The location is helpful for the station but far still a mile from the heart of town. You do receive a complimentary bus pass.
The room was also nicely decorated
The area felt a bit unsafe at night. The cost is pretty high for a standard room without breakfast

Loved having close, free parking - we left the car in their lot for our overnight stay. The room was large and comfortable - loved the bathroom. The hotel itself was beautiful. The front desk answered all questions and were very polite and welcoming - no complaints!
Any closer to the old town in Salzburg would have been out of our price range, so we were happy to walk a bit, but just be aware that it's about a 20 minute walk into town. We walked into town twice during our overnight stay and highly recommend using the bus/tram to shave some minutes off of that walk, since you'll be walking quite a bit once you get into the main section of Salzburg that you're probably visiting for.

The location was close to train station and Old Town.
The property was run down. It felt like staying at home of grandmother who is on a pension and saving pennies. The decor was old, the breakfast mediocre. Layout was awkward and uncomfortable.
