I think if you want champagne and silver service (which we didn’t) it may not meet your expectations however for an amazing country in with friendly staff, good atmosphere, bar in the country where you are welcome with your dog at exceptional value it’s amazing. For us I wouldn’t change anything. Will definitely stay there again.

It was very charming. The staff were friendly. The food was good and plentiful.
The only downside was the room. The lighting was poor. The bathroom smelt very damp and condensation was extreme which made the whole room feel damp. We weren’t able to dry the towels because the heated towel rail was not working.

Easy to find. Character of building.
lack of signage. Sloping roof on 'walking' side of room meant having to stoop to avoid hitting head. Both bathroom taps moved when turned, meaning had to hold base in order to operate. Food not great. 'Homemade' tomato soup had consistency of cranberry sauce and warm not hot, bread was catering (sourced part baked ?), bought in fries with vinegary buffalo sauce and blue cheese taste non existent.
