Location It’s an old hotel but looks great very clean and comfortable Gorgeous staircase Everywhere also had a lovely smell

Comfortable and spacious room: The room was a good size and there was enough space around the bed. The bed itself was comfortable. Tea facilities: It was good to have a kettle, tea and milk in the room. Breakfast: Although there was not a great deal of variety, I enjoyed the breakfast. However, it could be improved by offering some vegetables or other options for guests who do not eat pastries, bacon or sausages. Kitchen staff: The person in charge of the kitchen was very nice, friendly and helpful. Their attitude was welcoming and made a positive impression.

Reception and customer service: The receptionist was not particularly friendly or professional throughout my stay. Several interactions left me disappointed with the level of customer service. I was given two door cards that did not work. Rather than simply checking or replacing the cards, the receptionist assumed that I was not using them correctly and demonstrated how I should use the card. I have stayed in many hotels and know how to use a hotel door card. The cards simply were not working. It would have been more helpful to resolve the problem rather than assume that the customer was using the cards incorrectly. I also found it inappropriate that the receptionist corrected a colleague in front of customers. She told the colleague, “You used that door when it is clearly written that you should not use that door,” and the colleague apologised. I felt this was unnecessary and unprofessional to do in front of guests. Any correction or feedback between colleagues should, in my opinion, be handled privately. Noise: The room was very noisy. I could hear people talking loudly outside the hotel, and the doors in other rooms made an extremely loud noise when they closed. The doors appear to be very heavy and close forcefully, which made the noise particularly disruptive at night. Carpets: The carpets are very old and visibly worn and would benefit from being replaced. Steam/vent issue: After taking a shower, the steam vent/release drops dark residue into the sink. It also makes a noise throughout the night, which was disturbing.
