Stunning colonial home. Such a pleasure to stay with wonderful staff, food, ambience & vistas of the valley beyond.
It was gorgeous nothing to not like and even fellow guests were friendly and lovely.

I stayed here from May 24th to the 26th, and I can honestly say this place exceeded every expectation. The estate is absolutely beautiful and decorated so nicely. The outside is what really takes your breath away because the surrounding trees and greenery make the entire property feel surreal and peaceful.
What truly sets Flame Tree Estate apart is the staff. I have traveled globally and experienced great service, but the hospitality here is from another planet. They pay attention to every single detail. They actually remembered the specific fruits I liked, my exact coffee order, and my favorite drinks, always making sure I had exactly what I wanted before I even had to ask.
Huge praise to the owner David and the General Manager Angelo Perera. Your team is fantastic. Manju, Hirad, and Lahiru took such great care of me and were incredibly kind every single day. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

The house is incredibly beautyful and charming with Art Deco funiture, local antiquities and lots of paintings on the walls .
Also the garden and the pool are just heavenly.
The food niveau is solid and the staff is always friendly, helpful and caring.
The atmosphere is cosy and familiar, that you can get in contact with lovely people, If you want to, as we did.
We loved that place and will certainly come back.
A few very little details such as missing hand rails.
