One bedroom downstairs off the living area and two bedrooms upstairs. The large backyard with multiple patio seating areas makes this the perfect home for entertaining friends and enjoying a Mid-Coast evening in the comfort of your own private space. An easy stroll past picket fence yards to world class restaurants, shopping, wine-tasting rooms, antiques stores, and movie theatres. A visit to Paso Robles and The Olive Gate is immersing yourself into our friendly, simpler lifestyle. Hospitality is the town's middle name. Return from your visits to the various wine trails, farmers' market, or Mid-State Fair and be greeted by the friendly, bright red front door. We stayed at Olive Gate for a long weekend. We have two dogs and are always looking for rentals with fenced in yards and places to relax and socialize outside. Olive Gate had beautiful front and back yards completely fenced in and quite a few areas to mingle outside. The location was great and in walking distance of shops, bars, and restaurants downtown. The house was clean, well decorated, and even though the house is older it had modern furniture and appliances. One item to note is that the largest beds are Queen sized which was a tight squeeze for us and the dogs. Overall we had a great stay!

Marvelous house for our stay in Paso Robles. Do be aware that the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms are up a flights of very steep stairs. This place is set up to make your stay very comfortable.

The guest house was so charming! The location was perfect for morning walks to get coffee. This is the first rental we have stayed at that had more than enough toilet paper, paper towels and trash bags. The kitchen was very well stocked if you’ll be cooking. The house was clean with plenty of towels. The beds were comfortable. The only negative was the upstairs bedroom with two beds was very warm. We had our daughter sleep on the pullout couch due to the temperature. She said it was pretty comfy. We would definitely stay at the guest house again! The house was so inviting and the yard was beautiful. I would highly recommend this beautiful guest house!

The house is in a nice location and well kept. However, the house next door was under construction from 7AM to 3PM and this was not disclosed ahead of time. I would be sure and ask about this ahead of time if you do not want to hear construction noise at 7 AM. Otherwise the house was lovely.

Our recent stay at the Olive Gate Guest House was absolutely phenomenal! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the charming and well-maintained property. It provided everything we needed for a memorable and comfortable vacation. We can’t recommend it highly enough!
First and foremost, the outdoor living space was a dream come true. The ample space, complete with a fire pit and BBQ, made our evenings cozy and enjoyable. Another highlight of the yard was that it was fully fenced and secure for our furry companions. Our dog had a blast exploring the space, and we had peace of mind knowing he was safe.
The location of the property was another standout feature. Being within walking distance to downtown Paso was incredibly convenient. We enjoyed strolling through the charming streets, exploring local shops, and soaking up the scenery of the park.
Additionally, the overall cleanliness and upkeep of the VRBO were impressive. The property was spotless, and it was obvious that the owners take pride in providing a wonderful guest experience. Our party of four used two of the three bedrooms, which both had queen beds, one upstairs and one downstairs. The third available bedroom upstairs had two twin beds. (As others reviews have mentioned, the stairs are steeper than normal, which was not a problem for us, but my elderly parents wouldn’t have been able to take the bedroom upstairs.) The kitchen was well-appointed, with all of the dishes and utensils we needed to cook meals

The OliveGate was a wonderful, charming and cozy home, we loved it! We had 2 couples altogether, but it could have accommodated more. The yards were stunning and so well manicured. The entire house was clean, well decorated and well appointed. The kitchen had everything we needed and was roomy. Location was wonderful, walking distance to the downtown square. This place will be our go to from now on on ur stays in Paso Robles! It was just fantastic!!
