My wife and I booked this hotel for weekend Friday 04/09/2026 until Sunday 06/09/2026. We received notification that we would need the bank card we used to make reservation and a photo id , passport , but this included photo car licence , bus pass and passport pictures on phone. We were also advised overnight bags could be stored in reception ahead of check in. We arrived by train and left our bags at reception but a very pleasant man on the desk, filled out all the paperwork ahead of check in and also offered refurbished room with walk in shower and new beds for £20 more for the 2 nights , we took this option and was given room 341 ( well satisfied). The room was clean and comfortable with soap and shower gel dispenser's provided There is a few steps to access but lifts take to most areas. There is a restaurant offering breakfasts and evening meals , we didn't take up the offer. There is also an indoor swimming pool which looked clean and well presented (didn't use) but be aware room towels should not be used and a £10 charge is needed for towels. There is a entertainment bar with entertainment , we had a comedian Friday and a Shirley Bassey take off Saturday all good. The hotel is warm and clean and it falls about midway between town and the train station with good transport links, even passes the hotel. We would use this hotel again.
