Water Wheel H202 is a second-floor unit with stairs and an elevator that sits on a bluff along the Guadalupe River, offering plenty of space and a private balcony overlooking the beautiful green area that trails down to the Guadalupe River. This condo has amazing views in every direction, beautiful upgrades throughout, and will meet all your vacation needs. This 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo sleeps and allows 6 guests maximum. Master Bedroom: King 2nd Bedroom: Full and Twin Livingroom: Sleeper Sofa Fully furnished with bathing towels, bed linens, cookware, a standard drip coffee maker, dishwasher, washer/dryer, TV's and more! Property grills are located down the green area with picnic tables going down toward the second pool and Guadalupe River access. Water Wheel Resort Condominiums sits on Guadalupe Riverfront property with 2 Pools and 4 Hot tubs! -Sitting on the relaxing bank of the Guadalupe River you can get a 20-minute float in by walking 5 minutes over to River Acres Parks off of the Common Street Bridge, get in, and float down to the private Water Wheel Resort riverbank (make sure you’re wearing the property specific wristband!) and repeat for free all day long! -Take advantage of the beautiful green area on property, bring some lawn chairs to sit and have a day on the riverbank with the convenience of staying on property for lunch and bathroom breaks. -A quick 10-minute walk to the Schlitterbahn East -Blastenhoff entrance! Pack your cooler, and sunscreen, and don't have to deal with finding a parking spot! - Walk with your tubes and cooler for about 15 minutes to Prince Solms Park/Hinman Island Park for public access to the Comal River and Tube Chute, jump in and float down to the last public exit (corner of S Union and Lincoln St) About a 2 hour float! Walk back to Water Wheel about 15 minutes! --Take a brisk 20 minute walk to nearby restaurants or stroll further into downtown New Braunfels to enjoy more local restaurants, bars and breweries, shop in our quaint boutiques, and get strudel in the oldest bakery in Texas, Naegelin's Bakery! - If you want to float a long portion of the Guadalupe River, we advise you to drive to Rockin R to rent THEIR tubes and use their shuttle service. -And, Gruene, Texas with the world-famous Gruene Hall and delicious restaurants such as Gruene River Grill and The Gristmill are only a 10-minute drive away! Places we recommend that are within a 10-20 minute walk to and from the complex: Restaurants: Pats Place, Tin Top Burgers, Union Street Station, Muck & Fuss, New Braunfels Coffee, The Mess Around, Naegelin's Bakery, Bootlegger Pizza, Krause’s Café, McAdoos Seafood, Myrons Prime Steakhouse. Bars/Night Life: The Oyster Bar, Calahans Pub & Pizza, Black Whale Pub, Moonshine & Ale, Phoenix Saloon, Scores Sports Bar, The Pour Haus, Downtown Social. Everyone in party must be 25 or older to book. Renter's ID and Credit Card must be presented to receive check-in information. Occupancy is not to be exceeded at any time. No daytime guests are allowed. Pet-friendly unit with additional fees. Wristbands and Parking Passes are enforced at this property. Each condo will receive wristbands per maximum occupancy, which must be worn at all times while on property and 2 parking passes. Renters are guaranteed 1 marked parking spot close to the front door of the condo while second-vehicle parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis anywhere unmarked on property. Overflow parking is first-come, first-served on Mather St. running parallel to the condo complex. Security guards are enforced on premises to ensure only guests of Water Wheel are using the grounds are parking in correct parking spaces. Monthly Rates in our Low Season are available!

We enjoyed the rapids on the river at the access for this condo. The furnishings and size felt very homey to us. Everything was clean and easy check-in/check-out process. The management was easy to get in-touch with and accommodating. I left something very valuable in the condo and River City Resorts did everything they could to return to me promptly. Honest and reputable management! We will stay here again!

Overall great place for what we needed it for. Would say driving distance to Schlitterbahn for my particular family, however I did see younger (than me) adults walking it no problem. Easy access to both rivers but not necessarily for floating, but for more of hang out with good people and chill. We did locate a short float access point but with limited time we opted to chill in the swimming pool even after being at a water park all day. Lots of choices for restaurants, groceries, delivery, etc

Nice place, though a bit dated but clean. Had beds and showers, A/C worked well, what else could you ask for?! Close to Gruene, and the river - used local company for tubes and transportation for river fun! Loved seeing the local deer in the neighborhoods as we drove to Gruene and river. We had 4 adult women for a river floating trip and had plenty of space.
I love the ap for easy check in, no running to an office somewhere for a key. The room was very clean, icemaker door dispenser didn't work but it did make ice so not a big deal. The property was clean and the check in process was easy. Easy river access from the back of the property. We reserved tubes and they were in the condo for us, however two of them were not fully inflated so we had to wait 30 minutes for someone to come replace them. It would be nice if there were some instructions or a local map on where to drive/leave a vehicle to float the river. The condo does not supply toiletries so bring shampoo, conditioner and soap. We had 3 vehicles and didn’t realize that every vehicle must have a parking permit, even if you park inside the parking lot in an unmarked/ visitor parking space. Our car was towed so that delayed leaving by an hour and incurred an additional $300 expense to the tow company. The rental agreement mentions parking but there should be more upfront communication about requiring every vehicle to have a permit regardless of where you park the premises. There are lots of parking spaces that aren’t marked and no where inside the parking lot does it mention towing. Only a sign as you enter from the street.

The Waterwheel's best feature is location, on the river and close to other city activities. The next best features are the lawn and spacious condo. However, this condo was quite dated and the pools were small. When we pay a lot of money to travel and stay somewhere we want a place that feels upscale, creates an atmosphere, is comfortable and stunning and memorable. We were disappointed that this condo felt dark and old. It was clean, but not inviting. I recognize that it has minimal light coming in the front and back because they are covered areas, but that should be taken into account to brighten up the design. There was one condo building at the Waterwheel that was newly painted gray outside and it looks beautiful. I hope the rest are soon to be painted.

This resort was recommended by my daughter's friend so checked it out and opted to stay here while we vacationed at Schlitterbahn. Condo very spacious and comfortable. Unit was clean, with plenty of sleeping space, washer/dryer and kitchen. Disadvantage was that it was on 2nd floor and made hauling 2 kids and belongings up and down tasking. BUT there was an elevator which was very helpful. One bed was not mad when we arrived and called office. They came right away and took care of it. Went to the pool on our day of arrival since we had promised the kids they could swim. It was closed. Didn't know they closed every Monday for cleaning. Took a while to figure out ice maker, thought it was broke (just needed to turn it on with a button inside freezer). Had plenty of towels/washcloths. Overall nice place to stay.

The condo was fine and the check in and check out process was satisfactory. The problem is with the deposit refund process. We checked out on 8/7. It is now 8/25 and I am still waiting for my deposit to be refunded. I called last week and was told it was processed on 8/18. It still has not shown up on my credit card. There are other rental companies in the area that I am sure will be willing to accept my business in the future.
