walking distance of the tourist areas and inner harbor. The building is modern with clean, new amenities such as an in-unit washer and dryer, washing machine, Roku, smart tv
wireless vacuum, oven, electric stove, fridge, microwave, and Keurig. Heating is controlled in each room. In the bathroom, we were happily surprised by the heated flooring. It was a thoughtful luxury. Another nice surprise was the breakfast nook on the balcony accessible by the dining area. It was a joy to sit down for coffee with a view of Victoria.
Sleeping arrangements were well planned.
The bedroom and kitchen are separated by a door. The fold-out couch in the living room was comfortable. The linens were clean, white, and buttery soft. Pillows were perfect and in abundance.
The kitchen was stocked with everything needed to cook a meal and desserts, with more than enough cutlery and dishes. K-cups were provided for the Keurig.
Check in and check out were simplified and easy to manage. It's a very secure building, despite the downtown location which was appreciated. We felt safe at all times.
The hosts communicated everything timely and in detail.
Overall we enjoyed our quiet and relaxing stay and highly recommend the hosts.

I had to be in Victoria for a week for work. This apartment is in a good location, easy to get to, short walking distance to the core of downtown, and had everything I needed. The kitchen was well supplied with cookware. I was worried about parking, but the parkade is a 3 min walk away when there was no parking in front of the building.

Wow, we couldn’t have asked for a cleaner, cuter and more perfectly located place to stay. We will definitely be coming back and making this cute little apartment our home away from home in Victoria!

The apartment is exactly as described. It was very clean, the kitchen was fully equipped and having Netflix, Prime Video, Crave and Roku was a treat. The instructions for obtaining access to the property were spot on. There was a small issue with the thermostat in the living room upon our arrival, which was taken care of promptly by Paul. Having a washer and dryer in the apartment came in handy. The property is in a perfect location, close to restaurants, grocery stores, shops and local attractions. The last four days of our trip we rented a car and there were no issues in finding a parking spot on the street. Granted at certain hours it was paid parking but the rates were reasonable. The last thing I want to add is I really liked the heated floors in the bathroom. I would strongly recommend and would not hesitate on staying there again.

This place is NEXT LEVEL. I came to Victoria to spend time outdoors but this suite made me want to stay indoors. Lots of thoughtful details were included in the room, and the place was not just ordinary clean, it was JAPANESE CLEAN... yes, it's that clean... feels like the place was built just yesterday. The owners were friendly and were always checking to make sure I was comfortable. HIGHLY recommended.

Rented this property for my Sous Chef’s coming from Banff as part of the opening week of Block Kitchen + Bar on Yates Street. Place was perfectly located, clean, comfortable and well-appointed. Paul and Tayako are great hosts with excellent communication. Highly recommend!

The flat is located close to the centre of the action but out of the hubbub. It was clean, bright and airy. The furnishings are comfortable and the kitchen had all the materials we needed, including coffee. We would definitely stay there again should we come back to Victoria, which was a very nice city to visit. Go to Murchie’s for tea and muffins if you do!

Beautiful modern suite located in close proximity to shopping, restaurants and breweries. The hosts responded quickly to all my questions and was very courteous and friendly as well as interested in our well being and fun. We had an amazing chill time in Victoria and highly recommend this suite for its location, cleanliness and vibe. For future visitors, I highly recommend the Jam Cafe for breakfast or lunch. You will not regret. Brewery recommendations: Whistle Buoy and of course Phillips.

Very clean and comfortable apartment for two people. The walk to the harbour area is very pleasant .
Check-in is a little complicated so make sure you read the instructions carefully and have them in hand when you arrive. With the key fob supplied in the room, subsequent entries are easy.
Good place. Will use it again if we visit Victoria.
