About this condo rental
Situated in Salzburg, this attractive condo for $85 per night is a great option for your next vacation. The 45m2 large 2-bedroom apartment is on the first Floor of a former town house (master carpenter house) and originally dates from the late 15th Century and has recently undergone a complete renovation. The apartment offers the combination of old buildings and new, contemporary furnishings with a new bathroom with large shower. The house itself has a spacious lift. The Steingasse is one of the oldest streets in Salzburg and sprayed driving a unique atmosphere. The alley is particularly appreciated by artists and visitors at the Salzburg Festival. The apartment is located near the Mozart ridge leading over the Salzach. The main attractions and the festival district are within walking distance in a few minutes. A few doors down you will find the restaurant "Andi Hofer", Salzburg's oldest and most popular student pub and other restaurants. Central, but still quiet! Furnishing: consistently new furniture! Double bed: 160 x 200; an easy pullout sofa bed (140 x 200) Dining table, wardrobe, mirror, etc. Equipment: Fi, cable TV, mini-disc system, household appliances, hair dryer, fully equipped kitchen (oven, stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, coffee maker) and a basic equipment with coffee.

Fantastic apartment which slept 3 (or 4) very well. Host was very approachable and available. We had a small hiccup at checkin which he dealt with immediately and effectively, and as it was possible, we were able to checkin early when our train arrived. Well appointed apartment and a very pleasant stay.

The apartment was clean and very well located. You can walk pretty much anywhere from apartment. It was a little hard to locate at first but then no problem. Was great to have a lift for luggage. A great stay in Salzburg

The Central City Apartment was the most unique and enjoyable stay we have had in years! The location was perfect, right across from Mozartsteg. We were there during the snowstorm and the Christmas markets. What a fantastic place to come back to after a day of sightseeing. The place is cozy, comfortable, and unique. My wife and I have already talked about coming back to Salzburg and staying there again. Thank You Hannes!

We loved staying at this unique and comfortable property, built into the rock wall on Steingasse. It was an easy and enjoyable walk to Linzergasse, Old Town, and Mirabellplatz. The amenities made our stay easier. Salzburg was wonderful!

The apartment was easy to find, and very close to access town across the river. We had trouble with the washing machine, getting it to open, but the host was quick to respond to questions.
We would stay there again, and recommend to friends and family going to Salzburg.

We had a superb time in Salzburg and the great location of Hannes appartment provided a very central and convenient launching pad to see the sights of Salzburg. As a couple in our late sixties we enjoyed the comfort of the appartment, and it’s amenities and would have no hesitation in staying there again. We also enjoyed two fabulous meals in the Steingasse within a couple of minutes of the apartment.

It was an excellent ideal for two people. It had everything you needed and more. The interaction with the owner was very good. It was very central and the transport links by bus we're also very good. If we came to Salzburg again this is where we would stop. And for myself the lift was a bonus.

We really enjoyed our 6 night stay in Salzburg. The location was excellent - within walking distance to everything. The apartment was very comfortable and was well-stocked. Everything worked very well - nice large shower, washer, and even a dishwasher! We enjoyed walking down the old cobblestone street and exploring the area. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay!

Fabulous little flat with loads of historic character, with the back of the building built into the cliff face. Ideally located within a short walk of the old town. Lovely modern decor and well-equipped. Host extremely helpful and responsive. Very impressed!

We stayed four nights. The location is excellent, walking distance from everything but tucked away on a quiet narrow street. Check in and out we’re seamless. This is a gem.

VRBO just like the pictures. The place was clean, tidy, and a good amount of amenities (towels, cookware, seasoning, toiletries, etc). It was very close to the heart of the old town of Salzburg and Fortress Hohensalzburg. It was interesting having part of the wall being part of the mountain. We visited in late March and we were surprised at how warm the apartment was given that the weather was pretty cool. Not sure if that was due to the apartment being built partly in a mountain, but it wasn’t uncomfortable with the fan. Overall, a great stay in Salzburg.

From traveling as a couple, to a family with an infant who has grown in to a toddler, this apartment is just a few minutes walk from the Aldstadt and all of the attractions Salzburg has to offer. It’s a great alternative to a hotel room if you need to spread out a little. We never manage to stay indoors for more than just sleeping, but the slight extra space works for us. Minor note…it’s literally in the mountain so you’ll sense some earthy notes upon entry :) Can’t wait to be back!

This place intrigued us from the moment we read the listing and reviewed the photos. But being there for our stay was fabulous! The unit is in the first floor (not to be confused with the ground floor), but thankfully there is a lift you can use upon arrival with all of your baggage. The uniqueness of the apartment being built into the side of a rock face is apparent from the minute you step into the building. We found the unit to be clean, comfortable, very well stocked, and in a truly wonderful location ~ walkable to most anything and everything, yet far enough away to be quiet at night. It was refreshing to have a separate living area with a table and couch. Everything served to make the apartment feel like a home away from home. Hannes was very responsive any time we reached out. We had a thoroughly enjoyable time in Salzburg, and our stay was a big part of it.

This apartment was a wonderful part of our recent stay in Salzburg. Easily accessible, safe, comfortable, clean! I can’t say enough positive about our experience. To top it off, our host was extremely helpful and showed a genuine concern for our comfort. In summary, if I’m ever in Salzburg again, I will look for this apartment FIRST before renting anything else!!

Just a 5-10 minute walk from Altstaldt Salzburg, and it was very easy to find with Hannes’s detailed instructions including which buses to take or how to direct the taxi. The apartment was clean with the exception of a few spiders we found, but Hannes explained that when the weather gets humid, the spiders come through the cracks in the rock the apartment is built into so it’s hard to prevent them. The shower was beautiful - both a hand held and rainfall shower! The kitchen was very well stocked. The decorations are eclectic but very fun and colorful. Hannes was very prompt in communicating and replying to my questions. Thank you for letting us stay in your amazing apartment!

This stay has everything you need for a great time in Salzburg: close proximity to the city center, the bus line is only a 2 minute walk, markets and restaurants a block away, and the space is comfortable and clean. Hannes is an excellent host and communication is quick and easy. I highly recommend, you won’t be disappointed!

Comfortable place with lots of amenities and a historic touch
What I really enjoyed was the availability of tea, coffee, salt, pepper and some other useful food items in the kitchen. There was also an abundance of towels, toilet paper and cleaning stuff - really a well-stocked apartment. We would have appreciated a second fan for the second room as it got really hot during our stay and both rooms needed cooling. All in all a good experience.

Hannes was very responsive to our emails as well as through the cell. Love the comfort of the apartment, it’s decoration as well as the distribution of the space.

The building is built into the mountainside. The entry way wall is the mountain rock. The kitchen window opens to the side of the rock wall. It is natural air conditioning at it's best. Wonderful experience! Gorgeous bathroom. Comfortable bed. We found that 4 night stay is too short for Salzburg. Hannes is a great communicator. Gives you every detail about the apartment in advance.
