Great great great stay at Alessandro’s place! Superb location which is walking distance to the centre of Siracusa and Ortigia. We really enjoyed breakfast at a few nearby cafes (vouchers provided by the property). The room was cozy, spacious and clean, and had all necessary amenities. Alessandro is the best host! He was very welcoming and saved us when we had an issue with our car :) We couldn’t be mode grateful.
We recommend choosing this property 100%.

Pretty, clean, modern accomodation. The facilities were all very nice and comfortable. It had good aircon, smart TV, nice bathrooms. 15 minute walk to Ortigia and close to the train station. Plenty of cafes and restaurants to choose from. The host was very professional and welcoming, he provided and excellent orientation and recommendations to the local area.

The room had air conditioning, was spacious with a large double bed
of reasonably comfort, a wardrobe for hanging clothes, one large and one small chair and a table along one wall. There was also a sofa that transformed into a pullout extendable bed. The bathroom was a good size with a shower, toilet and bidet.
The communal room contained a sandwich toaster (but no bread
toaster as such), a coffee machine, electric kettle and cups, glasses, plates and cutlery.
Our accommodation in Siracusa was in a reasonably quiet,
though not attractive part of Syracuse, consisting mainly of five
and six storey apartments. Our Unit was on the fourth floor accessible by lift. Our room contained a balcony with two chairs and a small table that looked out onto the street and the surrounding buildings. We had access to a shared communal fridge/ freezer (we were allocated one shelf for our items requiring refrigeration) . . . . there was no fridge in our room. There were no cooking facilities, tap or sink for washing in the communal room. Breakfast was included in the price and very basic, consisting of mainly of a croissant and coffee which was required to be taken at a nearby café.
It is worth noting that in these apartments, sounds such as people talking and moving chairs around seemed to create a
good deal of noise which could be heard from other rooms.
The group of units in the building were in reality flats that were
equipped with less than the normal basics. The level of security was difficult to understand, consisting of a key to the main H.D front door, another key to the access door on the floor of our apartment of our unit and another key to our unit. If you walked outside the unit with the keys inside you would find yourself locked out. The disappointing aspect of our time at the Prometeo Apt. was the accusation by the owner, that we had stained the black bench top in the community room (we have video evidence to prove that this is simply not true) and had removed a glass toothbrush holder (this accidently broke , we were prepared pay 20 Euros to replace the item but no more)
For these two items he made a demand for 400Euros which was quite unwarranted and ridiculous.
Ps Parking your car was a problem. If you managed to find a parking spot, you left your car there.
