Fabulous location and welcoming host.
Room was a little small.

The host met us after giving clear check in instructions (with photos), he was very helpful throughout our stay. The breakfast was good, our room was spacious with a balcony and private patio off to the side. The highlight was the unique nature of the property - a historic house renovated into a boutique hotel. The shared spaces and garden were a nice respite from the busy street.
The rooms face a busy touristry street, however it does get quiet at midnight and the sound proof shutters are effective.

Central location and nice garden area for breakfast/ relaxing. Also the balcony of the room was really spacious and nice. The breakfast was OK but coffee was average.
When we arrived the staff weren’t overly welcoming and asked for payment upfront before we’d even been shown to our room. The room had a bad, damp smell when we arrived which was due to a wet bath mat that had been left in the bathroom.
The staff knocked on our bedroom door twice during our stay to look at the air conditioning but with no prior warning, whilst we were showering and were quite insistent on coming in to check it. We had to ask them twice to come back later.
The location of the property is good as very central but the street is very busy and only accessible by foot therefore not good if you have bags etc.
Bed was also very hard.
